Sampson was 14 when he won. And, to me at least, an immature, innocent boyish-looking 14 year old. Stroke of genius involving `Singing in the Rain`, keeping older voters engaged with the routine.

I thought he was as annoying as most of the singing kids, but that's probably because I only had him as a small winner
Signature were a very big winner & Andrew Johnson a massive winner

The last time I noticed, Darcy was about 12. When did the shortening happen?

Yep JOT, Alesha the most value but things might change on the night. 13-2 at betfred, 2-1 with other firms.

This semi final lineup is a bit uninspiring.

If the second and third favs are uninspiring go and find the value

Younger women may vote for Micky because he reminds them of Olly and Grans will like his singing as well.

Not sure if i should be flattered or consider myself an argumentative nob head

It`s complimentary. You give the impression that you recognise drivel being spouted, and I knew Spellbound were the weakest part of my case.

from tmix/The Sun - apols if this has been posted already, haven't been around to keep up with the show threads and missed Tuesday's show entirely.

Girl group SweetChix and their supportive family have blamed show bosses for their axe.

The Essex girlband were voted out of the competition in Tuesday night’s semi-final after losing out in the public poll.

During the live show, Simon Cowell had criticised pretty much everything about the girl’s performance from their styling to their song choice and choreography.

And it led to a show after during the results between Simon and the mum of one of the five singers, who are aged 14 to 16.

According to The Sun newspaper, she stood up and complained to Simon: “They were told what to wear by your production team, Simon!

“They didn’t like the outfits.”

She claimed: “And they didn’t want to do that song either. They lost their confidence.”

The tabloid says that after failing to placate the mum, he quipped to her: “That’s showbiz!”

Cowell is an idiot and Lettuce would be single figures in a level playing field.....which it won't be....which is why Cowell is an idiot.... BAM are Ronan MkII....all twitter sound and fury signifying nothing.

Not just twitter George, they're also winning the DS News and TM polls.

BTW I've only just caught up with this BGT, no bets yet but I will watch the final.

I'd expect Collabro to be understated and BAM overstated in those polls too Henry. So for me they're encouraging.
For my Collabro bet. Not so much for James :(

I have them well behind Henry make of it what you will.....the last semi with Jack Pack beating Paddy was a license to print money but I got cold feet unfortunately.

I also give Collabro a better chance.

One advantage BAM has though, with the back story rubbish and the fact that there are only two of them, is that they can appeal as individuals better than a more bland 4 member band.

When: 02 Jun 14 17:51
I have had Jack Pack ahead of Collabro throughout.  Surprising given the more "emotional" aspect of Bring Him Home.  Bit wary as one of the rat pack could be charged with wife beating before the final. Probably bollox but who knows. I did think that 2 x 4somes could cancel each other out for the MEM and casuals vote leaving it an open goal for BAM but 25% can win this.....still could pan out for BAM but for now I will let it ride. Could be another Ronan v Jai in the final with BAM going odds on after twitter and Cowell ramping but getting turned over.....interesting.

Don`t know, but 5/2 Collabro to perform last seems decent value.
