If he overcomes the 12 draw he should beat the other's with hurdle form if you
go by their ratings & what they've done.Square Necker is the main danger going by the betting & got a decent draw (5) but he is giving him 5LB. Interesting to see how he goes with the stalls & 12F trip. |

necker 100 rated...some target for cons tbh...necker 1st 3 shirley the bet.

Henderson is in decline imo.

is it he who's running?

Never witnessed this nonsense in decades tbh….
Home schooling with top work riders and a racecourse gallop or two,on turf…. Unibet ……boot them out….. |
|
By:
Southwell loving every minute…..the only beneficiary imv…..
Crowds pouring in for what….? Invades invading howling and squawking…… Billy Smart springs to mind tbh…. |

a chance for people to see a hurdling superstar dave...stop being the miserablekhúnt.

its great for the racecourse, but still dont see what the point is, in, CH running against mainly hurdlers in a flat race on a synthetic
surface. |

Its a bit of a circus.....lets hope there are no mishaps and he wins....

Pretty obvious, he wasn't going to have another go over hurdles after throwing himself at the last one. So the options were retirement or a spin on the flat. Since there is no turf racing in the winter, it has to be on the sand. He couldn't plausibly go FF5F and risk falling again. Theoretically he could, but he has effectively become public property. Which is obviously also the reason for all the hype around Friday.
If he flops, they will most likely call it a day. I suppose it doesn't end the saga if he wins in a canter. But that seems somewhat unlikely. |

at the risk of flaming a fire that i didnt want to see lit ...apparently nicky now not happy with the draw ! ffs .... he is not istabraq . some may think so , but he is not and never will be .

After all the hype and headlines,it has all the signs of being a huge anti climax.

Horse won't know what hit him. This race is all wrong for him on so many fronts. And will prove zip.
|
|
By:
Maybe you could drop Mr Henderson a line and explain exactly what he should do with the horse.I am sure he would appreciate any help.
|
|
By:
enniwon laid cons yet? or jussed more woffling from the non bettors? (ie dickster)
|
|
By:
The race is tomorrow frico not today. Plenty of time to decide how to play it. Mr Henderson and Buckley should retire him. Too old for the flat. And by the law of averages IF he runs in the champion and falls again the consequences could be fatal. They will never be forgiven. And he probably will fall again.

Tripoli Flyer might improve for not having anything to jump.

I was at Southwell yesterday. it was bloody cold. If it's like that on Friday night I can see Nicky withdrawing CH on the basis he might catch a chill.

If you're not interested in how Constitution Horse does, then you can see simply ignore the race, don't read anything about him on the Racing sites and stop posting on this thread. It's like those sad acts that used to write into Points of View to complain about a TV show they didn't enjoy!

eye oh..dus this mean you laid it? post the lay..isnt illegal. |

i will post it as soon as i find a stamp

A lot of people thinking he wont lay up, he`s too old etc.... But what if he does lay up and enjoys the fact that there`s nothing to jump!
Id say he will lay up quite easily. Not a lay for me. Just a watch and I hope he wins! |

I blame the point to point type rider for ruining the horses confidence tbh…..
Animals don’t forget…. |

I'm in the same camp as you Kiddy. They couldn't go quick enough for him over hurdles and I've always believed the faster the go, the better he'll look. Do punters honestly believe he doesn't have the ability to lay up with the likes of Tripoli Flyer and Daddy Long Legs? Obviously, the falls might have left a mark but reading between the lines on how he was working before the Fighting Fifth and subsequently, this doesn't sound the case. If he beats the promising Square Necker, he wins.
As for running in this seasons Champion Hurdle, why would they do that? It's only by some kind of miracle he doesn't have another F in his form figures. Those who want him to run in the Champion hurdle are obviously not concerned about the horses welfare. A season on the Flat and with a potential return to hurdles next season would be the smart decision IMO. After all, Sea Pigeon won the Champion Hurdle aged 10 & 11 ![]() |
