Too late to get involved now, price on October was mad days ago as I pointed out in some thread. Tbh it still isn't good now, hasn't an October election basically got to be called on Monday now?
Price on December was curious a few days ago but coming crashing down now. Supposedly the rebels want 17-21 November, but how do you actually get that week, if parliament isn't back until like 17th October, that's a real quick turnaround to call a general election in which is traditionally 6 weeks, which would actually take you into December after Johnson gets an extension. |

Yesterday morning John Curtice was live on BBC with a detailed assessment of the possible election dates.
He concluded that December was the most likely month for the next election. His political opinions are very well respected. That has probably played a big part in the shortening of the December price. |

Leave before 31st October is an absolute gift. Can't believe people haven't taken this down to sub 1.20 as in reality this is a 1.10 shot.
We will not be out by the end of October. It's a better betting proposition than leaving with no deal by the end of the year. |

Deal or not, they won't get anything through by the end of October. The end of October market should be well under 1.20, it won't happen. |

It's quite ironic that Boris' prorogation now is basically going to kill any chance of an October election he wants. If it doesn't pass on Monday there seems pretty much no chance of an October election. He will go on the offensive during the prorogation of course, as we can see attacking when facing no opposition is his speciality, but he will be pretty much forced into getting an extension immediately upon return. All the while the country will wonder why we are shutting down parliament for 5 weeks in a time of crisis.

The how they will get a November election bit will be interesting. As it appears now likely the election will basically be called straight after we get an extension, but 6 weeks is normally the time frame for an election and that will take us into December not November, though of course it is possible to get a quicker election, it's just whether there is any real desire to purposefully have a quicker election campaign?

Now then, could we see Boris the Bold row back from the proroguing of parliament on Monday when he fails in his second attempt to force an October election?
Would appear that they have changed tack and will concentrate efforts on getting a revised deal with the EU. Of course, their efforts are restricted by their insistence of the removal of the backstop, but we are now hearing of alternatives being put forward. So cancel the proroguing, cancel party conference season, keep requesting an election, keep up the chicken jibes, public opinion angered over rejections of GE's, bring back MV4 with Theresa May's unpublished Stephen Kinnock supported revised version, force Labour to have to vote it down. All of this would keep up the narrative of Labour being the problem until JC eventually caves and GE5 passes ? |

Johnson at this point refuses to ask EU for another extension, NO deal to be blocked at 17.00 today, so..... His options will be as of 17.01, Ask the EU for a extension(Refuses to do so), Revoke A50( Unlikely as his career will be dead), Ignore the law ( Hmm, That'll be interesting), Resign, Whens he resigning ? |

Oh 1 more thing, Macron suggests he may veto any extension requests as trust with the UK has broken down in his opinion.

Playing to his domestic audience again, a properly presented case for an extension would see him reluctantly agree but appear to be the one pulling the strings on its length.

December surely should be coming in now, they're saying they will back an election after 17-18 October presuming Boris gets an extension. #1 Shenanigans from Johnson can't be ruled out delaying them backing an election. #2 On traditional time scale it takes you into December, I had heard a few days ago they are targeting 17-21st November but not heard anything on precise date since then.
