As for Serbia. Douze points from Montenegro looks a given and fairly likely from Slovenia, Austria and Croatia

Yep, Serbia's clear top on my figures. Romania is hilarious & from the pimp slot this could well enable it to qualify.

Germany not actually much of a loss for Serbia. I was going on the diaspora numbers. France a bigger loss.
Sweden actually very good and only 1 year to go on but Italy gave them 6pts last year. They can also expect decent points from Netherlands, Russia and maybe Ukraine

Not checked but iirc Serbia nearly always punches above its weight.

Going by latest top 10s on youtube there is not a lot between most of the top 15 (14% to 4%)and the western countries dominate with 12 out of the 15.

Not really surprising that Western Europe dominates youtube stats and polls.

I'm starting to like Serbia Laugh It's better than last years rubbish.

I'm seeing it regularly in the top 10 in th final so to qualify has to be value. No 28400.

LOL Yes. I hate players like you. You are the type of player who calls a reraise pre flop and beat my aces with 74 suited, with a flush , 2 pair or 3 of a kind

I like this definition from the urban dictionary -  Crack is something that is sold by both drug dealers and prostitutes. The only difference is that a prostitute can wash her crack and sell it again.

I see that Denmark is now 3.05 to back and 3.25 to lay, at this rate the price will be odds on contest week.CrazySurprised

£178 matched on Ukraine to win semi 1 between 1.67 & 1.01 Confused Someone must have mistaken it for the 'to qualify' market. It has paid this year for those shrewd enough to leave lay money up at silly short prices in the ESC win markets.

1.01 to qualify? Pressed back instead of lay shirley? A simple mistake any idiot could have made.....done it myself....whilst p1ssed is my excuse though.

Going by last matched Denmark a shorter price to win the ESC than the semi.  I think I understand why though.

My 50 cents this year? Not as certain as last year when I declared Sweden to win by a huge margin months ahead of the competition. However, imo, the competition is a lot weaker this year and therefor Denmark stands a giant chance of winning this. I was extremely surprised to see odds around 4,20 a few weeks ago, and then someone decided it was a good option of taking it all the way up to 5,30 and upwards.
Now the odds is where it should be for now imo. Will it go down more? Since there is not one main contender, but more like 6-7 "maybes", I think it will drop down below 3 in a not too long time.
More importantly, will it win?
If it gets a "2nd half" starting number in the final, I would be extremely surprised if it does not win.

Main contenders? Ukraine or Georgia for me. Though they are very dependent on the perfect draw for the final. Denmark is not.

Good luck guys with your betting.

We've found a Denmark backer :)

On a serious note, I can see the logic that in a weak year it can win but even you say it's nothing special.

For me it borrows too much from previous winners. There's plenty of Loreen there in terms of the performance and elements of Fairytale in the s song. The problem is it's a pale imitation of both and the juries could well punish it for this. They tend to like to go for something different every year and don't like poor copies of previous winners.
Estonia the year after Lena springs to minds. Attractive female singer, singing an upbeat fun song. The fansites all liked it but it flopped badly.
I can see the same happening with Denmark this year.

I wish I could find the "main rival" to Denmark, but this year it really is not that simple. You can raise a warning for these nations:
Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Netherlands, Norway, Belarus, Italy and even Sweden for that matter.
It just is no other song with the potential of great jury and great tele-voting points. I for sure can't see that and I have tried hard, trust me.
Ukraine is perhaps the main threat, but I can also see it even miss the Top 5, should the live performance not be very good.
I personally think this "Rybak/Loreen" talk is extremely overrated. I don't think of the violin, when the Danish guys are drumming. I have never thought of Loreen once, listening to Denmark or seeing it. Though I can understand why some people do........

At the end of the day: It is an extremely weak year. Denmark might not get the most jury points (sure it won't) , but I am absolutely sure it will get decent jury points. After all, it is an extremely weak year (sorry for repeating myself, but this is VERY important imo to try to find the winner)
Tele-votes? I am absolutely sure that Denmark will finish highest up there. She has charisma, sings really good and the song is one of those that you will like from the first time you hear it.
Not to mention that Denmark probably will get 40-48p from Scandinavia, around 20-25p from Baltics and how about 14-20 from UK/Ireland. Then we got Germany, Austria and we can continue.....
Also it has something that tends to be liked by Balkans in it and I would be surprised if not the Eastern Europe people will like it rather a lot too.

So, who can match this? Probably none. As in zero. As in game over. As in Copenhagen 2014.

However, with a bad draw in the final versus a stunning performance by let's say Ukraine or Georgia with Number 22-25 in the final....we might have a game on hand.

Surely though, with it's weakest year in a long time, Denmark totally stands out.

Anyway, it's betting, nothing is written in stone and with everyone having the same opinion as me, Denmark would already be down under Evs :) .

Good luckExcited
