Cinema's are air conditioned. You can stand in front of the freezer cabinets in Supermarkets or get in the car, park in shade and turn the AC on. Not rocket science.

I've opened up the windows of the shady side...quite a nice breeze Cool

arguably gone too soon but 35 -36 with a breeze is more appealing than a stuffy 33...

30.3 after cooking dinner so drowned myself under the tap to cool down. Still reading 38 here so will not be following suit brentford.

Quick off-topic question. Had dentist injection at around 11.30 but still numb... is that normal? It's usually 3-4 hours max.

well my not remotely qualified advice would be give till the morning at least and phone up if still not right...but I'm sure a lot of mine took rather longer than that (3-4 hours)

Ive had numbness for 6 hours before so dont worry until after that time frame

As for the weather... theyve closed all the schools and job centres around my way, so its basically climate lockdowns incoming Plain

My cousin was told on his journal universal credit that the job centre was shut and should be open tomorrow “when its cooler”

Theyve started the climate lockdowns

Theyll do this with floods as well, mark my words when we get a winter downpour theyll advice people to stay in their homes and schools, job centres, offices etc will shut for a good few days

They obviously think people are enough far gone for this now esp after the virus stuff.

I used to take 6 hours for dentist injection to wear off,
I guess it depends how much they pump in?

Scotland is experiencing its hottest day ever, after a temperature of 34.8C (94.6F) was recorded in the Borders.

The Met Office confirmed Charterhall had provisionally set the new record on Tuesday.

It surpasses the previous record of 32.9C recorded in Greycrook in the Borders on 9 August 2003.

Yhtl

They clearly dont care about the temps, this is about normalising climate lockdowns ie saying whe to stay home etc

Don't think you'll get too many buying into that one SS... not yet anyway. Would be interesting to see how they would nanny us in a '76 situation though.

Sont
What are you on about with your climate lockdown nonsense

Today was about things not working because of very hot weather. We don’t build houses with air con, we don’t build railways to cope with 40C temps. Other countries have both, in future maybe U.K. will have to?

There were no lockdowns.

Did you go out and do a day’s work today SS?

This isnt about the temps jts drip drip drip towards climate control

So now its advice on how to stay safe in a thunderstorm, next it will be downpours and lower temps like 28c etc, slowly getting people use to needing advice on everything

When: 19 Jul 22 20:05
Oh dear sont, could you not sign on for a tax payers handout?

Just spend a few hundred billion installing air con in all schools, replace every railway just because UK will get 5 days of 40C temp soon.

Meanwhile there isn’t a climate lockdown.

Sont it was hot weather which caused things to fk up today. There wasn’t a lockdown.

Sont do you understand the difference between climate and weather?
By:
SontaranStratagem
When: 19 Jul 22 20:06
They dont control the weather, they control the way people behave in it...

Thats been very crafty in a way, the sleight of hand

Don’t let the thunder storms prevent you from playing golf or fishing.

Just ignore the advice and do what you want.
