I heard from my medic friend their radiologists are very concerned about how AI could affect their livelihood soon. A re-training is almost a necessity given the power of AI.

What is it with the cream of jockeys in this game
Eddery - raging alcoholic Cauthen - alcoholic Swinburn - alcoholic Murphy - alcoholic Dettori - sniffer/hates paying dues Piggot - hates paying dues. I get that starving for a career means you might hanker for summat to fill the void, like a drink or some sniff to help keep the weight off etc. They are such little fellas someone should tell them their bodies can only take shandy. Don't ride in France if you like sniff Two pieces of advice to any jockey starting out. |

Hope the girl is okay. A rep from the Oisin's corner will no doubt pay her a visit

|
By:
You forgot to mention Fallon….the choir boy…..
|
|
By:
He cannot have much between his ears.
|
|
By:
He cannot contact the girl, bail condition.Girls father influential

I'd say she had a couple of shots in her mouth when they kissed and thats how he got the extra alcohol into him.

You forgot to mention Fallon….the choir boy….. Good one Johnny Murtagh also had top job at Coolmore. Booze Richard Hughes. Booze These are the absolute cream of the profession. |

Struggling to do the weight and eating less means alcohol affects them more
|
|
By:
Similarly medics. Maybe the jockeys and medics could try fobt eg slots.

It's out. The Racing Post has printed it. A 20yr old female is seriously injured, and the jockey refused to provide a specimen for analysis. Scum jockey!
|
|
By:
I hope the jockey if riding in the Guineas at Newmarket will be replaced by connections. Not to provide a specimen when asked by the police is not in keeping with good character required for horseracing. His female companion in the car sustained serious imjury.
Chicken sh1t jockey! |
|
By:
3 rides at Nottingham today, a blank day for him.
|
|
By:
Murphy appears to have a big problem he hasn't overcome - refusing to provide doesn't bode well, and his Brief will need to be on form to get him a lenient penalty (if guilty). https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/19893251/oisin-murphy-i-was-drunk-10-hours-a-day/

Smiling at owners and trainers meanwhile the woman is seriously injured in hospital….
Strange mindset tbh….. Who is the woman’s father ? Hopefully not the black silks with yellow cap…..strange bunch imv.. |
|
By:
it's up to the owners/trainers to put an end to the charade aceform...
unfortunately most of them don't really care about their jockeys private lives... that's horse racing for you. |
|
By:
Doesn’t he date the owners daughter….maybe it wasn’t her in the car..
|
|
By:
no idea who he dates or what he gets up to (apart from what i've seen in the public domain) aceform...
and i've no idea who the lassie in the car is... but if trainers/owners accept all the nonsense that has been in the public domain then it's a poor show imv... if i was an owner he wouldn't ride for me i know that much. |
|
By:
Exactly….
|
|
By:
Look at Tom Marquand they way he goes about his life, his manners and how he is with the public..
Quality guy when you look at past and some of the present…. |
|
By:
couldn't agree more aceform...
if you look at his twitter page you can see pics of him and Hollie at the races 'giving a bit back' to the public... none of this growling and groaning every time someone says 'can i have a pic Tom ?'... and i get the strong impression that is how they really are btw... he's headed for dizzy heights that lad aceform... if he doesn't end up in Ireland i'd be astonished tbh. |

Didn't one of the Chuckle Brother die?

?
Zzzzzz it’s Einstein… |

By:
Jockeys are a strange breed.
Two champions committed suicide. Fred Archer and Doug Smith. And as has been said a lot of very heavy boozers. Mainly got out of hand when they retired though. Murphy SHOULD have another 20 years at the top,but the way he's going.... |

Jeepers, there are a lot of haters on this thread who obviously all live perfect lives.
It is as if some of the posters have never got dunk, never sampled colombian marching powder and never made a bad judgement call in their lives. Wow. We are all human and fortunately most of us dont live our lives in a goldfish bowl with various of the worlds media peering in. I don't condone drink driving, people can get killed, so it is an incredibly stupid and selfish act which will have consequences for which I am sure he will be punished. But some of the rhetoric on here is over the top. Some posters appear to have been appointed judge , jury and executioner, while revelling in the misfortune of others. He's a good jock, better than most but he obviously has some difficult issues to work through. He's not a bad person and as for some of you asking what sort of owners would still have him riding for them after this etc. Why wouldn't an owner still employ him to ride for them ? Poor chap had a drink problem as do lots of the public and many jocks past and present, and it may still be an issue for him. Hardly a paedophile, or an axe murderer is he. 20 years ago a friend of mine got stopped and breathalysed and requested a blood sample but plod refused. He got done for failing to provide a speciman and got a 2year ban, so those of you on here shouting for incarceration are maybe a long way off the mark. I am just amazed how vitriolic a few of the people are on here. Unkind even. If I see someone fall over I go and offer a helping hand, not walk past and mock them. . |
|
By:
Not had perfect lives but it is striking that the very cream in the sport were alcoholics.
When it comes to crashing cars and putting people's lives at risk then anyone is fair game if they were over the limit Bloody apologists, I sh1t em |
|
By:
Two words
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY |
|
By:
Didnt Murphy ride when covid restrictions said he shouldn't?
What's he blame that on? Bottom lip comes out and the sycophants fall over themselves. Jesus. |
|
By:
Hate is a strong word careful with it,certainly no hate from this end tbh……the person is surrounded with fellow riders who live a decent life and don’t abuse the system…and are free from dirt in their system during their career…
They certainly don’t deserve someone next to them who has issues or worse…. |
|
By:
i ain't unkind i know that much...
i praised Tom and Hollie earlier on... i don't have time for these folk who have the world at their feet and go down the drink/sniff sniff road... i don't understand owners/trainers who keep supporting these kind of people... i certainly wouldn't... maybe if folk stopped supporting people like that it would shake them up a bit and actually understand that ain't the way to live your life ? never been one for the whole 'let's give him a hug' scenario tbh. |
