it seems the possibility of  jack pack and collabro splitting votes leaves a ath for bam , but pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeasedont those soppy little twats win.no no no , not  a rapper(is that meant to be a talent?) and his tone deaf mate.if that's the best talent we have to offer it looks like a pretty unntertaining future ahead of us.natureally the magician is the best act by a country mile but   magic acts don't win, (not the end of the world for him as he will end up doing big shows in vegas )lets hope sanity returns and bam come nowhere(but I fear the worst)

Bgt official facebook page has posted a pic suggesting any of the acts from the semis could be the wildcard

The #BGTwildcard has been decided.

With Walliams being the 1st to tweet, it could well be his choice and Clegg

Be very surprised if the wildcard isn't Jon Clegg.  Not only is he clearly the public choice, the show as a spectacle is much better viewing with that sort of variety.

Light Balance would provide variety too and could make some money which a bit more exposure could help with. Clegg has no future outside Butlins and has already been rejected by the show.

Saying that however, Clegg has to be one of the few wc possibilities.

OK now I've seen both acts probably Clegg has the best chance Grin

(Personally I find him abysmal).

Did anybody make a note (even if just a rough mental note) of facebook likes? Apart from the last two semis they seem to have scrolled off the timeline. It's a pity Danza is no longer here.

Bars and Melody    65,501
Jack Pack    18,433
Paddy & Nico    15,094
Lettice     14,562

(Yes I know fb is just one not very good metric).

Great thanks Bear.

Yes we can't sniff at BAM's popularity.

Could they break the two trends of kids and rappers doing badly?

Ironically because it’s the two combined. Because they’re little kids you don’t think of muggers and they don’t have the dodgy lyrics that most rap has. And because they’ve “been through so much” (in the pantomime narrative) it gives them personality and character above their years.

BAM are a bit of an enigma p1ssing up on all the usual indicators yet I have them surprisingly marmite 20 v 80.....you might be right with that wide eyed innocence making them different than other brats...twitter on the night will be interesting to see if the MEMs are supporting them...if so game over.

.....I have been laying them a bit and have a £400 red but history tells me they will probably trade odds on in the final with a late slot and Cowell pimping.

Clegg may have been rubber-stamped for the WC spot all along. The slight doubt for his backers is that he was never meant to go through via the normal channels, Darcy penciled in for that judges' choice slot. The only act I thought the producers might have put through if they had the chance was Light Balance. Innova were never meant to make the top 3 so it should have been a choice between Lettuce and Light Balance. The thing about Clegg is that he has to find new material for the final as well. The semi was fairly pants already bar the Ant & Dec section. He is still an odds-on shot, but there's a case for LB imo.

It's such a shame YT views aren't broken down by age any more. Because I think their 29 million views, more than all the rest combined, are largely MEMs.

It's assumed their YT twitter FB showing is the youth, like eg 1D. But 1D were 16 year olds. I would have thought that a short for his age 13 year isn't so appealing to teenage girls.

"twitter on the night will be interesting to see if the MEMs are supporting them"

Twitter doesn't show MEMs any more does in George? Unless you look at the photo of each tweet, for which there is no time. It's all yoof nowadays.

All the MEM pictures were for Jack Pack v Paddy Henry.....about 10 but enough for me.  Mostly kids for Paddy. Confirmed what I was seeing and as above should have had more bottle and piled in.  I reckon one MEM is worth 10 "I have voted for them 100 times" kids.

You mean "mostly kids for BAM"? But there might have been a lot of MEMs too for BAM? Problem is they're all MEM friendly.

FB has pictures in the comments. We should check that out.

I've written this before, but imv for many people tweeting for an act to win/like is tantamount to voting. ie they are registering their approval, and it's 'public' too. I feel this has played a part with voting numbers falling off a cliff in reality shows.

No mostly kids for Paddy. Paddy would have won going by twitter but its quality support you need not quantity. But yes BAMS has overhelming kids support.  When have kids ever got kids over the line? Always a first time I guess.

AFAIK the 3 acts with the biggest twitter following in this years BGT are...

BAM.    136K
James    63K
Bailey.   53K

Seems to confirm the vast majority of twitter support is coming from very young females I'd have thought.
