Who is blaming the police? I dont understand why. They did not kill Tia. They found her body and arrested a suspect. Sky and BBC have all jumped to conclusions...they may be wrong. They dont know the facts yet.

The Police become the target because the media have to hold back on criticising the family before the court case.

Agree blades.

How many people get reported missing in any one day. For every tragic case like this one there are 100s of cases where the missing person turns up safe and well. Easy to say the police should have done this and done that earlier but, I'm sure they follow a procedure and did in this case.

As many others have said, they didn't kill the poor girl. So rather than blaming the police for not finding the body sooner, maybe it would be better to vent any anger at the person responsible.

Looks like she was there for a week and didn't find her - she was right under their noses the whole time. There was little evidence she ever left the house - nothing on CCTV, the mobile left at home. What if she'd been alive and injured? It's possible - they had no reason to be 100% sure she was dead. Staggering ineptness IMO.

Has anyone heard from poor Tia's biological father?

Hellisio

From what i know he has not been involved in Tia`s life for about 7 years but knowing how these things work he could have been shut out of her life. Not sure.
He wanted to make a press appeal last week but for whatever reason it never happened.

Chit chat detective agency shows staggering ineptitude on this case. The lads at work had this one worked out the minute we saw the accused give his tv interview.

The entire nation seems to have had it figured out except for trusting family members.

This was one bad bastard who deceived the family and murdered a 12 year old girl. Yes the family live on a council estate but it would not be fair to tar them as scum. Christine was at work and had no idea what had happened to Tia.

ClayDavis I don't recall ANYBODY saying that. She was small. An what on earth does 6ft etc etc mean? A woman's death does not give the police the immediate right to search the houses of tall people!

I notice not one of the people accusing the police of incompetence seems to have an idea of their rights to search.

Once the doorbell rang and there were about 10 coppers outside with two alsatians. They asked if they could search the house. I was housesharing with 6 other people then. I said sure, and they did. So if you agree to it they can.

The lack of a loft ladder appears to have flumoxed them.....How you can leave about a 1/3rd of the house unsearched is beyond me when looking for a missing child.....

I know we dont know the facts but how many days until a ladder went in?

".... lads at work had this one worked out the minute we saw the accused give his tv interview."

that interview was a bit odd, he went from trying to appear upset
to a jokey mood, when he said he wished she was down MacDonalds spending his tenner
and said "Hey Tia I want my tenner back." That was pretty unconvincing
and just thought if he did do it, then he wouldn't be the first
guilty person doing a TV appeal !

The criminologist said the same thing, he wont from upset to jokey quickly. A born thief, liar and murderer. Hope he rots.

That seems to be the case. How the loft was not searched is beyond comprehension.

I don't know for sure, but if someone wants to enter your house they have to see a magistrate and convince him that there are grounds. I'd have thought they'd have done so, but would ask to search without mentioning a warrant out of sensitivity first.

Do you have a link Ylime.

The nan was interviewed last night and released but not arrested. Other family members who had been in the house were also questioned as routine.

You just have this bizarre image in your head.

"Can we search the house?"
"Of course. Everywhere except the loft"
"I see"

If someone helped them move the body this could have been manslaughter not murder.

A very very sad caseSad  Manslaughter should not even be considered if they knew of a dead body for a week.

Do we know what gran does for a living?

The third party is extremely strange. Moving a body might seem the obvious explanation...but then moving it back?
By:
Latalomne

If the property had been swept with dogs and had been given the all clear, maybe moving the body back would seem like quite a logical (given the circumstances) almost 'safe' thing to do?
