Only one mention on here about the Arkle winner. Celestial Halo has over 20ib on its nearest rival on hurdles form (Medmermit excluded) as no doubt King will change his mind and keep him over hurdles. Celestial will lead them all a merry dance and win on the steal by 25 lengh +

This 2 1/2 m new novice chase throws a spanner in the works for ante post arkle punters. It could be the biggest obstacle for the likes of Peddlers Cross backers.

Another potential obstacle for PC backers is the fact that there has been no report (as far as I am aware) that he will be going anywhere near a fence for now.

from what i've read peddlers will be aimed at something like the fighting fifth in his first attempt to tell connections whether he can cope against the top 2 milers...if not ....he will go down the staying route.

Had a little on Muirhead EC, he bolts up by 20L tomorrow he shortens.

turned into a bit of sprint i thought EC. No harm in him having won over 2m4 already. Keep the faith!

limitations showed at the end....he's basically being talked up because he's the only half decent arkle hope to have run yet....plenty better than him to come in the next few months.

What limitations? Readily asserted when shook up slightly and was foot pefect over his fences.

he was shaken up to beat a horse nigh on 2 stone below him on hurdle ratings....so do you think the 2nd is going to be better over fences or the winner ...not as good?

Looks more of a stayer don't think they should go Arkle route more of an RSA horse to me.

Hard to be critical of that imo, was in front for a long way, idled a little at the end, but he is some jumper. Exposed? Not imv.

That's the trouble with this new race now you couldn't back LML for any race at the festival as haven't a clue which 1 he's gonna end up in.

wouldn't have thought any real grade 1 horse will end up in the new race....if i owned one...i'd gamble one way or the other arkle or rsa.

I'd agree in that if they go for the 2m 4f race they wouldn't have been good enough to win arkle anyway.

Bloo S**** do offer prices on any horses winning at the Festival .. so would protect you in case the connections went for a different race ... odds will be much reduced mind ..

he has a stamina edge yeah but so have plenty of Arkle winners/placed horses in the past ..

worth mentioning that andy steart has said he doesnt think celestial halo can win an arkle and is gonna have a 2m 4 hurdle campaign most probably. i didnt think he could anywya
