Careful who you think of as pro-Brexit.

Pro-Brexit does not always equate to anti-single market.

even Starmer is anti single market now

Read Labour's 5 point plan for fixing relations with the EU. They want a veterinary agreement. That's a single market for food and animals and a lot of drugs.
By:

The plan is:
1. Remove Boris
2. Do a weak deal on NI
3. Slowly realign with EU chaanging withdrawl agreement
4. Join Single Market
5. Join outer EU
6. Join full EU and Euro

We need a Tory leader who can cut them off between 1 and 2.

Else next election the public with have no choice on this as both Starmer and Tories will have same plan.

Being a member of the EU is not important. It's the single market which is the great prize.

Wallace still in the 100-200 odds range, maybe he will change his mind once everyone is on.

I bet hardly any of em would have dared stand for an election, the only way any of em stand even half a chance is to appeal to the tory party alone

Can hardly believe that two of today's top three in the betting can hold their positions.

Liz Truss has halved in price but still too big at 7.. Remember, they are pitching to the Conservative Party.
In a race to out-bitch rivals, she has a furlong start. Also, she put up Michael Gove after Sarah Vine kicked him out of doors. Gove is still a kingmaker.

“So divided is the party that at least two rival leadership campaign teams have passed the Labour Party a digital dossier containing a series of lurid allegations about their potential opponents.”

Astonishing— there’s not even honour between thieves here.

Zahawi looks an incredibly short price considering their is a serious investigation currently underway regarding HMRC. This has been known about by Boris, Patel and the Cabinet office amongst others for almost two years apparently. If you were an MP, would you support him?

I can see her folding like a pack of cards during any media interviews/debates. If she were to win, Starmer will crush her relentlessly at PM questions.

Assuming there is no dramatic change of rules, 18 votes are required to get past the first ballot (8 are required to initially stand). Looking at the candidates , so far, it appears to me that all of them, with the exception of Shapps, have a decent chance of making it past ballot one. In ballot two, 36 votes are required. That will be much tougher for many.

NEW: Jeremy Hunt says on BBC that Esther McVey will be his Deputy Prime Minister if he wins the leadership election.
By:
politicspunter
When: 10 Jul 22 09:30
As Esther McVey isn't on the Hunt list of MP supporters currently, you would assume he has a pool of support that he will drip feed in order to create the illusion of increasing support. A common tactic.

It’s political ammunition to Labour to always highlight how their options are diminishing; wasn’t wanted last time out, now the ‘best’ option.
By:

The 1922 will almost certainly tweak the rules.

Tomorrow is the 10th and they want it wrapped up by the 21st so they won't want more than 3 votes

It might be brutal but if you can't get 10% of MPs to nominate you why should you even be in the race?
