Past achievements i'd guess would be identifying cash discrepancies under a tenner , now entered a new world and totally exposed.

Now i know what a rabbit dodging headlights actually looks like.

GG, you 1409 post is spot on
But if you refused to sign it, surely they'd think we better have a closer look at this person?

So, if you have actually done it, but you're now being offered for the guilty verdict to be quashed and get 600k on top... With a very small chance of them ever re-finding you guilty, by which time the money is long gone....

Not a difficult decision, imo

Only watched two episodes AngryAngry, if you didn't know it was true it would be too far fetched to be believable.

put a speed camera up, catches nobody for 18 months then one day records 500 motorists speeding, none of whom have previously had any points on their licence.

do you

a) assume the machine has gone nuts or

b) assume everyone just decided to start speeding past it on the same fkng day

Those feeding from the Post office's trough dared not rock the applecart for fear of being professionally ostracised or they were complete morons. But, the latter could not be possible as they were highly paid, highly qualified, powerful and experienced; David vs Goliath.

The desire for money is the root of all evils. The self-interests by the Post Office's management team precede others. I thought the scandal at Enron was diabolical, the Post Office's many multiples of Enron.

Wouldn't you just love having had this guy Alan Bates on your side in the trenches.  Cool, unflappable, durable, absolutely determined and ready to stick it where it hurts.
What a man.

100% roggrain in fact in evidence today with Stephen Bradshaw some subpostmasters were offered reduced charges if they accepted there was no problem with Horizon!

Yes, there are plenty of scandals out there which only a few people know about which need the TV treatment.

Will Ms Paula Vennells be called to give evidence to the Post Office inquiry? I hope so, and the entire Board of Directors to establish how much and what they knew the Horizon Software was not fit-for-purpose.

25 years this been going on fook all done about it , then its put on tv and the whole country sees it and realise this is what goes on and these khoonts at the top are screwing the ordinary man /woman right over on a daily basis , then as if by magic the government cant wait to stick their oar in and set the wheels in motion and come to the rescue of the postmasters and this is done within a week of the programme being aired !

The Post Office investigator looks and sounds like a thug from the East End. He was accused of bullying and intimidating behaviour by two sub-postmistresses yet he denied both.

No wonder with investigators like him this scandal has gone on so long. The injustice was too far gone to be turnaround at the Post office end; Post Office buried their head in the sand until ITV came along.

How stupid is that?

The Post Office tried to change the storyline of Mr Bates vs The Post Office, the man behind the hit ITV drama, right, has told The Londoner. Producer Patrick Spence said that when he approached Post Office execs with the dramatisation they offered to cooperate in exchange for script amendments. “What they offered to do was to change our story to suit their purposes,” Spence told us. “They were obviously keen to change the narrative, but we had our facts and they couldn’t stop us.”

The script relies heavily on public documents and emails written by Post Office employees, including the CEO at the time of the Horizon scandal, Paula Vennells, pictured. Spence said the Post Office was “so litigious and ghastly that we couldn’t take the risk of inventing anything for fear that they would stop it from being transmitted”.

Exactly Foyleswar, and call me skeptical but I can't help think this might have a lot to do with it being an election year and the 2 leaders of the main opposition being potentially implicated in it.

ITV despise the Tories, how do we think the Government persuaded them to commission and produce
a drama in short order?

Ok so did you know Sunak’s father-in-law is a founder of Infosys which made him a multi-billionaire and Sunak’s wife richer than the Queen? Not many do.

Read this and you will see why Sunak has got involved in British government.

You can never have too much money i guess.

The mainstream media will NEVER let you know Sunak’s family connections and their possible benefit from taxpayer funded IT contracts.

‘In just over one year Rishi Sunak has given £3.6bn to Fujitsu, in the 3 years before that they only got £1.3bn.

RT if Fujitsu need to pay the sub-postmasters compensation and Rishi Sunak and Infosys's dealings with Fujitsu need to be laid bare.’

‘For the moment, let’s consider other possible reasons Fujitsu may be kept out of the spotlight.

Principle among these must be the firm’s working relationship with Infosys, the corporation owned by Rishi Sunak’s father-in-law, in which his wife has shares.

Is it really a coincidence that the following has happened?’

This is like covid, brexit ect ect, just being used as a tool by the mendatious.

I have tried to follow the plot but until about an hour ago I have not heard any tangible evidence of what was being alleged.

This Bradshaw guy says he was investigating missing payments made as cash (I presume) not recieved by charities and Bradshaw suggests that the money was never processesd  by the post offices

.

So for me that's theft and whether the money was used to cover other shortages created by a faulty system is neither here nor there imo.

What other folks were not receiving payment?

Bradshaw says they (post masters) stole charitable donations.
