the nation has already decided that Andy is the nations fav sports person
all the other deserving runners just take votes from each other would need a big campaign to stop it happening |
|
By:
Skelton will have it

I wouldn't be surprised if Murray missed out on top 3

mach - murray isn't just GB's fav sportsman, he's GB's greatest ever sportsman.
he has the scottish vote and the middle england vote wrapped up. nailed on surely? |
|
By:
Murray is definitely the nation's favourite sportsman but that doesn't mean he'll win SPOTY this time around. There are some good alternatives this year and he's already been well recognised.
|
|
By:
The alternatives consist of a serial loser and two who will split the vote.

Skelton lpm 23
![]() Once the horsey set get behind someone there's no stopping them. His gold one of the moments of the games. Only beaten by the Hockey girls |
|
By:
completely agree on Skelton unlike most others this will be his last chance to win and his backstory, Big Star and all the oldies/posh people/ horse lovers voting for him with a split vote for everyone else will allow him to ride up the middle.

Huge buyer of Murray in the market. I managed to lay £1k that I'd backed higher up - for info - useful to know.
|
|
By:
Farah looks reasonable value - all bookies around 3.5

murray's next match is a lot tougher than the odds suggest.
if you discount there 1st 3 meetings where murray won 2-0 each time and dimi was younger and not as experienced. the H2H reads like this: 3 wins each 9 sets won each 97 games won for dimi, 96 games won for murray dimi will feel no pressure as he smashed murray 3-0 at wimbledon in 2014 of the 9 sets dimi has lost, he has always managed at least 3 games..often only getting broken once dimi has just got a new coach within the last two months, which has helped him a lot mentally murray struggled a fair bit last round dimitrov 6/1 to win and 20/21 to win a set, appears to be massive value |

winning the us open or not won't make the slightest difference. he's already won the 2 most important titles this year as far as the GBP are concerned
only real negative against him is do the GBP wanna keep voting for the same person every year even if he is the obviously the deserving winner ? |

anyone interested in my tennis tip above, should read this
Daniel will know murrays weaknesses inside out . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Vallverdu |

Just a bit of positioning - bought back a lot of that lay now.

Someone keeps backing MO down to 3.8 which is quite rewarding as well ;-)
