If it were De Santis vs Biden tomorrow it would end up being an absolute tonking. Following on from Virginia De Santis would seem like an obvious and very strong choice for the GOP. At this moment in time Trump is nowhere near the best candidate they have, so could cause massive headaches for them.

Buttigieg and Warren attracting support for the Dems. Two front runners look like absolute no go disaster zones as things stand.

If I was the Dem boss and I thought blacks would support Buttigieg, he would be the candidate immediately. They won't though.

John Bolton predicted Trump won't run for president again in 2024 because he fears being known as a loser if it doesn't work out

John Bolton, the former national security advisor to Donald Trump, predicted that the former president wouldn't run for office in 2024 because he fears being known as a loser.

Bolton said Wednesday that he believed that Trump would continue to tease the prospect of a run but would not ultimately seek the Republican nomination.

"I don't think Trump will run for the presidency in 2024," Bolton told Robert Peston, an anchor on Britain's ITV network.

"I think he knows deep inside, although he will never admit it, he did lose in 2020 and very much fears losing in 2024 because if there's anything he hates in the world he hates being called a loser.

"I think he will talk about running incessantly until the very last moment because if he were ever to say he was not going to be a candidate, it would turn the spotlight off, and he doesn't like that either."

I agree with that summary.

It would be much wiser to nominate De Santis anyway. Doesn't have the baggage of being a whiny victim slimeball that mass rejects female voters.

Joe will be in nappies by then. Kamala is invisible. What's the odds on George Clooney ?

Apparently from multiple accounts, Trump is in nappies already and has been for some time.

Where did you get that from ,Don Leemon ? Don't let Trump derangement syndrome affect your politics betting PP. You know better than that.

I can assure you I don't let anything of the sort affect my politics betting. In fact, I backed Trump when he won in 2016.

I might back him again in 2024, if he runs.

Losing the popular vote didn't stop him winning in 2016. He is likely to lose it again in 2024 but that might not stop him winning outright.

No, not really. I tend to shy away from possible "celebrity" candidates because they nearly always amount to nothing. This guy here for example might run for Texas Governor...

hard to believe but...

Republicans Saying Trump Likely to Be Reinstated by Year's End Jumps to 28 Percent

Anew poll found that more Republicans now think that Donald Trump will likely be reinstated as president before the end of 2021.

The survey by the Economist/YouGov was conducted between November 6 and 9 and surveyed 1,500 Americans. One of the questions that respondents answered was: "How likely or unlikely do you think it is that Donald Trump will be reinstated as President before the end of 2021?"

Thirteen percent of Republicans surveyed in November said that it is "very likely" that the former president would be reinstated, compared to only 11 percent of Republicans who said so in an October poll.

Republicans who said that Trump will "somewhat likely" be reinstated before 2021 ends increased from 11 percent in October to 15 percent in November.

apparently 11% of Americans believe the moon-landings were faked - this sort of tallies with the figure 28% of GOP voters thinking Trump will be reinstated this year. Long odds-on it's the same cretins who believe these two things.
