i rather hoped the problem with the vocals was just bad mixing
but yeah it needs work |
By:
I will be laying for top 10 and beyond if can get decent prices.

Molly put the kettle on(better off in the kitchen than on a stage)...yet another absolute no hoper from UK

WHAT THE HELL ARE THE BBC DOING...EVERY YEAR THEY WASTE LICENSE PAYERS MONEY ON ABSOLUTE DIRGE !
By:
lol it's not that bad. Certainly better than anything we've sent for a good few years.
By:
It has a slight feel of the Katrina and the waves song. I thought that was awful though
By:
it was quite decent, if they get the vocals turned up to match the drums
By:
"lol it's not that bad. Certainly better than anything we've sent for a good few years."
Agree, and hopefully it will attract backers to pile on in May. |
By:
"molly just been on bbc with our entry m but shirley ukraine is 1.01"

By:

The BBC pays millions to the ESC every year and then doesn't take it seriously. Not their money is it? It's yours.
By:
Not listened to Ukraine yet but took the 25s on here today. Who knows what the dynamic of all this preamble to World War III will be.
By:
There are people online saying this song could win for the UK
It's one of the worst songs I have ever heard! |
By:
So are all the other countries entries so far
![]() |
By:
You need to put the UK entry in context with what we have heard so far this year. It is one of the better entries which is a sad reflecion on the paucity of quality around. Decent chorus but something lacking overall imho.
By:
I'm telling you, Germany are strong this year. I think all of their potential representatives are decent - get on early - what we have heard so far has been dross....
By:
maybe 'power to the people' could be a relevant lyric come May that people will identify with if the Ukraine/Russia crisis is sorted
By:
BBC 3 getting shafted...this probably means NO semi-finals broadcast.
By:
Will probably be on the red button
By:
There is always the internet to watch the semi's on to fall back on.
By:
Fig will have a link to watch semi's

I'm just listening to our entry for the first time.
They look and sound good but the song doesn't get going. This won't win. Disappointed ![]() |
By:
Don't care if it comes last so long as I win

By:

Having just listened to them all, my personal favourite is Lithuania but the market not keen.
Albania has potential for another top 10 and maybe Macedonia too Italy is a bit of a rip off but stood out |
By:
Thanks for the list, useful.
How presentation makes a difference: when I clicked on your Lithuania link I liked it – music only. The link I originally used: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAoAS4-942A&sns=em I didn’t like it. Must be because of the rubbish clothes and rubbish dancing. Poland have decided to make a porn video. Which is a good development. |

Watching Sweden its very calculatingly generic; straight lift from Wrecking Ball with a twist of a slowed down Popular all done in high Celine Dion style. Ultimately leaves it lacking in self identity. On the plus side it did ok stats wise re the pv and jury vote but got there by the skin of its teeth with Germany giving it ziltch which was odd.....or suspicious?
By:
Giving busy doin nothin zero I meant.
By:
Germany gave Ace Wilder zero, George; it gave 'Undo' 10pts. Personally, delighted the Germans shared my opinion of Ace Wider's song
I'd say that was suspicious as was all the jury scores, as was the ultimate televote edging it Sanna's way. My conclusion is, SVT didn't want Ace to win as it was a potential ESC winner & it doesn't fancy hosting again so soon. The betting on here also suggested some insiders knew with Ace offered at bigger prices than she should have been after winning the jury vote & ahead of the televote reveal. |

Talking of Germany their national final next Thursday (?) looks infinitely more interesting than Swedens. In running market? Assume there will be a link?
