schiavone should take this right ?
By:
despite the 10 pts gained in Acapulco qualies ranking has dropped to 101, 72nd in race.
waiting for IW qualies draw to come out |
By:
seeded 6 for qualies, 1st to meet Aussie Matt Reid (#221, biggest scalp Lacko in 2013 and qualifier for Wimbledon beating Smyczek), 2nd rd prob Marchenko (seeded 20)
By:
qualifying field of ATP much weaker than WTA here
By:
Reid beaten 7-6(4), 6-1 without being broken and serving 11 aces, now playing US WC Nicolas Meister (#327), who beat Marchenko in a final set tb, Thiem should be even bigger fav than he was today (where he was not value imo @1.2).

My bet on Lorenzi-Maceiras was voided? What happened? I'm done with this site.
By:
Wrong thread, sorry. Meant to say that Thiem was value and he's good.

convincing 6-4, 6-2, this time with my money on him, 26 ranking pts in the bag, 2 lucky Qs will meat each other in rd 1. Will this be drawn or done by order from top to bottom of both draws?
By:
entering new territory, 3 pts going down as 19th result
By:
This kid is totally overrated. He'll be lucky to fill Tomic's boots.
By:
we'll see, so far if he reaches top 60 end of year it's ok
By:
even 2 pairs of Qs to meet each other, Mathieu and Ginepri fight to meet Fed, Thiem and Kosakowski to meet Simon. The American looked quite dangerous the way he beat de Bakker and Goffin, seems to have a good serve as well, didn't face bp over both matches, so no money on Thiem
By:
won 6-2, 7-6(1), easier than I expected, dominated 1st set after saving 2 early bpts, better server in set 2, strngth when it mattered in tb
Simon 1.55 for rd 2, Thiem should have a chance |

Resnik is a big mug, first Austrian to participate in Ironman Hawaii, when I did my 1st triathlon (olympic distance) I already beat him
![]() |
By:
7-6(5), 6-2, great win after giving away an early 3-0 lead, he's making himself a name, next to play another Frenchman, if it's Tsonga he already took a set off last year in Vienna (with Tsonga probably being slightly minjured).
58 pts added to the tally already brings him up into mid 80s |
By:
Why is Raonic coaching Thiem? Should be focusing on his own career imo.

Bennie bt Tsonga, he's 1.7x vs Thiem, another upset possible, but unlikely imo
By:
we've seen now the 2 probably most hopeful youngsters challenging Mugray over 3 sets, what's your opinion comparing them? Thiem for sure mentally stronger and with the more reliable serve, Vesely choked it, Mugray weaker today.
By:
losing 6-7(4), 3-6, his serve let him down this time, only 37% 1st serves in set 1, and in set 2 with 73% he only won 48% on it, 2 aces and 5 dfs. Twice gave away a break lead in set 1, fought back 1 of 2 breaks down in set 2.
Yet reaching 4 of 5 tournaments entered as a qualifier and a match record of 4-4 in main draws is not that bad. |

By:
new ranking 86 and 55 in the race, 10 points to drop off next
Miami qualies Rhyne Williams first, then possibly chance to take revenge on Gojowczyk |
By:
winning 7-6(1), 6-1 after being broken first followed by immediate rebreak, 2nd rd P Polansky
By:
5th out of 6 successful qualifying, beating Polansky 6-3, 7-5
By:
one of the tougher slots for qualifyers with Rosol, Robredo waits for the winner, 3rd rd would be Gulbis (or Bennie)
By:
beating Rosol 7-6(6), 6-4, again from a break down in set 1, he still manages to surprise me, wonder what his odds will be vs Boredo.
Another pb ranking and the main draw for RG guaranteed |
By:
Robredo 1.6x, where do you think the value is?
By:
lost a rather close match 4-6, 6-7(8), Robredo's routine paid off
31 points for ranking list will move him around 80, next to come DC vs Slovakia away. First time playing and leading the team in absence of Melzer |
By:
Nomination for DC: Thiem, AHM, G Melzer, Peya
afterwards on to the dirt, his favoured surface as a Junior, playing the big tournaments with qualies: MC, Barca, Madrid Rome. I thought he would play some 250 where he is in main draw, we'll see how it turns out. |
By:
new best ranking 79th, 15 pts dropping off next week, 6 a week later; 53rd in race
By:
where does he play next?
By:
opening match vs Gombos (h2h 2:2, all from last year)
By:
lost 4-6, 6-3, 3-6, 4-6 on a fast hc indoors, unable to convert some bps for breaking back in 4th set, looks like the pressure was too much for him this time

By:
bad weekend, Peya/Thiem losing doubles in 5 sets to Klizan/Mertinak 7-6(4), 6-3, 6-7(5), 4-6, 4-6
By:
austria losing?
By:
yes, 3-0 Sovakia, AHM lost in 5 to Lacko, playing Latvia in September. Will Gulbis play? I doubt it, he didn't in 1st rd
By:
Thiem given WC for MC, no qualies

By:
1st rd Mahut, on clay he should be fav, 2nd rd prob Almugro
