Now Norway, which has mysteriously been drifting like a barge on the Outright. Can Tooji sing well enough live? The answer is a unanimous yes. Not only that but the staging already looks the business. There is a great start with a backflipping dancer, then Tooji enters wearing his hoodie (which he eventually pulls down), walks towards the camera, stares down the lens and away we go. He is joined on stage by 4 dancers and he has a backing singer for assistance. This tune gets my toe tapping straight away which is a rare occurrence these days. The production is very slick but that is not a negative. They are well drilled with their choreo, Tooji sounds excellent throughout and owns the stage. This is impressive. Make no mistake, with a late draw in the final this is a contender. |

the best rehearsal till now is by far the norwegian one....very solid.....the 34 for backing him is really high....loreen was cool not pushed herself at all....eleftheria had not special live but not bad too...and she knows how to move...;) ivi after 2:30 was so tired, she has a nice body but doesnt know how to work it...waiting for the rest....

Finally just got round to seeing Norway's vid and all I can say is 'YES'
Very good and for my money it was quite clear that he was happy to stay in the first two gears - plenty more to come from the lad. You may recall last year Eric had what appeared to be a train wreck 1st rehearsal but it only took a little analysis to see that he was more interested in positioning himself right for the choreography and more concerned that the backing vocals were right rather than his own effort. Struck me in the early part of the performance that Tooji and dancers were concentrating on positioning. By the time he reaches the first chorus, everyone on stage and in position and we are underway. No way this doesn't trade in the teens at some point and could well reach single figures depending on order of results on Final night. Remember - Denmark traded at EVS for a minute or so in 2010 following the first two votes that night. YOu don't necessarily need to back the winner to be a winner  |

Iceland was next and once again was impressive. Black gown for Greta, suit for Jonsi, excellent vocal performance and the backdrop will bring them to top 3 in the final. mark my words! Enthusiastic lot this, thats about 10 songs they have in the top 3 so far |

Feel a bit sorry for Greece she is decnt but not strong enough to carry the song, should have done the same as Sweden who now has 1 dancer 3 backing singers to help her carry the song, Greece should have 2 dancers and 3 backing. I laid 60 (having backed at 34
 ) and laid the 45 @8 top 4 for those who sill fancy it stan are 10/1 top 6 which is too big. |

Today friday we have the 2nd rehearsal of what i call "the sh!t semi"...an absolutey monstrous ear-bleeding collection of eurovision entries you're ever likely to see and hear.
i'm taking today off and i shall look forward to "the big 5" on saturday...i'm eagerly awaiting the appearance of Anggun for France and the price plunge that follows. |

I wish you good luck for France rehearsal, I'd like a plunge on Spain but whilst Sweden is this price I doubt anything much is going to happen unless its for them to drift on a bad one |

I think most of these are eclipsed by the early performers in this semi which just makes predicting the outcome that much harder
