Basically anyone posting negative spiteful comments about a 17 year old girl just about depicts the kind of people you are. The real problem is you cant stand seeing a young upstart with a bit of attitude making it big whilst you have to do your sh**ty minimum wage job,lifes a bitch boys,lol. |

The real problem is your judging her on what you like,and whose to say your not the one in the minority. When it comes to figuring out who the winner will be,its a bit of an idea to look at who the public like watching,DOH !!!!! 10.5 million views of her audition on youtube,add to this the figures below. Actually quite interesting those stats 247. Shows 1D aren't really getting the teeny interest they really should be getting to keep in for much longer. Or alternatively shows they have wider appeal than I have given them credit for.
Obvious question though is if Cher is far and away the most popular why did she drop into the bottom two? Could it be there is a quantum leap between clicking "love" and picking up a phone? I hope the few people who love me would at least do that for me. Either way please keep ploughing on what for you must be unbelievable odds as I want to lay off as at low odds as possible. |

well i can see what your saying,but i dont have a problem with her,i just read it that shes a young kid,and that thing where she appears to be cocky sometimes is just her trying to be a grown up.
Look at the other occasions,first when she was nearly out the week before,she was visibly shaken,the fact all her dreams could be over was suddenly dawning on her. Then the look on her face after Girlfriend ,shes a kid ffs,give her some credit,she may come across the big i am on occasions,but it must be tough for her sometimes. Its just a line of defense,what do people want her to do,come across like some dopey know nothing school kid. |

For someone that age to achieve so much in such a short space of time is amazing,if you still dont think she will win,then i suggest you go back to her audition and look at Cowells face,it was a look of disbelief,like he had just seen what he had been looking for after all these years.

Cher will set audiences alight when she starts performing professionally.
Cowell knows it and his comments are projecting her towards her goal. Im not worried about negative comments on here,she is going to win,i think matt,rebecca and one direction will be happy to just be in the final. Theres only one person that wants to win and is trying everything to win. |

I take your point that she is really just a young kid who is a bit bewildered by the whole shebang and working out how she is expected to behave/react. I have absolutely no animosity towards her. In fact I have just voted for her on survation as the candidate I would save.

Reason she hit the bottom 2 was airhead Cheryl gave her a turkey song,imagine,the fans disliked it and didnt vote,simple. And the reason one direction might not be so popular now is theres been a suggestion on the net that one of them might be gay,not exactly going to go down to well with the young girls. |

I think Cher's biggest problem has been too much press interest, not necessarily all bad.
Between the audition and the live shows, there was just too much focus on her (most of it total cr@p like looking like Cheryl and what she was wearing) but DM/Sun readers were probably sick of seeing/hearing about her before the live shows began. Gamu supporters were probably not too happy with Cheryl, Cher or Katie either. And since the live shows, most of the press has tended to be negative and bad for her. Many of her appearances on the show have tended to back it up - how she looks, talks, acts, etc. It could have been different. |

Sad to hear that you think being gay means less votes. I suspect that says more about you than it does about the millions whose views you purport to represent. Will Young? George Michael as popular as ever? Who gives a sh*t about sexuality anymore?
You may have a point re the performance and her being in the B2. This seems to confirm that many people vote purely on what they see and not blind loyalty to the "brand". |

Why Cher will win.
First audition,look on cowells face,one of disbelief,like hes won the lottery. Last Saturday,Cowells comments,if your a staunch watcher like myself,you will realise Cowell is always right,he is the only judge that knows what theyre talking about,and if he says "on the money",take it as gospel. Actually picking the winner is simple,just listen to Simon,if hes bigging someone up regularly,they always win,Leona and Joe being 2 prime examples. And even though Joe was being touted as the best act long before the final,you could still back him at a decent price when it got to the last 5 or 6. Go on the itv player and watch all the acts and make note of the comments,and i would say he strongly favours Cher and Rebecca. Halloween show,Cowell on Cher "by any standard that was absolutely incredible" 13th october show,Cowell on Cher"loved it,sounded like a record,you know what i like,you were so down after getting critism but showed your not cocky,actually take critism,handle it well,your focused and abitious" this week,Cowell on Cher"that was on the money" Simons right just about all of the time,but if you look back over previous series,i think his comments greatly influence the public. The public do vote,but dont realise Cowells power of suggestion is actually telling the majority who to vote for. On comments this year you would have to favour Cher and Rebecca,problem with Rebecca though is the MASSIVe confidence issues she has,she hardly moves at all during her performances,and on saturday it was clear for all to see from her body language that she was extremely nervous. Rebecca may have an interesting voice,but i cant say she sets me alight,every track she sings is downbeat and has a very similar sound to it,i just couldnt listen to that every. |

Good reasons (21.41 post). I agree Cowell likes the two girls best. Rebecca used to be his No 1, I'm not sure now.
However it's got to be noted that Cher has never been anywhere near Matt in the many polls, and there have been some good polls - sample of thousands, cross section or regions and ages. |

you are right,at 1st i thought it was the most competitive x factor ever,a better standard.
But as the competitions worn on,it is basically piss poor compared to other years,i mean ffs,surely they could have found someone better than Mary,Katie and the brick chewer aidan. Cher should win because shes the most interesting performer,and i think shes someway ahead on youtube views,which i think is a good indication of public interest. |

What's even more depressing is that a lot of these will have been "invited" to audition. katie with her sony/cowell contract just happens to queue for 10 hours to take her chancewith everyone else..yeah whatever...mary previous contestant in Irish contests....Matt with his record and band.

well when i said interesting,i did mean most interesting vocals.
Cher can sing well and has some very interesting vocals,but doesnt use them enough. people tend to take to much notice of the rap. Listen to all her performances,including the ones with the other contestants. Thats another point,every recent winner has had a central position in any group tracks sung by the contestants,take note of Chers this year,another pointer?. |
