When would the WC get notified they have been selected? Would have thought it would be virtually immediately so their routine could be arranged/confirmed .Clegg keeps retweeting support for him,and Bailey said he hadn't been told today.

I imagine they have been told

That's what I would have thought.....I'm wondering if Clegg hasn't made it.

I've written this before, but imv for many people tweeting for an act to win/like is tantamount to voting. ie they are registering their approval, and it's 'public' too. I feel this has played a part with voting numbers falling off a cliff in reality shows.

Maybe but less voters doesn't mean twitter is less accurate? Demographics and other things can make twitter inaccurate (but it's still useful).

Twitter is most useful for measuring apathy/negativity rather than likes/positivity...apart from tracking the MEMs which is a bit of a black art.

So it's the 40 pluses **** likely to still register a phone vote and not tweet etc Point being an act that appeals to the younger groups of the population say 1D is going to get a huge amount of interest on social media but really struggle on the phone votes. It's not linear.

There is some kind of phone package and not sure how much difference that makes....if MEMs are moist enough they won't begrudge a couple of quid.

What about YouTube views. Most people I know are over 40 and they all use youtube. (I think it will eventually surpass live TV).

Personally I think yt is next to useless in regard to trying to gauge future voting intentions.

Out of curiosity can anyone name a winner who's done the same routine in the final as their initial audition?

I can think of 3 hot favourites who've done it and lost, Boyle, Johnathon & Charlotte, and Signature (ish), but none who've done it and won.

Only ask since it must be likely that B&M do their initial song in the final, and can imagine it falling a bit flat second time round. It leaves you wide open to be overtaken by a spectacular on-the-night performance by another act imo, which happened in all 3 cases above.

Potts did

Interesting point. Attraction's final was a lot worse than their audition, I wonder if they'd have won by a bigger margin if they repeated. The dog the year before I can't remember but it couldn't have been that different to what she'd done before.

Spellbounds was very similar and used the same music

Just looking back at Potts audition - 124,000,000 views. It was before Simon Cowell chipmunked his face. He looks almost human.

The Potts final Cowell gives Potts the best pimping speech after the performance I've heard. He'd have probably won anyway.

Signature were not favourites.  Faryl was odds on, Escala were 2nd faves.  Signature were 3rd or 4th faves.  George Sampson, the winner, was fifth fave.

At crazy odds Lettice might fit thd bill. National Treasure status beckons.

Lettice reminds me of Caroline from BB, I'm surprised she is not universally hated, a completely inbred faker

I fail to see how Lettice can improve on wht she's done.

I find her act hyped up dullness. Her niche vote will be totally swamped in the final

Darcy doing a trick involving Amanda and or/Alesha, could be a winning moment. Not GB's idea obviously

She probably won't win but will do better than some at shorter odds. There is nothing fake about her and MEMs seem to like her even though most men think she is sex on legs. Will be a very interesting cbb housemate this year.

I think Lettice will finish approx 5th or 6th.Difficult to make a case for her finishing Top 3,so I don't see any way of backing her......she'll beat Yanis though Silly

@Ed_StarOnSunday: BGT: Impressionist Jon Clegg has been picked as the wildcard act for Saturday's final, according to The Sun

Morning campers.  Don't let anyone put you off your Lettice punt GB although I think she'll need close to a miracle.  Still a fiver available to nick laying Light Balance for anyone who's exposure limit won't be affected.  Always the minutest chance someone will pull out allowing a 2nd wildcard I suppose.  One of the two dance acts will probably finish last imo, whichever one has the worst combined performance and draw.

Lettice has more than just a niche support base but I accept that it almost certainly won't be enough. On early damned by faint praise and so toast. Sometimes its just nice to look at a huge green cheaply bought and dream.

Outstanding performances on the night such as those by Diversity and Steve Hewlett could always change things significantly, although I don't really see it in this field.  We do know some singing acts will be ramped to the rafters, so for something to beat that it's got be something special.  I think Darcy ew is the alternative to the faves.  He won't be pimped and it would mean 2 foreign winners in a row, but being foreign for a magician probably adds to the mystique.  He's a class act, and with so many singers, and unless his act on the night is carp, I think at worst he's going to be knocking on the door of the top 3.  Should BAM's vote not materialise, this could be won by a very low percentage.

Yes Clyde that is what I have been saying re a low % winning in a close year.....even sub 20% is possible hence some hope for the likes of Lettice....Danny Boy...tears   whoknows?

Rat Pack 18%
Collabro 18%
BAM 16%
Lucy 14%
Darcy 10%
Yanis 8%
Clegg 9%
James 8%
Paddy 7%
Lettice ?

That's over 100%
