Reporting it is Rawcliffe Road
Runs Westwards, from Garstang Road/Blackpool Lane junction in St Michaels - Beyond the Weir - alongside the River - towards the River Wyre outlet to Morecambe Bay Does not say if the full length of Rawcliffe Rod (circa 5000 metres = 3 miles) is closed, or part-closed just from one junction to another of a lesser length. |

so partner and diving expert 100% wrong
what chance have we got |
By:
Here we go, it's the partners/experts/police fault that we guessed wrong.
By:
the deep/tidal water beyond the weir is the first place they should have looked. Too much notice taken of location dog and phone. Rico & me mentioned a few times it would be quite easy to leave the dog due to metal fence and meshed to the ground fence.

By:
Did he search that part of the river?
By:
2 young girls,real shame.
By:
Sad news, anyone else think the underwater team couldn't be wrong ?? In saying that he did say in his summing up " I am 100% sure she is not in this part of the river ". ??
By:
Looking at the map it looks like the location is hundreds of metres downstream from the weir.
By:
DCI Dangle is preparing a statement.
By:
Got he impression that Faulding was referring to the Areas near the Bench, and EAST of the WEIR (Non-Tidal)
The body has been found - WEST of the WEIR (thus Tidal). |

By:

By:
has to have went in below the weir if thats where she was found..(imo)
By:
Experts, police, everybody says she's not in the river - maybe she was put in the river afterwards?? something very odd!!
By:
Rico you mean she searched this area where the road runs parallel with Rawcliffe Road ? If so retirement beckons ( unless body was recently dumped )

Autopsy will tell a hell of a lot more than the police can offer.
Could be a murder hunt on this time tomorrow. Awful day for family and friends |
By:
river runs parallel

By:
he searched miles of the river downstream...police will know by the body and waterlife etc if shes been in all along.
By:

'he searched miles of the river downstream...police will know by the body and waterlife etc if shes been in all along'
Yes very sad particularly for the Children but autopsy will tell how long she's been in there? |

Peter Blexley addressing the stay at home George Gently / Tick Tocker amateur detectives issue...
will only get worse in the future coz it makes them cash. |
By:
RIP Nicola.
Not read anything yet bar this thread. Do we know if she was found in water that had already been searched? |
By:
not sure of the relevance as yet but pic in mail online of a member of the public standing riverside pointing into a large tree/bush thats overhanging into the river..nothing else overhanging for a big distance either side.
By:
Bleksley's right. I mentioned earlier that revenue streams had to be why this case (imo ) had burgeoned out of all proportion media-wise.
I still say lessons can be learned, and must, about the handling of it. |

By:
Maybe his top of the range super duper detector is about as good as me at spotting winners.

HH , if we had been told straight away vulnerable person ( no need to mention visit/alcohol ) there would have been nothing like the media /public interest in the case. I do admit though it looks like she made it "more interesting" by leaving a loose dog and a switched on phone which looks to be the case. As I said earlier it looks like the victim as with the guy I was talking about ( "neil dovestones" ) WANTED to make it something of a mystery/story.
By:
it was the george gently types that found the body despite been next to the rd plod, experts havnt found it in over 3 weeks
By:
yes ftp..again we jumping to conclusions but it begs utter belief that one large tree hanging into the river with no obstructions for hundreds of yds either side hadnt been checked.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11769017/Police-hunting-Nicola-Bulley-body-river-mile-went-missing.html |
By:
If she has been in the river for 3 weeks no wonder so many missing persons are never found.
By:
What is your theory of the significance of the - "overhanging tree" - Rico ?
