Communicator did well to finish second at Lingfield in this grade last time out but he is still 6lbs higher than his last winning mark and may have to come down the weights a bit further yet to regain the winning thread. Both of his wins have come over 12 furlongs. We have three good ones on our side to help us out in this race and at a price of 1.96 the percentage call is to Lay Communicator in the win market.
A further rise in the weights and heavy going may combine to get Settleoutofcourt beat this afternoon. A winner of three of his last four races show the eight year old to be in fine form at the moment but the winning run has to end somewhere and it could be right here. Two of his three wins have been in Novice company and his win in an all aged Handicap Chase came off a 21lb lower mark. A small field here but a field where all six are capable of taking a hand in the finish. The percentage call here is to Lay Settledoutofcourt at around the current price of 3.65.
In the 3.45 at Lingfiled I think we can take on the favourite here in the shape of Captain Cat. His one previous attempt at this distance saw him drop out quickly after the mile post and he droped back to finish last of 7 in a Class 3 race at Newmarket. The quicker conditions of polytrack have seen him win and be runner up in two runs since then but he finished second in this grade last time out of todays mark of 97 and he didnt look like a horse that will win in this grade off this mark over an extra 10 furlongs. At least another 5 of this field are capable of taking this race and the call is to Oppose Captain Cat. Currently available to Lay of Betfair at 2.76.
In the race coming at Doncaster I think that its worth opposing the market leader here not least because Nicholls horse are generally overbet!! I don't think Atlantic Roller beat much when winning a Novices Hurdle at Exeter and although he was coming back from a long break I think they were still aiming too high in a Grade 3 Hanndicap Hurdle at Cheltenham where he was never a factor. He will come on for that race of course but the three who oppose him in this small field are all capable of winning of thi, especially Tornado Bob. The percentage call at a price of 2.6 is to Lay.
I'm going to oppose the favourite in the upcoming 7.oo race t Kempton. Absolutely So won last time but only just and the 6lb penalty he carries here will make life tough against the likes of Discussiontofollow and Angels Pursuit. He may improve of course to take this but with four or five on our side I think that the percentage call is to oppose. You can Lay at the moment at 2.5
I do realise that this is a risky Lay but at the price I feel it has to be done. Libra Romana may well improve for this step up in trip and her first venture in handicaps but in her maiden races she has not shown a great deal in my own opinion and at 2.08 the call is to Lay.
I think we have a fair chance of getting another favourite beaten this afternoon. The Tatting was beaten fair and square by Noble Citizen over this course and distance last time out. OK it was an apprentice race but both horses have the same jockeys up this afternoon and at these weights there is no reason at all why The Tatting should reverse those positions today. I've no idea why The Tatting is the head of the market at the moment trading at 2.84.

Blood Cotil hasnt always impressed with his hurdling and may well be worth taking on at very short odds on his Chase debut, at the moment he is 1.27 on here.

In the first at Ayr the Richard Fahey trained Two Shades of Grey looks to skinny to me. Hasnt done anything decent enough yet to warrant being fav here and looks to me although he needs 8 furlongs+
