Saddo I’ve answered , everyone involved in taking these cases to court
And the lawyers and the judges .. that’s everyone without exception And as I have explained it should have taken only one case to go to court for the judge to say within less than an hour - case dismissed That’s an hour compared to 25 years and millions of pounds Now I’ve explained why on this thread and the other I don’t want to have to do so again |

My god it’s almost unbelievable
Someone is accused of stealing money , but they leave the ‘ evidence’ in the accounts on the computer And the dhead judges say you stole that money didn’t you and left evidence for all to see on the computer that meant you would have to repay it Good god almighty , the world has gone completely mad |

One lady postmistress kept pressing a button and the amount kept doubling and she stopped at about £22k.
I thought if she kept pressing it up to about a million pound. that would have proved there was a malfuntion on the system. As no post office in a little village could cash that amount. |

Adam Crozier was CEO apparently between 2003 and 2010.
Apparently the unfair prosecutions started 1999? Who was in charge say 1997 until 2003? |

Chief Executive John Roberts 1995 until 2002? I think that's right but there doesn't seem to be much info. This guy apparently introduced horizon under his term and prosecutions also started under his term. I would imagine he would know an awful lot if he is still around to answer questions?

If i was one of those postmasters and was offered
£750k and all the people at the top got away with it. Or £500k and Vennels and all those at the top who knew, were given 10 years in prison. I'd settle for the £500k. |

I would be slightly surprised if any of the Post Office team went to prison and very surprised if Vennels sees justice. Perhaps some of the investigators have lied under oath so could be sentenced? Not sure why Angela van den Bogerd has been kept out of the press since the ITV drama, she came across as worse than Paula Vennels. Is interesting what the public react to. Basically nothing when Panorama or newspapers ran stories of unfair convictions, very little when court awarded millions in damages or when convictions were overturned. A well made drama on ITV and this is the biggest story around, |

I've thought about that too Mexico. The scene which I think horrified the viewer the most, and exemplified the utter desperation of these people in the face of a savagely unsympathetic Post Office "help service", was when the shortfall was doubled in front of Jo's very eyes. I think this helplessness and the way the actress put across the iniquity of the " you will be expected to make up this shortfall" really chimed with people and convinced them of the innocence of the small person against the huge bully organisation. I think that meant a lot to people witnessing that scene, superbly acted and directed.

I have been following this story for many years. Thank God for this TV drama, which. I have not seen.
The Post Office and Fujitsu need to pay. I think victims should get one years salary of one of the CEO’s for each year they have suffered. The people at the top will no doubt walk away “ Scotch “ free ( as lfc might say! ). They are responsible for their dogs and awarded them bonus’s for convictions. It does not take a degree in the bleedin’ obvious to know something was wrong. I daresay the CPS will not be able to get enough evidence to secure a conviction. Time to blame the migrunts! |

Whispering death I would imagine given the CPS prosecuted a substantial amount of the sub postmasters under their own name you are probably correct unfortunately that there won't be enough evidence... and if there was I would bet the people involved have spent the last few years burying it!

The CPS didn’t prosecute many of the postmasters. They were mainly private prosecutions.

They did almost one hundred, they've destroyed the files on two thirds of them.

I would like to say we have our differ on here and possibly do not like each other very much but good to see we are United on this at least and the need for justice.
There are so many things we should be fighting for together rather than play the blame game. Justice and opportunity for all must be thing we can agree on. The Politicians gave let us down and we have let ourselves down by voting for them. I will not be voting Labour. I will probably spoil my vote. They need to know they do not have our vote. |

Fujitsu wont have to legally pay a penny
It was down to the Post Office to manage the contract with them which they failed to do I assume Fujitsu were paid in full for the implementation of Horizon which says that the Post Office were happy to pay with no retentions of money for non performance It will all come down to what was in the contract and contract law |

Surprised by the lack of reaction to the release of the secret recording of the 2013 meeting where Paula Vennels joined a call with Second Sight and being told about Fujitsu routinely amending data on the SPOs accounts and being advised to not give a categorical denial that it was possible just in case some "bloody whistleblower" surfaced. There is going to have to be some amendment to the execs squirming plan when the enquiry starts again next week

The explanation is they didn’t believe that remote access
explained the discrepancies and missing money .. and it didn’t Yes I know that’s not a complete excuse … but it does somewhat help us understand what happened |

 Ms Vennels is not a bad person , she was confused and not capable or intellectually capable of dealing with - or understanding the situation she found herself in . Don’t under any circumstances take upon yourself a job for which you are not qualified or more importantly have a natural facility No matter how much money it might pay ,, that’s a little life lesson right there .. |
