At 1st look the thing that jumps out is that the Italian jury didn't rate the Netherlands.
It ended up with 1pt in the semi and bloody Spain must have beaten it by a long way in the final. Italy didn't give The Netherlands anything and gave 2pts ![]() |
|
By:
Spain 2pts*
|

By:
The Italian jury clearly didn't rate Romania either. Top of the public vote, but ended up with 1pt

A very odd story Hems.
Fook knows how the cheating Azeri's are still in the contest |
|
By:
They jailed people for voting for Armenia one year.
|
|

Just been reading up on that, plus reports of other discrepancies involving Azerbaijan.Makes our RTV shenanigans look quite mundane by comparison .

By:
Plenty of stories in the past about how they've paid people in various countries to vote for them and now video evidence.
It's about time TPTB chucked them out |

Read a post on one of the sites about how a Moldovan jury member was quoted as saying she didn't like the Romanian song, put gave it top marks anyway

Going back the Italian vote. The jury clearly liked Norway

Yes, I read that too Hems

Norway from 12th in the public vote to 3rd in the combined score

I'll leave you to your analysis Fig....I've come to the conclusion the reason I done my gonads was because it was corrupt, rather than a lack of judgement from myself

Meanwhile, in other news, Mark Simpkin (aka Mr.Tricia Penrose) has been sighted in Baku. Again.

me too Hems.I wonder if Anouk's unwillingness to suck up to the various Eurovision bigwigs cost her with the juries |

Tim.I think he was behind Ukraine doing so well ![]() |

Russia didn't get anything from Italy despite being 5th in their pv.

By:
How the feck did Italy give 25% more to Ukraine than Moldova in the semi but the same in the final?
|
|
By:
They came to their senses and realised it was cr@p
![]() |
|
By:
With my conspiracy hat on. A smaller total vote in the semi would be easier to fix

Thank feck we have non manipulative Cowell productions we can bet on with confidence as to their probity.
|
|
By:
TBF the manipulation is all out in the open with Cowell. I don't think he'd ever try to fix phone votes

Denmark from 6th to top thanks to the Italian jury.
It will be interesting to see if the other juries show a similar pattern. Strong support for Denmark & Norway. Less than expected for The Netherlands..and not keen on Russia either |

Surprisingly large number of phone-vote scandals for Cowell in America.

Not really any genuine scandals. Mostly just internet fans kicking up a fuss when their favourite is voted off.

Bl00dy juries - without them I'd have stormed in with my Romania bets.

No smoking gun in CowelI`s hand, but I liked this one
In the top thirteen in season 8, the expected phone number for finalist Alexis Grace, IDOLS-13, was not owned by American Idol, but by a company called Intimate Encounters, who used it as a sex line. In May 2009, following allegations in the media of an American Idol texting scandal dubbed "Textgate", one of American Idol's corporate sponsors AT&T, admitted providing free mobile phones and texting services for fans of Kris Allen at parties organized on the night of the program's final episode.[24] Company representatives also provided Allen's supporters with lessons in how to send "power texts" which send ten or more votes with the touch of a single button. Bobby Kierna, one of the 2,000 guests who attended just one of the events, told reporters that she had voted for Allen 10,840 times.[25] AT&T denied attempting to "fix" the contest and apologized, saying that employees had been "caught up in their enthusiasm" and promised that they will in future "celebrate the competition, not individual contestants".[ So, AI`s corporate sponsor arranges parties (plural) of 2,000 people, each voting up to 10,000 times, for the sponsors` preferred contestant. That`s potentially 20,000,000 votes. PER PARTY!!! This explains how the best contestant ever, Adam Lambert, didn`t win. But it`s all OK, as they said `sorry` after being caught. |

With Romania receiving 4pts they must have done well in the televote again
|
|
By:
So almost 1/4 (25%!) voted for Romania in Italy but they only got 1 point?!
I didnt rate Romania at all but it seems that people liked the dracula, like they liked Lordi some years ago, maybe it could go to win the whole thing? That means also that Lordi had no chance if there was juries voting also. Well done to the organisers and their new count-systems, it is now worse than ever before. |

By:
How is it possible for Holland to be voted 5th in the semi by the Swedish jury, yet 2nd in the final
So Belgium Moldova and Denmark overtaken by the same performance. |

Maybe they came to their senses

Anyone got any more individual country stats? Very interesting reading the Italian stuff.

What sort of stats are you after honest?
Only Italy & Sweden have released any sort of voting stats this year. For historical stats try http://www.kolumbus.fi/jarpen/ ...under the Analysis tab |

..oh and Azerbaijan, where iirc Ukraine received over 50% of the vote in another country that has very few televotes

Eurovision Gets Over 3.5 Million Tweets Across Europe
Saturday’s Eurovision final saw over 900,000 people post 3,700,000 tweets related to the competition across Europe. Tweets peaked at 46,000 per minute just after 9.00pm during Romania’s entry, while the second largest peak came during Greece’s entry, which saw 39,400 tweets posted in a minute. There were 113,000 tweets mentioning the BBC broadcast, while 85,000 mentioned BBC Eurovision host Graham Norton. Due to the high volume of tweets being posted across Europe in a mix of languages we tracked Eurovision as an event rather than a UK specific broadcast, which meant it did not feature in our top ten leaderboard |
