Nothing wrong with greening up mate when things aren't going your way , couldn't get a handle on any of the tonight games at all but think Flyers may be stronger from the middle part of the series as Bruins may get fatigued.

Great to see the Sharks game tomorrow starting at 8pm UK time , those 3.30am starts are killing me  Happy

Good call that drew tbh , thought that was too difficult a game to get involved in , some teams will show severe signs of fatigue during the 2nd round and beyond seeing as this was their 90th game of the season tonight , hence the crazy scoreline and more 7-3 type scores to follow I think over the next couple of weeks , tougher for Bruins than most with their over physical approach and they may be worth a series lay at very short odds here if they go 3-0 or maybe 3-1 ahead.

Neither team played well but I agree Flyers will not be as poor again.  The turn around is so fast and it must be difficult to put the game 7 decider emotions on one side and just pick up again.

I'd like to see Boston go 2-0 up and then be able to lay off my stake on them winning the thing as they really don't look to have the firepower, and I also think they have an over-reliance on Thomas who does have the occasional stinker.  Most goalies do having said that, its just that he seems a bit of a maverick at times which could cost, and I'm a firm believer in having a lot of faith in 2 stoppers.  Is Rask fit?

Tonight's game looks a minefield - Rinne will have to be superb through the entire series if Nashville are to even begin to make inroads.  I think that Vancouver will be quick out of the blocks and that it may be the case that 5/4 about over 1.5 first period goals is possibly a little off the mark.  I can see no other bet here.

Its still a long time to wait - have something medicinal, and an extra one for me Grin

Looks as though this bet is going to come a cropper but no regrets - more genuine chances and goalmouth scrambles in first 10 minutes than the whole of game 1.  Highly watchable stuff

Will be pretty cruel if Preds lose this even if they did equalise late in third......

Double OT on its way
By:

When: 01 May 11 08:58
A game as you would expect between the top top defences over the regular season.  It may be easy to look at the shot totals and suggest that Preds were the better team but that is dangerous.

Once the had a lead Van were happy to sit back, take the pressure, play on the counter and hopefully see out the win.  It nearly worked.  Late leveller for Nashville and we are in OT.

The Van team playing at 0-0 and 1-1 were totally different to those playing with the lead.  Indeed Renne was magnificent to keep Preds in it throughout OT.

Still get the feeling that the team and fans still think they are going to cruise through this series and I still feel this way even though Van have lost serve for the first time in the playoffs.  Hopefully the team now think differently and step up their game.

The defensive tactics nearly worked today for Vingault but nearly is not good enough.  And when you have the top offense should this be the route you are going?

Game Three Tuesday.

A bit late this after 1st is finished but I'm on under 5.5 in SJ.

Happy there has only been one goal up until now with all of the penalties - would be happier still if Sharks can kill it off somewhat.  Would settle for 2-0/3-0 after next

Nice one - and for you too I guess Hayden Grin

These game 2 matches have been tight but hoping for 1st period mayhem in the Caps/Bolts game.  Obvious danger is Caps going back to basics but over 5.5 will do for me - bet is only for interest though, trousering a profit tonight Cool

More comprehensive win than the score suggested in my view and 3 really good elements contributed to the win , they out shoot Wings despite being ahead for 55 mins of the game , only 2 goals conceded in 127 mins and the all round contribution is tremendous , 2-0 a nice lead but Wings are Wings and the Joe will be difficult , impressive play-off hockey tonight from Sharks though by any standards.

Caps need to take note of the Sharks shots totals during these play-offs and 28 the other night simply isn't good enough , expecting 40+ tonight and if Roloson's going to be the star man tonight make him earn it rather than handing it to him.

Nice unders drew  Happy

Both teams completely abject on the PP.

I'd much rather see Washington carry the puck in more - forwards look dead to the world trying to chase pucks down that are being shot in.  You'd think they would have a little more imagination?
By:
Hayden
When: 02 May 11 03:31
Yes looked short on ideas and suppose that's the price you can pay when sacrificing some flair for more defensive stability , this Tampa team are a good unit and it's not just about how Caps play as was half expected before the series began.
No way is this remotely over though and you've only got to look back at the Boston series in the same position before turning it around , some of these home teams are struggling under intense pressure and it could easily look completely different when they hit the road , be like a burden lifted.

Similar pressure on Flyers tomorrow night after losing the opener , surely the poor Bruins special teams will start costing them soon Confused

Cardiff is fearless Grin of course Tampa are in a strong position but the home ice pressure is on them now for a couple of games and if they share the next two it's game on for sure , massive credit to Tampa for the game plan and formation for two brilliant road wins.

You could be right drew about Bruins and who can tell , rather wait and see if they go 3-0 or 3-1 ahead in the series then lay them very short and see what happens.

Should be good viewing tonight anyway  Happy

Just seen the early lines for tomorrows Vancouver game.  Hills going 5/6 on Canucks.  Too good to miss.  Hopefully some more offense on display and they have been kick started by the home loss.

Hope the Caps can turn it around for you Cardiff.  Obviously game 3 crucial.

Great result for Bruins for a 2-0 series lead , never seen a more physically strong team as this lot they're tough as teak , series long way from over but you would think Flyers need the next one and with a probably fit Pronger back you couldn't rule them out just yet.

Yes mate always looked winners for me even when a goal behind , 3 crackers tonight and it's the point of no return for Caps , still think over 40 shots is a must for them but all credit to Tampa methinks , due a game 3 theory bet tonight but opting for no bet as I can't bring myself to oppose the mighty Sharks , other game is really interesting and if a fit Pronger returns who knows.

Not brave enough to take the 44s but more than happy to take the 11/10 caps on ML tonight.  That is my pick tonight.

Fingers crossed they can take it back to Washington.  Then who knows.

I have no strong opinion on the Boston v Philly game but will probably play the detroit game 3 system bet.  Hopefully will stay up for 'early' match but need to sleep to stay fresh for tonorrow encounter.

Swardean , good luck if you've played game 3 in Detroit , I should be playing Wings but definitely opting for no bet rather than oppose Sharks , probably regret it but missing one bet won't harm over a season , expecting Heatley to be a threat tonight.
By:
Hayden
When: 05 May 11 03:03
Some great displays tonight , Bruins literally blow Flyers away in the opening 67 secs and fully deserve their 3-0 series lead , the energy levels from Boston is just amazing.
Whichever hat you're wearing it's impossible to argue against the demolition job by Tampa , awesome stuff from Stamkos & Co and it's back to the drawing board for Caps , getting through to R2 may prevent Bruce from becoming toast for another season but in all honesty chasing a series with an average of 30 shots a game gives you little or no chance of turning it around.
Only one game 3 theory bet this time around but i've let my heart rule my head and swerved a bet on the game because I want Sharks to win the series , it's 3-2 Wings at the 2nd intermission so I may have missed a winner which will serve me right.

I'll probably have that dirt cheap lay of Bruins for the series now drew as it's very little risk anyway , you're getting a good run for your money from Bruins to lift the cup though mate  Happy

No joy for me but what is it with these walkover series. 3-0, 3-0, 4-0.  Wow, very unexpected !!

I think I read that the capitals have only won 2 series playoff games since 1998 !!!  Is that true !! talk about underachieving.

No bet for me tonight, too tired and up early.  Think Van have shown enough though to win the series in 5.

Good luck players

After another few days of catch up i'm up to speed. Viewed most games in round two and here's my thoughts.

Right now it's hard not to be impressed by TB, to power past the Pens from 3-1 down and then smashing the Caps into oblivion, they won't fear anyone with the form they're in. I have a juicy 12-1 ticket to win the East, but had no Cup bet (wtf were you thinking CJ!).

However, i've just finished watching the Bruins trounce my Flyers, and they are going to be formidable opponents, they play HARD, and will surely start favs (when / not if they make it past Philly), I for one can't wait for the match-up with TB.

In the West, i have 50s on the Preds, but while they're not getting outplayed they've pretty much no chance of lifting the cup from what i've seen. Very good defensively but just don't do it for me on offence. I can't see them taking out VAN, who i think are overrated, and a team i'm taking on if they make the next round!

The Wings must wonder what they have to do against SJ, that's 5 straight OT wins in the play-offs already for SJ, proving they're are as tough as teak! Strangely i don't think DET are out of it, they've edged it for me in a couple of those losses, and have the talent to turn things around but it's unlikely from this position.

Think SJ are a good bet to West, where i'm sure they'd start as the dogs against (likely) VAN, but i'd favour both TB and BOS over them.

Thoughts guys?
