Same here Hibore & massive drift in Mares. Stable money for Jade De Grugy?
By:
where is the news posted of her running i cant see it?

By:
Connections just announce Golden Ace most likely going for the Mares. Pricewise Segal gave it as the bet in that race on preview night last night.
By:
Amazing from Segal. Can't imagine that loads of people might just have put it up for the Mares' - at a bigger price - at the start of the season. Taken him nearly a year to catch up. Where was Segal when all and sundry were saying she doesn't stay and should drop back in trip? Nowhere.
The news was available yesterday, and has just be rehashed as fresh by the Racing Post. |

Lossiemouth
She's been very good, and it was unfortunate what happened that day [when she fell in the Irish Champion Hurdle] as it was shaping up to be a good race and then it was a bit of a damp squib as State Man probably just loitered a bit on his own out in front. She started off slow at Christmas [when runner-up to Constitution Hill] but I think that's because in the past 18 months her races have been two-and-a-half-mile events and in the Hatton's Grace it was a crawl and she probably thought she was going to do the same again - she didn't know she was in a fast two-mile race and it took her a bit of time to get into gear. What I liked was that she didn't fade out of it and was doing her best work at the end. She'll be a lot sharper for Cheltenham and the plan for the last two years has been for the Champion Hurdle and I'd imagine that's where she'll go. We still have her in the Mares' Hurdle but at this point in time it's about the Champion Hurdle for her. She likes Cheltenham and that's a huge advantage. It might be a blessing in disguise that [since Kempton] we now know we need to sharpen her up before those two-mile events. The speed is there and we just need to get it out of her. |

State Man He won the Irish Champion Hurdle but it was sort of a non-event because Lossiemouth fell and he had disappointed at Christmas when Brighterdaysahead was very good and just jumped out and went. She probably caught this fella on the wrong foot on the day. I think he'll be a lot better coming back to Cheltenham - he's a Champion Hurdle winner defending his title. He probably hasn't had the best preparation this year but I'm happy he's in good shape and will give a good account of himself. In the Irish Champion Hurdle, he looked fine in the race and Paul was very happy sitting in behind Lossiemouth. He was lucky he didn't get caught up in that [Lossiemouth fall] when you look at the head on. He was lucky he didn't get an injury as so many times when a horse turns upside down like that they injure the horse coming behind them. He escaped all that and seems in good order. We're hoping he can reproduce his best form, and he will probably need it with the form Constitution Hill is in. |

Lossiemouth is not a 2-miler; the horses she beat in The Triumph had been proven very mediocre. Also, she was taken off her feet at Kempton by Constitution Hill; she'll be strip-fitter so will the others. I believe but for her trainer and owner (she missed her chance last year) she'll run in The Mares instead; Mr Mullins has no silver bullet this year.

I think comparing Kempton with Cheltenham is like chalk & cheese impossible. This is going to be run @ one helluva pace so the winner will need bags of stamina as well as speed. Evertime Lossie has run @ Cheltenham 3 shes been swinging on the bit all the way round. I could understand your argument if the CHampion Hurdle was @ Kempton .But it aint.
By:
Lossiemouth is overpriced imo. Loves the track and has been in ‘bootcamp’ she will be thereabouts imo.
By:
Agree Eric no way C.Hill should be 4/5 and Lossie 7s and im a massive C.Hill fan. Maybe its because some still believe she will be switched to Mares.
By:
If brighterdaysahead goes for the champion she should def go for the mares hurdle.
I really like Lossie and think she wins the mares easily. In Champion Hurdle she will have BDA, State man and the goat CH. Think she can beat State Man, would just fancy her slightly over BDA (market says she is behind BDA). But CH is different gravy and I think he wins easy. So why take them all on? |
By:
i reckon Lossiemouth will finish ahead of Brighterdaysahead on the track in the Champion. All down to Constitution Hill retaining past ability as to who wins.
By:
The Irish will surprise a few as per..
I can see another meeting of hung drawn and quartered for the Uk…..again…. |
By:
I believe but for diplomacy I think Mr Mullins would have run Lossiemouth (Ricci) against State Man (Donnelly) in 2024 Champion Hurdle; Sir Gino and Shishkin - both owned by the Donnellys - were denied runs at Cheltenham 2024 courtesy of Hendo.
By:
once the stable staff know where lossie is going one of the prices will collapse in seconds . happened before and will again with such a huge operation involving so many people .
By:
Alot of good judges think she wins the ch next week. Chelt stiff finish helping. She is my bet in the race
By:
I’m on Lossiemouth as well. 7/1 is just too big.
By:
As long as there's 8 runners the bet has to be e/way i'd have thought , if she's 7/1 the exchange will be a long way shorter than 2.4 a place that's for sure.
By:
Classic Mullins to get it to peak for Cheltenham. Very attractive price.
By:
I would have fancied her last year, but they wanted State Man to have his one Champion Hurdle. This year she should beat him, but I think that's the limit of her aspirations. I can see her getting too far adrift.
By:
It's a disgrace that less than a week till the championship week in our sport , and we still don't know where many top horses will be running . David Jennings' article in Saturdays RP is spot on .
By:
Lossie left in both?? Why .@ least BDA has been taken out.
By:
precaution i think il est francais trainer said he will also be left in both re ground opponents etc
By:
it does give you a bit more mileage trading it though geoff m :)
By:
From a personal perspective it does but for the wider good of the sport should be cut off @ 5 day stage. I think David Jennings stated Springwell Bay is still entered in 6 races @ the festival. Madness. Is for the good of the Bookmakers with there appaling NR no bet prices.
By:
others left in are Golden Ace and Ballyburn
By:
agree hayden...but you want townend riding to be taking 7/1 e/w imo
By:
those putting the stopper on the back side in the Champion ready to push Lossiemouth out and in for the Mares could you also lengthen Golden Ace a bit in the Mares so i can get on please. Make it a bit more realistic market thanks in advance.
By:
8 will do
By:
Agree wonders but anyone backing it to win i'd be more than happy to suggest they back it e/way and i'll take the place part of the bet , if 8 runners.
