Forget to mention Drew, ordered a case of Sancerre (£150 for 12) and just cant stop drinking it.  Delicious.  I think you are more of a red man but will get the label for you as it is fantastic.  BBQ Chicken, nice grean salad and a Sancerre, Mmmm

Probably no coincidence it's that dreaded game 4 again when anything can and often does happen , same situation tomorrow for me and if you held a gun to my head for the outcome i'd probably just say shoot.

Good luck guys   Happy

This weekend gets better and better !!  Many thanks for the pointer Hayden.

Looking forward to the game tonight, unheard of to have a Pacific game at such a prime time for UK viewers.  Still got the feeling that Van could nick this one.  Taking advantage of the early kick-off away team theory

Yes, it is great that we have a match from the west at a watchable time - on nights the rest of the week so no faulting my shift pattern with this great Stanley Cup coming to a tremendous climax.

Hit some luck last night having layed Estu at Huracan Swardean.  Estu 2-0 up after 29, abandoned after 33 due to crowd violence!  Just hoping the 3 day rule doesn't wreck things.... Laugh

Sancerre the king of white wine - I'll be travelling to the Loire light in August so that I can weigh the car down with a few cases - always need to ensure your load is evenly distributed!  And btw, well done with the double, your typo made me chuckle....ROCKY ROCKY!!!  The most certain thing last night was an equaliser in Sociedad, just got a little greedy with my draw bet Cry

Just watching the highlights of the game last night and probably didn't appreciate watching live what a good viewing spectacle it was , nervous for Sharks tonight if i'm honest and my wishes are all hopeful rather than confident , hoping the early start doesn't work against them , hoping they can produce at least the equal level of game 3 , hoping Nucks don't learn from the other night.
Despite no financial interest i'll be the happiest person outside San Jose if they level the series tonight , don't know whether it's wishing them to win so much or just my sensible Hockey head that's telling me they won't.

May the best team win    [;)]

Bizarre watching hockey whilst still light outside.

Sharks looked to have edged the 1st period so Van will be happy to still be level.  Difficult to assess the outcome as stuttering performance will all the penalties going one way.  LET THEM PLAY !!!

Will the refs try to even it up later... we will see.

Probably 2-2 on very good scoring chances and both keepers look to be in the zone.

Tension will be unbearable as the game grows older and remains tight , it's a cliche but a lucky break or spark of brilliance wins the day  [:(]

Penalties are one thing, 5 on 3's are something else.

Game over imo, 2-0 and 1.39 another 5 on 3

To be fair SJ looked impotent on their 10 mins of powerplay.  Van looked more dangerous in their first 30 seconds of PP.   3 absolute rockets.  The kesler one perfectly placed.  Anyway no need to sweat it out.  Im out of this one.
By:

When: 22 May 11 21:43
Not arguing here Swardean, SJ have looked piss poor on the powerplay.

5 on 3 equals goals, the too many men penalty was pretty dopey

When: 22 May 11 21:45
Yes can't argue with that tbh , if I wasn't so biased this would have been a decent bet on Nucks for me but too biased to get involved at all , that monumental effort to get up for game 3 is an absolute ball breaker.

Series not quite done and dusted yet I suppose

Yes it was and the commentator called it right.  Henrik played for that as he signalled to the ref as soon as the shark touched the puck.

Vancouver +46 in the 3rd period and are the perfect team to sit on a lead.  However we saw what happened in Tampa last night to lots of hockey to play.

Is there any SA tonight drew?

2 games - both really unappetising Swardean

River will probably beat San Lo, Boca are always too short but Arsenal Sarandi look dreadful lately.

No betting here

Bias is a strange on when it comes to betting.  Has paid dividends on Nucks for last 3 years but before that was always tough to follow.   My NFL team is Seattle and apart from the 2006 season (when we were absolutely robbed in the superbowl).  I can never bet against them and prob has cost me loads.

Perhaps pays to be neutral but for me sport is all about emotional attachment.

Just like allthought NH horses we keep giving one more chance

Have a look at the relegation table at the bottom of this link Swardean before embarking on any Argie bets.  Sure you are familiar with their format?  Anyway, tonight's matches mean a whole lot more to River and Arsenal, so laying the away teams could well be the way forward....

Very unusual for me Swardean tbh , have never gone completely the opposite and cost myself money but have very occasionally opted out of a bet , like to see Dallas in the NFL and Nadal do well from a personal point of view but neither would ever affect my betting , luckily I don't follow any other sports so it's never a problem , on this one occasion my heart ruled my head.

Wish I could be as disciplined Hayden.  As well as Vancouver and Seattle I have an ever rotating of about 12 NH horses I follow.  In addition I have Phil Mickelson on the golf.  Thankfully my obsession with Jelena Dokic is over otherwise I would be bankruptLaugh

Hope Vancouver either go out now or win the Final in 4.

My Playoff beard is getting some really strange reactions at work.  I have dark hair but my beard is redder than Raef Torres!!

In for a penny etc.......

Boston -1.5 @ 2/1 for me.  Anything could happen tonight the way this series is going, hoping that Roloson, who has been superb this season, starts and much of the jibber jabber since the weekend has gotten to him.

Good luck, hope its a corker Grin

Tampa completely unphased and look the business tonight unfortunately.

Thomas looking shaky and Tampa with what looks like a real cutting edge.  Losing nothing at all around their own end boards
By:

When: 24 May 11 01:55
Boston surely happy that this game is not buried already - Tampa's powerplay looks like a 5 on 3 at the minute.  They just walk the blue line at will, Boston continue shooting the puck in.  Strikes me that their confidence is pretty low at the minute and they will need maybe a bit of luck to spark them again.  One thing for certain, if they continue to be penalised they are going nowhere tonight

Didn't stay up was getting some rest ahead of tonight.  But nice collect Drew at 2/1.  Sounds like another game of fine margins and sometimes possession and aggression isnt enough if the puck doesnt bounce your way.

No bets on tonights game whereas very strong on game 4.  Think Van will get it done but equally likely that will happen in game 5, 6 or 7 !!!

Yes gutted to get that close to a 6th game , Sharks out shot them 129-77 over the last 3 games but that's what happens when you're chasing your tail and the brilliant dominant performance by Nucks in the opening 2 home games practically sealed this series , always extremely difficult to go 2-0 nowadays but massive credit for taking that advantage , well played Nucks  Happy

Advice please lads......

Want the same bet that I took the other night but as TB are favs they are the team giving the start.  I want to take Boston -1.5 again - any ideas where I can find the bet?

TIA

Sorry drew only just spotted your post..............

Only thing I can think of is to back the winning margins , Paddies are the best odds but there's obviously a built in over round

Boston Bruins by 2     13/2

Boston Bruins by 3     8/1

Boston Bruins by 4     22/1

Boston Bruins by 5 or More 33/1

I know a couple look unlikely but safer to cover the same options you would have taken from the h/cap if it existed , if you proportion the stakes to win the same amount the odds work out at 9/4.

The good thing if you haven't an a/c with them already is that they match the first bet up to £50 as a free bet so that will make it a worthwhile investment and give you far better value if you use it wisely.

Hope that helps , give me a shout if you need anything else , good luck  Happy

Hayden
When: 25 May 11 22:20
As you can see yourself that's the problem with a bookies over round as the 9/4 you can get in the example is probably far too close to the 2.80 you can get anyway by backing them just to win in regulation , that's why you need to utilise the free bet to enhance the bet and make it a practical investment.

Slept in ffs Cry

Fwiw Hayden I took 11/2 to win by 2 and 7/1 to win by 3 as a saver with 365, there were only 2 firms priced up on oddschecker in this market of the 6 accts I hold.  2-1 a decent outcome for the 1st, have I missed much?

Thanks for the advice btw, seems odd when the win odds are so close that they don't offer the hcp both ways?  Would seem an obvious bet to offer, especially in such a big game?  Anyway here for last 2 periods (at least)

Driving me mad watching Bruins on PP - its not rocket science, TB pressure the puck and Bruins 1st touch at the point MUST improve - they just want too much time and it is painful to watch.

My advice to Boston would be simply this - shoot
