I wish I had a "man at Betfair". I was once promised a Betfair mug, but still waiting 3 years on. Turns out I was the mug all along.

Why does ITV Racing not do 'live' phone-in? I think it will brighten-up the programme many folds. At the moment apart from Adele the rest are non-watchable. Let's hope the return of Ms Cumani adds a bit of fizz into the programme.

ITV Racing do not do a live phone in……in case imbecile123 calls in and makes the show even more of an embarrassment!

aye the Excel was one they always 'targeted' aceform... did they not win it with Fish+Chips one year ? Won it 3 consecutive years in 80s Free Guest/Fish N Chips/ and Chinoiserie. Stablemate Celestial Storm went off short price fav i think for Chinoiseries race. |

Chris Dixon on the Racing channel did not ask any awkward questions when interviewing the miscreant
By:
mrc..
Chris Dixon (and his ilk) will NEVER ask any awkward Q's... he's part of the industry... more chance of Man U winning next years EPL title tbh. |

The horseracing presenters have no shame. The named jockey slammed his car into a tree badly injuring a young lady passenger; he also refused to give a specimen to the police when requested. Yet, these presenters at ITV Racing and those at the course will not ask the jockey concerned (he's been named in the newspapers) about the latest on his lady passenger, and why the jockey has not given a specimen to the police.
These presenters are spineless; their silence has been bought! |
By:
impossible...
if you haven't known for years they are spineless i have no idea what you've been listening to tbh. |

Chamberlain doesn’t hide tbf….
By:
This is when we need McCririck or Clare Balding. They are not afraid to ask prudent and impertinent questions about horseracing.

Pay attention when a fancied one is beaten……big Ed. “ what happened there guys “…..

fairly obvious Murphy has agreed to interviews as long as crash isn't mentionedf so instead of ITV.ruk telling him to shove they've spoiled themselves by interviewing him and ignoring racings big story of the week, despite mentioning it earlier

It’s a little quirk in the innocent until proven guilty system.
So registered alcoholic mounts pavement drunk, kills 3 kids. He’s over the limit, bailed to attend court, but the next day does the same again, because he’s technically innocent till his court date. Surely ,over the limit,or failure to provide, should mean, instant ban ,which can be deducted from court ban, like being on remand. Some people are held on remand for months, years, then the case is dropped,it’s just tough.they can’t do anything. So surely,a instant driving ban could be done, and if it turns out ,not guilty, then tough. |
By:
People on here castigating presenters for failing to grill oisin about his private life . Why should they ? It's a racing programme . He is erudite when discussing his mounts and their races . That's what the people who watch the programme want to hear .
You lot should buy the rags to get your vicarious thrills and not expect them on a racing programme |
By:
In this case a failure to provide a specimen when requested by Police after a motor accident is as good as guilty without bar a court appearance and adjudication. As such, I think an immediate ban on driving ought to be automatic and legally valid.
By:
Fullset, you seem very keen to protect a driver resposible for putting a young girl in hospital with a broken back, the driver has already committed an offence in the laws eyes by refusing to give a sample so why the bha are allowing him to still ride is beyond me.
By:
BHA,nothing to do with them.
By:
The law is at fault here.
What if he crashes again tomorrow, kills someone, then refuses to provide. Most people are suspended from jobs etc, until investigation completed, drink driving is black and white, over or under, failure to test is classed as over, There is no defence in court, unless faulty equipment ,weird dna etc. Like I said about remand, should be instant ban, then that time should be included within the ban.for the very odd case it’s overturned, then ,tough |
By:
I think there's the safety and integrity aspect of the jockey's action. The jockey concerned has a history of substance and drink abuse. His work involves riding horses at high speed which is definitely a safety issue, to his fellow jockeys; his repeated transgression of substance and drink abuse contravenes integrity, judgement and responsibility of a fit and proper person in his profession.
As such, I think horseracing presenters should ask impertinent but relevant questions pertaining to his motor incident where a female passenger was injured, and his refusal to provide a specimen when requested by Police. |
By:
Penzance,so if he was arrested for raping a trainers child,it’s not to do with bha, innocent till proven guilty etc, nothing to do with racing.
At what point does private life impact on public life, giving it’s a tv sport. |
By:
Maybe each case should be on merit.
So yes,1 jockey slightly over limit,no crash, can carry on. But history of this, plus crash. |
By:
Unless he fails a breathe test on track they can't stop him riding.
Just like if it happened to a brickie,it's nothing to do with work, he will still be able to lay bricks. |
By:
BHA,nothing to do with them.
That doesnt surprise me given the vast amount of differing authoritys, so who is ultimately responsible for allowing him to ride on.?? |
By:
But brickies don’t lay bricks on itv ,whilst Matt chapman swoons over his technic with the trowel
By:
Chapman getting stick on social media for not speaking out. I'm the very last person to back him up in anything but I understand where he's coming from when he says they can't say anything as it's a police investigation.
By:
But he rides horses at speed competitively in a confined area in public which is a hazard in itself similar to driving a car on a public road whilst under the influence of drink or an illegal substance
By:
.... So it is the BHA then. ??
By:
Plus they can’t breathilise him cos of his piles
