and we've got golden buzzers this year so a judge can buzz the golden buzzer and immediately put an act through with no further negotiation, i believe.

That's a good idea. So they can all pretend to be looking for serious talent but every now and then one of them puts through and oddball controversy act (an "infuriates" Simon).

Last year it was the "Special Lighting" on the judges to make them all look more attractive and this year Gold buzzers. Simon cowell has turned into a real Mr American. He'll be giving his baby botox before it can say Dadda.

I've seen this woman on stacks of things btw - This Morning amongst others. Salsa dancing OAP Paddy Jones has already been tipped to win Britain’s Got Talent 2014. The 79-year-old was chosen as Amanda Holden’s golden buzzer act during this year’s auditions meaning she’s already made it through to the live shows. Paddy wowed the judges on just the second day of auditions in Birmingham earlier this year as she was swung around by dance partner Nico Espinosa, 40, in a nimble routine. Although Simon Cowell, being Simon, did originally buzz the pair just seconds into their audition. According to The Sun newspaper, Paddy and Nico have previously won £80,000 after coming top in Spain’s version of BGT. Now More Talent host Stephen Mulhern reckons they’re set to conquer Britain next. “It took your breath away. She’s so fit like a gymnast, yet she’s nearly 80,” he told the newspaper. “I think she could win it.” Earlier this week a confident Amanda said of Paddy: “I think my Golden Buzzer choice is going to definitely finish in the top three.” She joked: “And if it wins I said to Simon, does that mean I win a holiday or something?” Found in the centre of the judges’ desk, the golden buzzer is a new twist on this year’s audition show which, when pressed, will send the act on stage straight through to the live shows. However the button can only be used once by each judge throughout the whole of the auditions. |

Here’s a first look at some of the acts set to grace our screens on Britain’s Got Talent this year. The show returns this Saturday night on ITV and everything from line dancers to magicians are set to feature. The acts include 11 year old Edward, an 11th generation of his family circus where he started aged 7 as Europe’s youngest ring master. Edwards’s knife throwing act appealed to Simon’s renowned love of danger and tempted him up onto the stage leaving the other judges on the edge of their seats. There is also La Voix and her Gay Big Band who are made up of a 17 piece jazz band from all over London. Countrified are a line dancing group made up of 18 members from all over the UK. They have been together for five years and now they want to share the country dancing tradition with Britain. Their infectious performance got all the judges smiling, but was it enough to take them all the way? Then we meet Darcy, a 26 year old magician from Canada. He began dabbling in magic after his father showed him a card trick at 10 years old leaving him amazed. Finally in this sneak preview is Julia who bought her beloved rescue dog Wolfred to show the judges his hidden vocal talents as he sang the Captain Pugwash theme tune. Can't wait ![]() |
