My point is that there are disfunctional families with scumbgs acting as the male guardian throughout our society.
If you think about it, there must be thousands of kids at risk from men with criminal pasts. I am therefore surprised more kids are not murdered if these men are liable to be child murderers. In actual fact children are more in danger from depressed biological parents. |

If the police suspected him from the start and they knew he didn`t drive then perhaps they should have been more thorough in searching the loft instead of implementing Christine into it.

The jurors will have to decide though Tobe, can they be sure it wasn`t an accident. The autopsy was inconclusive regarding cause.

I imagine i would panic if a tragic accident happened when i was the only adult but fk me dont think i would wrap up the body and hide it in the loft. He is clearly guilty. Wasnt his napeighbour also under suspicion? Surely guilty, sadly sexually motivated too. I also cant be having any excuses from the cops, they should have found the body earlier. It was sad, embarassing and ultimately tragic at a time when the country was on a high duringthe olympics.

Yesterdays news was truly terrible - even the six o'clock news contained so much child molestation , murder and kidnapping i really didnt want my kids to see. You would like to think when this scumbag gets to prison he will be torn to pieces and live his life in fear - but i strongly suspect the entire secure wing is filling up with these evil perverts now.

He wont get a reduced sentence surely. Prob get life with at least forty years before being eligible for parole like huntley. Maybe he was telling the truth and thinks the family have been through enough.

Guilty of murder verdict was inevitable - his brief probably told him as much and he might as well fess up. Doubt it will do him any good though.

Where the offender is 21 or over at the time of the offence and the court takes the view that the murder is so grave that the offender should spend the rest of his life in prison, a 'whole life order' is the appropriate starting point. The early release provisions in section 28 of the Crime (Sentences) Act 1997 will then not apply. Such an order should only be specified where the court considers that the seriousness of the offence is exceptionally high. Such cases include: a) the murder of two or more persons where each murder involves a substantial degree of premeditation, the abduction of the victim, or sexual or sadistic conduct; b) the murder of a child if involving the abduction of the child or sexual or sadistic motivation; c) a murder done for the purpose of advancing a political, religious or ideological cause; or d) a murder by an offender previously convicted of murder. |

Incidentally I don't think chit-chat favourites Huntley and Vincent Tabak are not subject to this tariff. And many will remember the embarrassing occasion when the CDDA imposed its own "whole life tariff" on the Bristol landlord before he was even arrested. The wrong-un test is not infallible though it was spot on with Hazell. |
