Sadly these days, I'm afraid that British Police 'forces' are much too concerned with : a) Constructing wincingly politically-correct websites, and communicating via Twitter b) Obsessing about Diversity, Gender, Sexual Preference, Religion and Equality rather than upholding law and order c) Pursuing nutter objectives such as ensuring that No Transgendered Officer Is Left Behind d) Driving around in vehicles bearing depressing slogans such as 'Serving Communities' It hardly needs re-stating but the ONLY community the police should be serving is the law-abiding community, and protecting us from the criminal community. You'd think that the police would find it a formality to gain the respect of the law-abiding community and the fear of the criminals. Sometimes I think they've managed to achieve the very opposite. |

If i had no connection to Tia`s family i would have seen the obvious. Yet what happens is people who you are good judges of character just will not accept somebody so close to them could possibly do the unthinkable, even with such a chequered past.
My first question to my wife on monday was `and what is Christines boyfriend like?` I was told he had been on the scene for a while, didnt drive and people believed in him. How wrong can you be. |

I just watched the interview he did and apart from the use of the past tense to describe their relationship at one point, which isn't totally damning in my opinion, I have to say he sounded genuine enough. I'm not surprised family were fooled, if that's what it turns out to be.
