Good luck if you go for that one Chav.
Looking at a couple myself, Jigs Princess in the Nursery at 3.35 and maybe Gold Arch in the 4.05. Best race of the day is in France in the Group 2 Prix Foy at 4.10 Stradivarius or Anthony Van Dyck? Last chance at this distance for the first mentioned and I'm sure that the stable have one eye on the Arc if he does win, was two and a half lengths behind AVD at Newmarket but Strad will have come on a lot since that race, bring it on. |

Aye ...... mrs Noc sadly might argue a different case

UL today Chav, 2nd only beaten 1/2L, looked the winner 1f out to me.
Someone above asked if I had anything this week.... Ive got a few and I will share on here yah....if anyone fancies any that might tip me over edge to stick em up. 315 THIRSK MONDAY - CHILLON CASTLE - This one has not been giving full effort if you watch its races, it must have a good chance tomorrow running in a shocking race, not convinced Thirsk 6f will bring out its best so I will be playing it but possibly not putting it up as the week NAP 135 TIPP TUESDAY - JAZZ DREAMERS - I think its Sligo run over 5.5F warrants it a mark off higher than the 55 it shall be running off...not by much but 60 rated would be where its at imo...making this a potential option...this also gets a dreadful race that is wide open, could be a play. 440 YARM THURS - VEDUTE - Stinking ride at York last time and well beaten, -3lb at Yarmouth instead and down 2 classes means its a definite player, can bounce back. 510 YARM THURS - TOTAL COMMITMENT ran a cracker considering not getting the run of the race at all at Windsor last time, down 1lb at Yarmouth for this one, should be able to give its running regardless of draw, course should suit, never ran there. then the most likely to play as things stand: FRIDAY...multiple entries....FARASI LANE - Marked this one as a potential lenient mark. Not seen very much of it but its last race at kempton for me it lacked urgency at the start and therefore gained a poor race position. Then imo margin beaten was deceptively high, eased down close home, then after the line it didnt appear too tired either...watch the replay, decide for yourself. I dont think im onto a golden nugget but certainly something to work with. Down 2lb and horses that beat it in this race have came out and ran since and done ok off of their own marks proving that this race was pretty competitive form wise helps my cause...hopefully nearer the day it gets a low draw if it does choose Kempton AW again, tucked in near enough and gives its running. |

UL today Chav. Thanks for your efforts during this round...you did the team proud.
Ha ha Stewpot, are you sure you have the right person? I followed Noc in on the partaking of an alcoholic beverage or 3 last night. I'm just a working class man though so it was a nice drop of IPA for me and not the red wine that some of the more cultured members of the team like to drink. GL this week Stew. Noc, as it's a Sunday, I will allow some small talk with other teams members, just don't go making a habit of it! Btw, thankfully to a racehorse, age really is just a number. ![]() It was me Swad. I see what you mean about CHILLON CASTLE. Personally I couldn't have it over this sharp 6F, I'd at least want to to see some evidence it can show form at 6F before even considering a bet on the beast. I'm sure it will just be a a few pennies kind of bet for you? I will look at your other picks a bit closer to each horse's post time. GL this week. |

All of Chavs selections have either won or gone very close so there's been no poor selections
And our gaffa hit a winner last week stewpot ![]() ![]() I will posting probably Wednesday or Thursday, need to try and find a winner Lets push on and get a decent lead going into round 4 ![]() |

The 1.35 at Tipperary looks a tough puzzle to solve. With many of them showing very little thus far, the market will probably be your best guide to what will happen. Its' interesting that Shane has got off yours Swad and the one he's on now has been backed. The stable have a very poor S/R but they've had 2 winners in September. Maybe the application of first time Tongue tie and cash will bring about a jolt of improvement? GL
By:
13/2 - 4/1 made all ,job done. The market will always be your best guide in these types of races.
GL Sontaran....I can sense a winner is incoming from you this week. ![]() |

Might be having a go later this afternoon at Hexham, just need to make time to study a little bit more.

Makes two of us Platinum, think I've got one for the Novices.

5.15 Hexham. The fav Return Ticket beat the 3rd fav for this Siannes Star lto giving weight so at level weights should be more of the same, but the one Im going for is the Johnson/Hobbs combination in the second favourite Leapway. The best of these over hurdles having won a Class 2 came back after a long lay off to go chasing, finished 6th of 9 on chase debut in a race where three have come out and won next time out (two of them have won twice each) then finished just 5 lengths 4th of 7 in a race where the first and second have come out and won, last time, jockey lost his irons so a good excuse to be pulled up. Hobbs has a cracking record at Hexham albeit from few runners, hope this is one more.

By:
He does look the class in the race, Plat. My one concern would be the form of the stable....the winners have few and far between since the return of racing after lockdown. GL
By:
I was going to put the other one up in the same race! Never mind I'll pull out with mine and look at another in a different race, gives the team two chances then instead of just the one chance with two selections in the same race if that makes sense. |
By:
Yes WP, the stable form is a concern but thats why its 2/1/9/4 rather than evens, worth chancing I think giving the stable record at the track, fingers and toes crossed. Thanks Tiger, but nothing to stop you putting yours up, would give us two chances?

Won easy, put it up just before the start and labelled it the 'delayed 5.15' so hope thats ok.

That was easy, well done Platinum

Good winner but probably won't be allowed for the comp. I hope you was on though, Plat?
![]() |
By:
I posted it at 17.52 which was before the race off time of 17.53, why should it be a problem?
By:
Why didn't you post it straight after you posted on the team thread?
By:
I hope it counts Plat but I think it still needs to be posted before the actual post time.
By:
It just 'says' before race time in the rules? I posted a minute before the off. It was a delayed race schedule after all.
By:
Hopefully UD will allow it for you mate.
By:
It would be sour grapes if it didn’t stand as a couple of others have had losers negated after the off time so to have a winner wiped out before the off...
By:
WP Plat ...... As you say posted 17-52,off time according to R Post 17-53.01 secs.
I can see Chavs point, tbf both of those were posted at off time, both rightly discounted. Personally,go with whatever Undecided says,he will make the right decision regardless. Evening WP,interesting entries in the Cesarewitch trial saturday, had a look yet ? |
By:
Cant see a problem as it was an official delay in race times.
By:
Sadly if UD is going by the rule it might get thrown
![]() Depends how UD determines the rule he's the runner of the comp so have to respect his decision |
By:
Well done though plat great selection nonetheless
By:
Cant see it being thrown out when the delay was announced officially at the racecourse and was stated as so on betfair markets. and on your TV screens.
By:
It was posted before the race went off so no one can have any complaints really. Let's hope UD uses his discretion and adds its to our points total.
By:
Most will be fine with it if he allowed it, 1 or 2 might moan a bit mind
By:
Just took a look now....would like to see a drop of rain for him but with this fine end to the summer we're having, that's unlikely. As for GL, it could be a touch too competitive for her.
By:
Well done Platinum
![]() I nearly put up Star Of Wins, glad I didn't. |
By:
oh dear, haven't been around today to see this unfold.
My ruling is that it is voided. In general, I have asked for posts before race time to make a clean cut-off. All I then need to do is check forum clock against scheduled race time. If I allowed posts right up to actual off-time, (which is possible as official off-times are quoted) it would make more work for me and could get messy. Now I know you will say your case was different because of an official delay, and yes you posted before the off, no hint of trying to pull a fast one, so it pains me to throw it out, but I need that clean cut-off mentioned earlier, hope you understand. |
By:
Thats darn unsportsmalike.
By:
I'm sorry you feel that way Platinum, I don't like doing it but I have to think beyond this one instance and try and be consistent across the board.
