Great to see you back here, Sunshine - what are your thoughts this year, other than thinking Denmark will not win?
By:
if u like Denmark then you must like the UK and San Marino. Denmark simply cannot win so it is time to act accordingly.
By:
Hello Johnny. I hope that you are ok. My thoughts at present are to lay Denmark massive but as regards finding the winner, I have not yet made a decision.
By:
My decision generally counts for nothing anyway as you know Johnny, so you watch Denmark hose up!!!!!!!
By:
What about Israel this year, Sunshine? I think it's a very strong ballad.
By:
Yes - Johnny Israel is a pleasant enough ballad. I have fallen down every year since my Russia triumph years ago so I am taking it very easy this year - Israel is definitely not in my betting plans my friend - boobs showing too much and that dress does her no justice whatsoever.A very classy dresser is what you want generally.
By:
Hopefully, they will come up with a dress that is a bit classier & covers her up in Malmo

Saslokk is a real con merchant - do not listen to him please!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have the Eurovision vision that I used to have but surely any member of the jury or public with half a brain would notice that she is trying to copy Rybak with that little instrument. No no no for me.

Don't really get involved in Euro except for a bet on the night, just listerned to Denmark and the Netherlands and wasn't impressed with Denmark but LOVE the Netherlands, think she has a lovely voice and have had my first bet

By:
PS also really like the song.
By:
Yeah something to cheer Europe up in these depressed times.
By:
Netherlands drifting badly whereby Denmark seems to be strengthening their position at the head of the market.Money can talk my friend. Just look at the amount for Denmark compared to any of the other countries
By:
ESC market can also get it badly wrong. Norway's 'Haba, haba', France's 'Sognu'…
By:
I fell for France's Sognu - a strange song by ESC standards that was heavily backed and flopped. I believe that value could actually lie with Romania and possibly the Germans with the likeable Cascada.
By:
Cascada is a real natural and a monster lady on the Dance scene all over Europe and should accrue lots and lots of younger peoples' votes.
By:
Any voters between 12 and around 40ish will love Cascada since they are so familiar with her phenomenal hits during the past 15 years or so.
By:
It's a very poor song by their standard though.
As for Denmark, it feels like Italy last year again. The female singer, whatever her name was, was supposedly a hugely charismatic and engaging performer. I could never see it. I feel the same about the Danish girl this year. She looks like a psycho to me and don't find her performance engaging at all |

Montenegro vid has come to the attention of The Sun

Denmark is a dangerous country to oppose.I personally do not like the song but it may win judged on all the good vibes
By:
Denmark won't win.
By:
Denmark may win because the whole world has backed it. It is strong and powerful and should win.

Hey fll, what's your view on Italy this year? I wouldn't normally be bothered by him at all but realized he passed 10 mil hits on youtube... |
By:
Yes Italy is a nation with a decent record in these types of vents and looks set to run a big race - in the Grand National.

Sunshine as crazy as ever
![]() I have Italy onside bokicar. I hadn't noticed the number of youtube views. Very impressive. The juries have shown very good support for Italy the last which is another positive and I see them liking this too. With a plethora of female singers, being a good looking male also helps his chances. The same goes for the likes of Sweden and Ireland...and ofc my favourite song this year by miles, Lithuania ![]() |

L'essenziale has been by some distance the top of all ESC songs in the Euro Airplay top 200 list. Has been in the 80's or so for the last 5 weeks. Glorious and You next closest, have peaked at 116 and 111 and been in chart for last 4 and 3 weeks respectively

From memory I think around half those youtube hits were from post Sanremo up to ESC declaration, still pretty impressive though

Cheers for that Dicky. No sign of the 2/1 favourite?

nope.. missing completely. Second favorite puts in a brief early appearance in the sales figures from last 6 weeks (from http://www.charly1300.com/eurodigital.htm)

Looking at some of the actual country charts I can't see any esc songs but I may have missed them. Did you do this last year and if so did it help? I think Loreen was doing well in the charts iirc.
