i hope cons pi$$es up tomorrow...but..

surely he cannot run in the champion hurdle in 17days time without a prep run over hurdles? been not a menchum of any schooling at home either.
square necker looks a solid 100+ horse with more improvement to come, won over the trip, won on all weather, looks very solid yardstick..i will be amazed if cons beats it comfortably even in receipt of 5lb at 9yrs old.

there was something a few days back when henderson was being interviewed, he said they'd schooled him and he'd been seen by breisner, i have always felt that they will turn up at chelt whatever happens tomorrow

Mick Fitz said on Atr a couple of days ago that Yogi Breisner continues to work with him and his schooling has been great as has his work, also said that he thinks he should go for champion hurdle.

yard isn't known for telling the media before they decide it's the market always tells you their intent, you could get 12s just a few days ago, half that now

if they decide not to go you'd see it at 80s in a flash because there are people in the yard that lay

Didnt See You Then have a quick turnaround from his first run to the last of his CH wins?..

obviously a hurdle race....

even in the 80s, Nicky was a circus...

As for the race tomorrow, surely CH is a lay.....ill just watch though.

Rico and I are in the minority on here in that we hope he bolts up....I think he will. Cool

I hope he bolts up, but the only time he completed recently in Ireland he was out with the washing.

Even in tomorrows jumpers bumper, i wouldnt trust him to turn up.

Dilemma lay to lose 2 bags or back to win 2 bags................
The latter is my choice atm, unless it drifts too much.
Probably end up no bet Confused

If CH goes to 2-1 I think that's a terrific bet. He has a high cruising speed, the distance for the flat should be perfect , he is a big horse so 9st 6 will be nothing for him + he has a world class jockey onboard.

take necker away and whats it got to beat? a few 70/80 rated flat horses?

Yes, race looks very weak......Its as though most of the top uk trainers have left the race alone and left it to the NH trainers and in particular to make it as easy as possible for CH to look good.

Hope he does look good and wins

However we dont have much recent form to go on...Lots of incompletes and that terrible run in Ireland.

Will there be a parting of the sarfwell seas..Happy

I'd need to see 5 (here) before contemplating backing him. At present he does not deserve to be a shortie and fav. A classic case of connections before an established formline.

The horse is past his best and the trainer is a light of former years. If Constitution Hill was thought to be any good on the flat, how come he’s not raced on it until nine years old? It’s a publicity seeking joke and peeps backing him on hurdle ratings are having a laugh. Tripoli Flyer looks more of a flat type to me and I’m happy to have an all weather grafter on board.

Square Necker looks the bet, hoping for more than 2/1.

Billy Loughnane champion amateur jockey. Fergal will have been planning this as soon as the contrived race and prize money were announced. I hope he does something soggy to Nicky’s chips.

I think they're trying to rebuild the horse's confidence , and at the same time see if hes totally gone at the game .
If I had such a fabulous horse, I would want to keep him in training , as long as it wasn't endangering him ( although of course danger is ever present in horse racing ).

It's been said here  that Nicky isn't the force of old. Do the complainants have anything to demonstrate this?

I'm sure Megan is looking forward to saying that he 'got into a good rhythm' as she does for EVERY horse that wins a race, no matter the circumstances.

if you do a google search for 'gutter level journalism', this article on the RP website is top of google...

Flat or jumps - win, lose or fall - Nicky Henderson will make the right call with Constitution Hill

Id love to get into a good rhythm with Megan.

Unfortunately like CH, I might be past my best.

There is no one better than the master of Seven Barrows at bringing horses back to the top from the brink, and if he thinks that this is best for Constitution Hill then, quite simply, he knows best.

CH career depends on tonight.  Win he stays on the flat. Run badly he is retired tmrw. Runs ok ( finishes well runs into a place) they will consider the Champion hurdle. I would think Hendo hopes he wins tonight so he doesnt have to risk the horse at Cheltenham.

hendo,s mob have backed/laid dead horses, horse,s ruled out for the season, sold their grannies, doped the queens horses, forgive me but if their seeing a group one flat in horse in training everyday allegedly and arnt sweeping up all the 2,s + prices on machine, boosts etc, etc, in an egg n spoon race full of 80 rated flat horses/NH hurdlers,  think best advice is  joining them and watching brief only

if you bet in this you're a degen..way too menni imponderables re cons hill.
do i want cons hill to win?  yes
as ive stated, imo square necker is a 100+ horse with plenty improvement to come,so even getting 5lb cons is gona have to run to 95..at 9yr old im not sure.
square necker at 1/5 1st 4 looks rock solid value.
