Interesting to see the Canucks strengthing. Surprised with the forward signing and thought they may bolster the defence where they have been plagued by injury

evening all,
detroit and chicago (sorry drewboy!) ml for me tonight, singles and the double. gl tonight. |

Now that the dealing is done, who do you think wins the cup?
My bet on overs last night was about as off as it could be. I have unders in LA tonight so expect a scoring frenzy. Franzen and Rafalski out apparently. Good luck with any bets. |
|
By:
So is it the Hawks and Wings tonight? TIA
|
|
By:
Cant get a read on the Hawks game Conans. Hawks played a tough playoff-style game yesterday and I would expect similar tonight. May have a look at the tie.

![]() I've got a stack of views after trade deadline day and it did give an indication of the ambitions/strategy for the majority of teams for the remainder of the season , problem is it would take all day to type ![]() Will be looking for some immediate impact tonight from a few teams regarding either a positive or negative vibe emerging from yesterday , I would imagine that Dallas are feeling pretty good today after keeping BR and probably getting him back from injury later in the week , also will be delighted with the start new signing Goligoski has made and that should be exaggerated when Richards returns. Dallas have a really tough 4 game road trip starting tonight but then have a good home run of fixtures , I expect Dallas to return to their earlier season form for the remainder of the regulation season and with Coyotes losing the influential Scottie Upshall yesterday to Jackets they could be firing as early as tonight , over the next dozen games would rather be with Dallas than opposing them for sure. Looking through the schedule , speak later ![]() |

San Jose to beat the Avalanche in RT.
I had targeted this game a few days ago. The Sharks had an incredible February. Despite being on the road for ten of the thirteen games, they won eleven. Antti Niemi has been outstanding in nets averaging less than 1.90 goals against per game through the month. And though he isn't listed yet to start, San Jose hasn't played since Friday so he should be rested to get the call. Colorado, on the other hand, managed only one win in February and is still struggling with key players out with injuries. And recent trade acquisition Brian Elliot has yet to land a winning performance in nets for his new team after three starts. This one should be settled in sixty minutes. Good luck. |

Thanks SHAPES , nice to see you back

Hmmm, not on a winning note, though.
Two scoreless periods and looking at the hilites, SJ were shooting pucks right into Elliot's gut every time. Report from a friend of mine was no speed and basically up and down play by both teams. Stats will go down as a win for the Sharks but a loss in RT for m. Sounds like SJ ate too many burritos on their day off. |

Afternoon guys
Great start to the Dallas streak last night and having watched the entire game don't be fooled by the narrow scoreline as Stars totally bossed it for long periods hitting the pipes a few times. Did say a dozen games but suppose it's potentially 11 when they end the home run , 3 very difficult road trips in the next few days at Ducks/Sharks/Kings but as with all streaks it depends on prices and a blend of backing either regs/moneyline or maybe just lay the opposition in regs if the price is short enough for the safer option in the more difficult looking contests. This streak is almost certain to taste defeats along the way such is the schedule and unlikely to match the Sharks 9/9 streak earlier in the year but streaks are all about opinion and are as easy to jump off if required as easily as they are to climb aboard. Coyotes looked a lethargic bunch last night tbh and sods law I suppose that Scottie Upshall should score on his debut for Jackets , anyone any suggestions for a team streak after the deadline be it a neg or positive one , all opinions welcome ? Caps even brought the free scoring Islanders down to their goals levels last night for another unders , although I did say I wouldn't mention that topic again ![]() 2 good calls again for you D_Wad ![]() |

Well, thanks for pimping Dallas HAYDEN.
|
|
By:
Dallas a good spot, well done.
Don't know enough to really comment on how the trades will affect the coming weeks, but even given injury problems, Pittsburgh have looked better lately and they are the only team I feel strongly about. Would not be surprised to see NJ win another low scorer. GL |

Can't stay up tonight as we have a corporate away day with work tomorrow, so up early. So just having a little on my fancy of overs in the Flames/Blackhawks game. Good luck to any of you guys doing the midnight shift tonight.

evening all,
having managed to pick regulation wins in three tied games last night , I'll chance further close affairs in toronto, chicago and anaheim for small singles doubles and the treble.wd with dallas hayden, it persuaded me to have a dabble which saved the evening, ta. gl all tonight |
|
By:
oh, and islanders single as well. last night's turnaround might have knocked the stuffing out of them, but at odds against for the ml I'm prepared to take the risk.
this has the added benefit of ensuring that at least one of drewboy and I win! ![]() |

WINGS AND THE DUCKS OVERS @ 1.88
Anaheim have enough depth on the wings even with Koivu missing from the line-up. And the visiting Wings have players contributing points from several line combinations anchored by Datsyuk and Zetterberg. Detroit keeper Howard remains vulnerable with a shaky save average recently. I can't separate the teams for a bet (value to the punter that can) but will place my chip on seven or eight goals going in tonight. Good luck |

My picks tonight
Lightning on the money line. Islanders in regulation. Leafs on the money line. Hawks on the money line. Not doing bad so far. |
|
By:
Well done cheeky. Great picking i must say......

|
By:
Well done to most - especially cf
Great stuff |
|
By:
Yes well done guys plenty of winners posted
![]() That's 54 goals in the last 14 games for Islanders and it's probably a good example of what can happen when your play-off hopes all but disappear and you play without fear or as much intensity , Devils continue on the roll and one thing certain for them is that they can't afford to " target " the games we often talk about against the teams loitering around 8th place as every game is a cup final for them in their current position , in any case the way they've performed since xmas they'll fear absolutely nobody at the moment. Lovely schedule mix tonight , speak later ![]() |

Place at 6.8 - shame it couldn't get a bit nearer for btl.
A good run for the money though - hope it doesn't end up getting hammered for that |

Columbus for me tonight.
And Minnesota may just put a performance in tonight at a price. Last early start for a while tomorrow, thank goodness, so hopefully see some hockey this weekend. GL all ![]() |
|
By:
Thanks guys, ran really well, as I said you can't guarantee a win but it helps if you know they are trying and that they think they have a good one. From first impression is that the mile race she was entered in tomorrow may have suited better. Drewboy, handicap mark perhaps scuppered tonight as bell horse sets a fair standard at this level.
Back to the NHL now ![]() |

crikey just watched the Gillies head hit on Clutterbuck last night , his first6 game back after a 9 game suspension for the same thing , he's been summoned to HQ in the morning so looks like a longgggggg holiday this time.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgfOpSyqo9M You wouldn't be his biggest fan drew as Wild could ill afford to be without Clutterbuck for any period of time. |
