I thought I had read they intend to cut it by two or three degrees, could be wrong.

For that you'd have to actively remove greenhouse gases again, which might be the goal eventually one day a long way down the line, but not for now. CO2 stays up there a ton of years.
For now the target is to limit the emissions and with it the warming to about ~1.5 to ~2 degrees. |
|
By:
In the end the active removal will probably have to happen to even not exceed the set limit in warming though.

No the summer temperatures are back to normal levels the hoaxers will have to pack up a while.
They will then wait for the next flood, hot day, cold day or storm to talk up their narrative again. |

It's not about reacting to the weather you clown
The history of the hottest day in Britain 2019 38.7C reported at Cambridge Botanical Gardens, 25 July 2003 38.5C reported at Faversham, 10 August (disputed, 38.1 accepted) 1990 37.1C at Cheltenham, 3 August 1911 36.7C at Raunds and Canterbury, 9 August It took 80 years to get past 37c, then smashed that easily in a little over a decade. Now it's not only beaten the previous record but blown it to bits with a huge jump. But sure, those who are worried are hoaxers. |

Thats just temps theyve taken from places that have it set up, there was a field I ran across yesterday and it was easily over 45 trust me, the sun had been baking on it, it was in open space and surrounded by nothing and elevated to boot, yet they wont give you that as a record will they ffs no it will be a populated area so as to sell the fear That field is always the hottest point round here when it gets hot, it clears 40 every time if its a “heatwave” Today though... absolutely nothing from the media, its 15 here right now the windows has been shut ![]() ![]() ![]() So much for death everywhere and extreme eh |
|
By:
It wont hit that temp again fir the rest if summer, and if we’re being honest we’ll be lucky to see a hot 27 again
|
|
By:
wtf are you on about taking temperatures in fields. you cannot be serious

You poster some garbage yesterday about THEY won’t tell you if temps are measured in sun or shade. Reply was a link to Met office where THEY explained measured in shade, a Stevenson Screen. Now you post some nonsense about a field in the sun being hot. How was work today now it was cooler, or are you STILL looking for a job? |
|
By:
they measure temps in exactly the same way at hundreds of weather stations urban & rural.
did you think some bloke just wanders about with a thermometer |
|
By:
Its no good just using a weather station
You need to get out and about to possibly find the hottest temp |

I hope you're right guys otherwise we'll be forced to adapt, making air-conditioning the norm. Not a terrible thing but with rising energy prices, these things are not cheap to run, culminating in high bills all year round, freeze or melt
