Desertmore Stream is another horse and he is going to Fenton and Rockdown for Elliott.

I would bet Moyle Park is on his way to Gigginstown as well

Finally some of these young horses are getting entered up.

Made in Germany and Band of Blood

Still a long way to go in the season. Not a great year but there is a abundance of talent there just need to put the resources in the correct hands

Funny story lads...Romanesco is now a Gigginstown horse.

So many horses have gone missing from Gigginstown....where the F(*K ARE THEY!!!!!.

I guess there is no point running now and destroying novice status but I love to see them at least winning Bumpers. There may be a run coming on the cards for the bumpers, they have a lot of animals unraced entered up lately!

Michael O'Leary is just another, in a long line of very successful businessmen who thinks he can crack this racing game. Whether it's arrogance or bad judgement or a combination of both someone is making a lot of expensive schoolboy errors. Bigger and wealthier men than M O'L have been brought to their knees by investing in racehorses. It may be a hobby to him but the poor returns are an embarrassment. Leopardstown at Christmas was truly awful.
National hunt horses are slow maturing types but it seems to me that all his good young horses are being rushed into graded races way too early with the inevitable result that these hard races knock them back and they never fulfill their potential.  With Cheltenham only a few weeks away he hasn't got one standout candidate for any of the races.  That may change in the meantime but it's been a poor year so far.

Yeah he won and obv is a chaser in the making...lost but delighted for the owners. That was a handy enough race now!

Don Cossack, bubble completely burst.

Didn't even travel well, jumped too high or just met the hurdle wrong. No guts to fight for it in the finish.

Put him away now and bring him back for Novice Chase's next year, no career over hurdles but i guess we knew that

Still would have expected Don Cossack to win today Ruby, the race was set up perfectly for him.
By:
rubyisgodinthesaddle
When: 03 Feb 13 14:09
I completely expected him to win, he didn't even travel or find much particulary off the bridle.

The way he jumps he is a chaser and that will be where he is seen at his best. But he starting to remind me of Mount Benbulben for Elliott!

This outfit is not very good at placing their horses.
Good horses and bad trainers = Disaster

When: 03 Feb 13 20:32
I would say that Don Cossack ran a cracker today. Three bumper wins in the doesn't generally equate to a Supreme Novice hurdle winner and if you look past the hype you will find a very useful horse that will only improve with age.

That Rough Justice looks a bit of a wrong'un!
By:
wildmanfromborneo
When: 03 Feb 13 21:01
Rough Justice will never win a bumper.
I know he won the race but why was Davy Russell not riding Far Away So Close?
Keen Leader first with the news again.

Trainer Arthur Moore will have gained plenty satisfaction winning the race named in his father's honour, the Dan Moore Memorial Handicap Chase at Punchestown today, with Lastoftheleaders who completed a double on the day for jockey Davy Russell.

The Champion Jockey, earlier successful on 25/1 chance Born In Fire but beaten on Don Cossack in the Grade 2 hurdle, was a notable booking on Moore's gelding, having been allowed 'off' his retained owner Gigginstown House Stud's Far Away So Close in the race.

Point to Point horse's didn't do great over the weekend.

Good to see Make your mark back tomorrow and should win in a canter.

Eoin Griffen has a horse for giggy entered up on Henessey day....interesting and what the hell happened Owen Griffen nearly forgot who he was.

Keen Leader, first with the news.

The whole story was doing the rounds at Punchestown yesterday.

Surprised it's not on here yet.

I will give a cryptic clue tomorrow if no one has the answer. Cool
By:
The Gotchee
When: 04 Feb 13 20:26
Why did Russell ride Lastoftheleaders yesterday?
When horses run badly or not up to expectation the jockey is always a sitting target. I suspect the Gigginstown jockey/owner relationship is fairly fragile at the moment.
A retained jockey is not always a good idea particularly when riding for so many different stables.

WMFB, I don't want to do the racing journalists out of a scoop as that is how they earn their corn, but there are clues to be found in the two races that Davy won on Sunday. Anyone with a fertile imagination may come up with something.

Saying no more on the subject.

Looks like success or failure for this seasons Gigginstown operation rests with Sir De Champs in the Gold Cup. Have to say it think it will take a good one to beat him.

SDC doesn't jump well enough to win a  CHELTENHAM GOLD CUP. He won't be in th first 3. The Hennessy was a sh1t race, he was all out to beat a non stayer. I will leave this forum if he wins the Gold Cup.
