and AKOE Scottish muppet who had France as certain winners after first rehearsal: Its much the same performance as we seen in Melodifestivalen. We also have 3 female backing
singers to bring in the extra vocal that was on the backing tape in Stockholm, I think it adds a nice
dimension to the original a bit more organic. There are lots of close up shots on camera and silouttes
with the lighting, I think it looks good on stage. Vocally it was ok as I think Loreen was holding back a bit
and learned later her throat was not so good today. The male dancer enters from under the platform
that Loreen performs on and the whole thing is very theatrical with a good energy between them both.
The snow effect come from above again but is also on the backdrop and looks very effective.
I still can see this having a big chance for Sweden this year.

I think the other guys, whose name escapes me, has always spoke the most sense and been the most objective on AKOE.
Plenty were wrong about France.

Guns 'n' Roses fans will like it. I'm not sure how many will be watching tho.

Could well qualify, but I think georgia showed last year that there's a limit to how well a genuine rock track can do.

Oh dear. I'm going to have to disagree again. Lithuania is embarasingly bad.
Tho the fanboys did appear to enjoy it at the recent concerts.

Estonia with a late draw in the final could be interesting

to be clear Norway isn't my favourite song Iceland or Romania take that depending on my mood. It is however the largest stake I have placed on any song so car crash would severely compromise my trading.
I think you know my reasons for backing it Cool

Vocal a little shakey. Especially in the verses. But not too bad.

Maybe a little more than shakey. He sings the chorus well, but the rest sounds very flat to my ears

I liked it but then I would. perfectly good rehearsal, good choreography, vocal more than adequate for this type of song. If you rated it beforehand no reason here to change your mind

Pheeew, nice to come on here and read this after the comments leading up to it were causingme concern.

This simply has to trade in the teens at some point.  Goes against all laws of Eurovision physics if it doesn't!!  Remember, Eric was around 30 in the betting as well at this stage last year.  Wink

AKOE female: Tooji sings Stay for Norway this year. You cannot help but notice the Eric Saade resemblence here both in looks and in style of dancing and song. It is certainly a lively little number and for me Tooji is a better vocalist that Eric particularly when he is dancing. Having wondered what they were going to do on the stage during the gap in the song, i was put out of my suspense with some nicely times pyrotechnics to fill the gap (which is now much shorter than the studio version). He has 4 dancers on stage with him also providing vocals and one backing singer. The routine is the same as the national final but i must say i quite liked it. His vocals were a little off at the beginning of the run through that i heard but he got it together and i enjoyed it. If there is going to be a shock non qualifier then it could be this but hopefully he will go through to the final.

So a good write up mainy positives then suggests a shock non qualifier wtf. Not a hope in hell of this not qualifying with this draw and performance

and Akoe Andrew: Norway on next and this was another much anticipated Rehearsal today.
Tooji is on stage with the hoody on again and the stage is filled with ground fog.
Two male , two female dancers and one male backing vocal accompany him.
His vocal was slightly ropey in the starting of the song but did improve.
There is a bit of pyro effect  at the break in the song. The dance moves are slick
but not too messy. This should qualify but if the vocals do not deliver on the night
it could be borderline.

muppets Silly

oikitimes - maybe they just like verything leaves :)

Persian Prince is now on stage: The performance is very influenced by white strobe lights, dark tones and as the performance fires up, strong orange and fiery colours that represent the story of his song in many ways and are very appropriate to the theme of the entire contest, “Light Your Fire”. The choreography is very impressive with very complex moves and a pretty cool backflip to start up the performance by one of the backing singers. The dancing is quite close with a mixture of fast and slow moves, as well as some easy moves in the bridge that are designed to be done by people at home. In addition to the great lighting effects there are som pyros including a smoke covered stage at the beginning of the song to add to the songs middle-eastern, mystical flavours.

Lithuania, not keen on the blindfold but quite a dramatic performance.  Wasn't keen before but comes across a lot better live.

Sounds very much like Could It Be Magic in places tho (a lot of places tbh).
