As for the gay comment,of course it could be argued that they might vote for 1d if one of them was,but unfortunately they didnt seem to want to vote for diva fever.
I actually enjoyed their performances and didnt think they would leave so early,they were a good crack,what the show needed

as for the youtube figures,just go on and look,not difficult.
Chers first audition has had something like 10.5 million views,way ahead of anyone else,and some of her others are high views as well.
Rebeccas are very low,i think Matts are pretty good.

There have been examples on this forum of singers leading youtube views and losing XF, eg Diana Vickers, youtube's just one thing to note, it doesn't give the winner.

True comment about you tube,but coupled with everything else ive pointed out,Cowells comments,group songs etc etc.
Theres enough to suggest the market is wrong.

As pointed out to me,Lou macari and some of the other dodos posting on here are probably bookies trying to suck in the mugs,ive seen his thread,Matts choo choo,yeh right.
Right load of old tosh,Matt does not have great vocals,fact,has been knocked by Simon on more than one occasion,fact,winners dont get knocked,they get praised,fact,yes Cher has had a few dodgy comments,but not for her singing ABILITY,for picking the wrong song,and on one occasion for being to copycat,not her fault.
But she learns fast and has more ability than the others and is far more entertaining.
I would have the final three as Cher,One direction and Matt,not because of his ability,but because hes better than that boring Rebecca.

Journeyman I think she's extremely talented and fun, I think Cowell loves her, and I like to look for upsets / ways she could win. She is the only one who has surprised the audience before. And I don't think there will be much of an anti-vote in the final two as you say, her problem is just getting the positive vote.

However, though we recognise her talent we must be objective and concentrate on what the majority think. Her occasional bolshie comments don't help but it's her style that's the problem.

On Saturday one performance was her traditional insertion of rap into a song and the other was a rock & rap song. Rap is a minor genre. The average voter associates rap with crime, violence and stupidity (and with sound reason).

How therefore can she win over the XF demographic (she's not going to do just Stay type performances from now on)?

so some on here say she's the most interesting contestant.  Being 'interesting' won't make her the winner.  Wagner was interesting.  She just won't appeal to the wide XF demographic.  She is marketable and will probably be able to start a successful career on the back of being on the show.  But I don't see her winning.

i saw her trying to act all "street" when there will be thousands of young kids in city centres around the UK who can freestyle better than she can perform a rehearsed rap.  i thought she was a c*nt.

Simon Cowells not an idiot,hes going to be looking at these 5 acts left from every angle,and one will be,well who are these people.
First we have Matt,in Matts own words before his audition " im a painter now and again but to be honest im a bit of a bum",Louie after the audition,"something quirky and likeable"(not star quality),Simon did say i really really like you,but after his audition Matt said,"after that i think i need a cigarette and a beer"(bad example to kids),and Simon will have it in the back of his mind,has this guy got the right kind of application,i very much doubt it.
Second we have Rebecca,in Rebeccas own words before her audition "whose going to want me now ive got a kid,never wanted to be anything else"(like a million others out there),followed by the tears and a massive sob story,add to that shes admitted herself that her confidence has gone,and her nodding dog routine(absolutely does my head in),Simons not going to be filled with confidence about her,and lets face it,Leona lewis is different league,so its a case of no room at the inn.
Third on we have One Direction,a mish mash of nobodies,put together by Cowell because of the shortage of talent in the group section,in one of their numbers on last weekends double header,only 3 of the group actually sang during the whole performance!!!,and one was that Zain,and i still think hes sh*te,he is totaly lacking in vocal ability and confidence.
Mary,well think the best thing anyone can do there is harpoon her,put us all out of our misery,Reykjavik's popular Saegreifinn seafood shack,moby dick on a stick  $15 [:D]
Last of all we have Cher,came on for her audition,looked nervous and quite timid but wowed everyone with her performance,Louie "Cheryl,do you think Cher has the x factor",Simon "that was a great great audition,theres something special about you,i really really like you Cher",Louie "you were born to be a popstar".
Think im going to have to write a song for non believers like Lou,think i'll do it to the soundtrack of "i love rock and roll",it will be better than Matts version[:D]
The judges influence the public(sheep)and the public(baaa) act accordingly,its got nothing to do with our opinions or what we think,some posting on here should try getting a few facts together and reel their necks in a bit[;)]

rather sad that people are so used to vocal groups (Boyzone, Westloife, Take That, JLS, etc.) that they think a group comprises 4 or 5 berks on a stage, each with his own little bit to sing.

You highlight certain points of which I'm sure most are true.  Matt 'needing a beer and a cigarette' Rebecca 'shes admitted herself that her confidence has gone,and her nodding dog routine(absolutely does my head in)', but what about the qualities they do have.  George Best used to like a drink in his heyday and the nightclubs .................. but he couldn't arf' play football!

George best playing footy and who will win the x factor are 2 totally different situations.
George got away with his antics because he delivered when he had to.
These x factor contestants have to deliver as well,and some are not,all the little things like the smoking,the boozing,the"im a bit of a bum" comments.
It all counts at the end,being in the pop business is not all tea and buns.
They want someone not only with talent and public appeal,but someone that has the right attitude,someone that will apply themselves to the job.
Can we put Matt in that category,its a big fat no,"im a bit of a bum",tell the world,why should Cowell give a lazy bum a high paid position?
I think Matts cut his own throat,hes only still in because the ones that have been knocked out were total sh*te.
