Ruud flip flopped from 1.2 , out of that one now.

well done Hayden...
sounds like a decent trade there... good to see Rybakina digging in last night when she probably would have folded a year or two back... but that first serve really is vital for her going forward... didn't like what i saw from Swiatek... i think she visited her dark side last night which is always a worry with her... no doubt her travelling psychologist will be busy over the next few days. |
|
By:
Yes great day yesterday with albeit only 3 trading games , Swaitek very low lay was great with the payout due to completion of one set rule.
See what today brings , just finalising which games as we speak ![]() |
|
By:
no lassies games today so just watching today Hayden...
tonights game looks a good one tbh. |
|
By:
fair drift on Medvedev here Hayden...
interesting. |
|
By:
Think it's down to a few things Hib , on reflection the initial tissue was too short , opponent in good form , as with other top potential slam winners RG is just around the corner , they've never met so nothing concrete to match against and Medvedev is far more beatable on clay than the road surfaces.
We'll see but should be good and a tough call. |
|
By:
not one i could really comment on tbh Hayden...
not clued up enough on the mens game... looks like it could be an interesting one for in running players tho. |
|
By:
I'd probably add one more note of caution for any lumping on Medvedev , he beat Zverev last round dropping 8 games but they detest each other so it may have taken an awful lot out of him , that said we'll see.
|
|
By:
Errani been on the list for a couple of years , she's just flip flopped from 1.25 , not as much liquidity as you'd like sometimes on the Challenger circuit but enough to make it worthwhile.
|
|
By:
Got a 1.14 lay of Medvedev but looks like a stroll at the moment.
Cornet the only list player still to come today so will follow that later. |
|
By:
i never look at those tournaments tbh Hayden...
will maybe start doing so coz the horses are a complete and utter waste of time for me now... got the Medvedev game on but not really watching it tbh... sounds like the early layers got a bit over excited when laying him in the early 1.3s... mind you they maybe took a pre-game profit tbf. |
|
By:
Challengers always worth a look Hib as a lot more tanking goes on , as with horse handicaps it's the lower grade the better for me and the strategies.
Would in general rather get involved in a Challenger event than a Grand Slam for the way i play it and what i want to happen. The spikes that appear in the South American Challenger events are unreal at times. |
|
By:
cheers Hayden...
will keep an eye on it... i've got 30 days of horses to go and then it's finito time for me. |
|
By:
Kudermetova 1.61 v Kalinina 2.6...
personally it's a 50/50 game imv... maybe 1.9 v 2.1 but 1.61 the Russian is too short imv... Rybakina 1.72 v Ostapenko 2.36... again i'd have it in the 50/50 category or maybe Rybakina a slight favourite but not 1.72... two good games to watch tho. |
|
By:
Interesting day for sure with two all list affairs....
Rybakina vs Ostapenko Errani vs Bouchard Also will be watching the Cornet game closely later Will give some pre-match feedback Hib when i've had a bacon panini and a Latte Good luck today ![]() |
|
By:
oh sounds lovely Hayden...
fried egg and lettuce sandwich with salad cream here... followed by a slice of carrot cake. |
|
By:
Great call on Kalinina Hib win or lose from here
![]() |
|
By:
Kalinina flip flopped from 1.1 , that's why we love the WTA
![]() |
|
By:
cheers Hayden...
looked a close game on paper... could end up being a real grind job if it goes to 3 sets. |
|
By:
no doubt the rain helped Rybakina and halted Ostapenko's momentum...
better player won for sure but it was looking a bit shakey wakey at one stage... a decent trading position could gave been taken so there were opportunities for those monitoring the game closely... didn't like Ostapenko's reaction at the end... even the mild mannered Rybakina had a word with the umpire about it. |
|
By:
as for todays games...
surprised Rybakina is 1.35 v 3.75 against Kalinina... yes Rybakina favourite but i'd have her somewhere between 1.6 and 1.7 personally... also surprised at the price of Tsitsipas v Medvedev... not a huge follower of mens tennis yet but if anyone had asked me who would be a 1.73 shot i'd have said Medvedev... should be a good game tho... looking forward to both games today. |
|
By:
I think most of the semis are priced too heavily in favour of the favs. Tsitsipas you would expect to be fav v Medvedev on clay but I think the Russian gets into his head based on games I've seen and the h2h might confirm that.
I'm a big fan of Rune but this doesn't look a good match up v his Scandinavian brother and the opening 1.63 was very short looking v Ruud who's given him all sorts of problems previously. |
|
By:
both, not "most"
![]() |
|
By:
not as clued up on the mens game as i should be Platini...
the Rune game is looking tight so far tbh... all three Rome games today look good so should be an entertaining day i reckon. |
|
By:
Medvedev leads HTH 7-4 but only 1-1 on clay , hard call this one as odds suggest and Tsitsipas will need to keep his head as he's faced two consecutive players he dislikes most here in Coric & Medvedev , think it's only the surface though that makes Tsitsipas a warm fav as we'll get to see outside the clay season.
Could easily be a trade for me here especially if it gets nasty. Kalinina match expected to be a trade with all the ups and downs she's encountered in the tournament , whether the near 12 hours she's spend on court will affect her is anyone's guess , only met once in favour of Kal but this is a match up that should produce a few spikes. Agree what's been saod about the Rune vs Ruud game as we speak and will lay low the first player to hit the basement prices. Best of luck guys ![]() |

By:
Still think some of these top players will be wary of preparation for RG being so close , Rome a fantastic Masters series 1000 event but with Nadal out of the picture and Swaitek retiring injured the other day plenty of emerging talent will have their eyes on the French crown , Rune & Ruud both in the top 6 in the RG betting at the moment.
Every player would love to win Rome but they all know they need to remember how close RG is. Swaitek a great example the other night , she retired early in the 2nd set but only after the one set completion rule constituted a result on here so the 1.02 lay was ultra sweet , she now says she's fine and will be ready for Paris so makes you think the retirement was a precaution as much as an injury concern. |
|
By:
Ruud flip flopped from 1.09 , that'll do nicely.
|
|
By:
nice one Hayden.
|
|
By:
2.36 Medvedev looking big now...
|
|
By:
Nice call again Hib , with the long rain delay didn't have time to get involved trading.
Good luck tomorrow ![]() |
|
By:
cheers Hayden...
after a sloppy start Rybakina kind of got her act together and was on top when Kalinina pulled out... first serve didn't really fire but Kalinina didn't look right to me... personally i reckon the whole thing was too much for her... she always looks like she is going to burst in to tears at any moment... probably got other things on her mind tbf. |
|
By:
Rune v Medvedev looks a tough one to call imv...
1.83 v 2.24 is probably about right if you ask me... should be a good watch... hopefully the rain stays away. |
|
By:
Obviously no pre-match bet for me but feel Rune is a justifiably warm fav here , would be unfair to say Medvedev has rode his luck so far but he's faced opponents not classed as red stuff specialists and Rune will be a much tougher proposition today and may find it as comfortable as their only previous clay meeting of straight sets , as for the odds i'd make Rune around 1.6 realizing that on a hard court you'd have Medvedev the same warm fav.
Will await a trading opportunity but Rune to win for me. Best of luck Hib ![]() |
|
By:
i thought the odds were about right Hayden but if you think 1.6 Rune is more realistic then i clearly take that on board...
i'm hoping to get a good look at it anyway and as the horses are reasonably quiet i think that should be perfectly possible Hayden... Chelsea v Arsenal WSL also on which should be a good watch also... and Glasgow City v Rangers in the SWPL title decider... it's just non stop action today. |
|
By:
well played Medvedev...
probably my favourite tournament of the year outside Grand Slam events... shame it's over... hopefully i'm still here for the next one. |
|
By:
Great call Hib , had that spot on
![]() |
|
By:
i thought it was a tough one to call tbh Hayden...
i thought the pre-match odds were about right so didn't really have a fancy either way... i noticed Rune drifted so it was nearly 2.0 v 2.0 near the start... anyway next stop Paris. |
|
By:
You probably wont bother with the Men's in Geneva next week but just in case there should be plenty of shocks , played around 1500ft altitude so will take players time to adjust from this week , usually brings up some great spikes.
|
|
By:
Just to add couldn't get involved in a trade for Medvedev as it stayed a bit above the 1.25 max price far an awful long time , so match was practically over before a trade at the appropriate time , that happens with trading in that i can end up watching a match for a couple of hours with no investment , good job i love watching the sport anyway i suppose
![]() |
|
By:
you can't get involved unless your parameters are hit Hayden...
discipline is important... will keep an eye on Geneva altho i was going to take a break this week coz Paris will be a hectic two weeks... qualifying on this week so will keep an eye on that also... cheers Hayden. |
