This is manufactured publicity and an absolute joke. Racing has always bent over backwards for Henderson. The horse will run… and get beat.

Most all weather regulars wouldn’t give a toss if the horse ran or not ,also it one of those fixtures for young people who also wouldn’t give a toss if it ran or not ,the only numbers that would be down are the gravy train mob who would never go to a cold February Friday night.

Was basing that on his early form Nov 22, agreed very unlikely to be anywhere near that now.

This is a pointless exercise that will tell us nothing. The horse has forgotten how to hurdle not how to run.

He's a 100+ horse all day long. Anyone like to explain to me how he wouldn't beat a 109 rated Burdett Road on the Flat? lol He'd gallop all over him (NAP) Although it's hard to know what affect those falls have had on him. So, it really isn't a pointless exercise to race him and the feedback Murphy gives after the race will tell us EVERYTHING

Only in racing,

Race invented for hill.

Live on itv

The whole world tunes in.

Horse gets ballotted out.

Next week.
World darts final, but Luke littler balloted out.

So bill from the red lion plays against Alf from the white hart.

Unfortunately racings shotgun, went off and blew its own foot off,but themselves the rules.pmsl.

I'm trying to find Sea Pigeons's rating when he won the Ebor top weight as a 9 year old, probably at least a 100, but a iron horse from another time and an unfair comparison. Vauban rated at 115 at end of 2024 season, but only as a 6 year old.

having to  manufacture a race for this horse to get his confidence back is pathetic . ireland has half the racing we do in uk and judging by some field sizes twice the horse population . i can't recall elliot or mullins bleating about how they can't find races for their horses . english jump trainers ( some ) need to grow a pair and get stuck in . on another , slightly related point , the post had a lad called denis harney today saying con hill was ' the most breathtaking hurdler ' he has ever seen . then admitted he was too young to remember istabraq . give me strength , ffs !!!!!

There's a market up for ...Will CH run at Southwell?...on BF exchange
Hardly any money but it's roughly betting 1/4 yes

Like it or not CH is still box office. So you have a valuable race, big entry, big audience, nobody loses. If he gets in Grin

I'd agree if it was a pumped up racecourse gallop. They had a race like that on the flat in Salisbury, three runners and one of them was the same trainer as the horse they out the race on for (Stanhope Gardens)

A BHA spokesperson said:

"Following the automated random ballot, Constitution Hill is number 16 in order for the SBK Road To Cheltenham Novice Stakes. The maximum field size for the race will either be 12 or 14, depending on available stabling capacity and whether other races on the card divide."

We all know that he will get in the race, surely?
The 1/4 looks a gift, but it's not my kind of bet
I would imagine 1 or 2 might conveniently drop out at the final decs if necessary
Happy to be proved wrong

Decent prize money for this, probably why they've entered.
Wasted entry if they just bail out for him & his connections.

Agree Penzance, I'm just being cynical, we all know that the track,ITV and the sport in general want him to run...I'll be very surprised if he doesn't make the cut
By:
alaneva
When: 16 Feb 26 07:07
I'm pretty sure connections have been ringing around the smaller stables offering a few hundred quid etc not to run. Not about prize money (21k to winner) for them, but if there is 2 horses stopping him from running that look to have no chance, their owners and trainer may have deliberately entered cause of the pot, and could end up grabbing a grand or two for not declaring.....

If CH is balloted out following the decs if a latter withdrawal occurs can he be reinstated?

Those trainers who pull there tripe out all winter travelling on cold dark nights shouldn’t be worrying about running there horses instead of constitution hill.

1M6F Flat Race
Burdett Road Ev
Constitution Hill Ev

Before the falls, I would have had my betting Bank, my Reserve bank and sell everything I own to back CH in such a race

Also wasn't this race at Southwell just brought forward and the sponsor of the card simply added more prize Money to the kitty? So hardly a manufactured race and maybe a certain trainer should concern himself with training a few more winners than complaining about the added prize money for the race

Imagine complaining about young racegoers and potential future fans of the sport getting the chance to see a Horse of Constitution Hill's calibre at the races. Imagine not seeing this as a positive thing and complaining about the added prize money for the race FFS!
