didn't notice I was green on Zawahi so just dumped that.

Can't see Frost or Raab having any hope but I don't want to be heading towards a thousand red on this for months and I had £1 on Raab to limit it.

Firstly - 'anyone but Hunt' - he's too smug and screwed young doctors a few years back and any coversion to the brexit ranks is too shallow. Not happy about some of Sunak's recent proposals tho looks between him, Truss, Mordaunt and Wallace, while Braverman and Baker - I wouldnt rule out at this stage - interesting times and I wonder if there are any other outsiders who might suddenly appear. I find it sad that the tory party has been totally manipulated into getting rid of Boris without thinking things through properly, by a mix of remainers; BBC, Sky and media outlets; probable Russian lobbying; and of course Cummings - all because of a cake party or two, carelessly dissmissing the current hyped up significance of drunken homosexual advances [most guys would just have told Pinscher him to FO] and Boris' inability to ever admit a mistake and the ridiculous mishandling of every scandal that has beset him. But generally he didn't do too badly in getting a few things done  - certainy heaps better than May or Cameron  [or Major for that matter]

Liz Truss is a dreadful public speaker and would be regularly destroyed at PM questions and in media appearances. Don't know anything about Wallace regards public speaking but Mordaunt has proven herself very talented in that department.

Yes.The hard brexit/ERG really pushing to get this. Baker isn't supporting him either obviously. You could get a loon, i'd expect Braverman to go shorter than 20/21 atm.

Yep, I think Braverman has an excellent chance of getting past the first ballot as long as the MP support required isn't set too high. After that, who knows, because there could be quite a few knocked out and she might be good transfer material.

Braverman spoke about the need to ‘deliver some proper tax cuts’ to deal with the cost of living. She talked about shrinking the size of the state to cut spending, dealing with the migrant Channel crossings, stopping foreign courts from interfering in our affairs and spreading the opportunities of Brexit. And finally, she talked of the need to deal with ‘all of this woke rubbish’.

As I stated yesterday, the next candidates will need to go much further right to even get a sniff of being PM

Forcing your price down to garner publicity clearly works,
but once you've got the publicity you will need to
have something to back it up.

Rishi has a slick video,.. Dunno if he's used
the back yourself on betfair tactic.

With others it's led to price differences on similar
but not identical markets....

One to watch for, as there's at least 3 different ones
to cover on here alone.

Next pm, next Tory leader, and will r s be next tory leader!

Not to mention make final 2 for tory run off..

Plus of course they'll have to do smeerkats, or hope
the arbers do their job...

The guy in London got huge publicity from his ramp,
but couldn't back it up with campaign to take
advantage of early position.

Braverman is likely seen as a trolly like
may and Johnson were.

If they rebel like may they are ditched or
if a wheel or 3 falls off they are ditched

I can see Braverman doing OK, if the rest of
the erg see her as way forward,... They can always
jump ship, if required.

It's quite fascinating

Rishi is taking a very Thatcherite stance on tax cuts; they need to be earned.

Financially Boris acted like Gordon Brown. Hosing people with free money. Everyone gets money off their Council Tax!! 5p of a litre of diesel. A phone call to Ukraine, there's another £100m gone. Absolutely out of control but dangerously, instead of people putting on a jumper and turning down their thermostats a lot of the public now expect the government to pay their gas bill.

Whether Rishi wins or not will be down to how Conservative MPs perceive his message goes down with the public. I suspect they want comforting fairy tales.

As chancellor Rishi was No.2. The PM is First Lord of the Treasury.

By December 2021 it was patently obvious to anyone with 3 brain cells that Johnson was not going to see out this parliament, He was already lying every time he appeared in public. It was just a matter of time.

Registering domain names to reserve them is standard practice for clued up public figures and companies.

If I was Rishi I would have tied up dozens. .co.uk, .com, .eu, biz, .tv, org etc etc

Not sure the party members will share that view if it goes to them and he is in the final two.

Appears snakey behaviour like his family's tax stuff.

Defo for a few.

Judging by his slick video I imagine Rishi has some very clever people putting together his campaign and the domain name business will be buried under a carpet of smiling photo ops and down to earth policy ideas. RishiIsSerious.com

Ages ago I mentioned this, but just to re-iterate. The 'spartans' and the new blue wallers will coalesce around a candidate. Unless there's a fit up job from the MPs, that should be enough to get them on the run off.

It looks like it will be between Braverman and Kemi to get the support of the bulk of spartans and new blue wallers.

The danger for everyone is that the MPs manage to manipulate a Hobson's choice to put in front of the members. Just like they did when May ended up winning by default.

I am sure Sunak won't exactly be crying at the thought that friends of the loon are not supporting him. Those who didn't call him out at any stage shouldn't even be putting up.

As for Fabricant, one of a few who could out loon Boris.

How many MPs are actually spartans?

As twitter shows a few people can make a lot of noise but when it comes to the ballot box they are insignificant.

Who knows where the majority of the liability lays, with the civil service or treasury, but Sunak presided over a department that haemorrhaged tens of billions of fraud to the cost of the UK tax payer, the most unsophisticated fraud imaginable. Fraudster: I've got a new personal bank account Mr Treasury, I started a brand new business online this morning, can I have some tax payer money? Mr Treasury: Yes sure no worries, you can have £50,000, what's your account number?

And the blame for that can't be attributed to Boris Johnson.

You could broadly count this block as the ones who voted against the Xmas 2022 lockdown, circa 100.

It's not an exact science, and the majority of MPs of any party will have an massive eye on what's best for them personally. So some of them will be hoping to get into the government. Many spartans and new blue wallers don't really have designs on a cabinet spot, and simply want to hold on to their seat. But some ex ministers know they won't be back any time soon either.
