Top 10 reasons ... mental health 25.5% relationship 15.7% drugs or alcohol 13.9% depression or anxiety 12.7% suicide attempt 5.9% dementia 5.5% misunderstanding 4.8% other medical 2.9% financial 2.3% employment 1.9%
foul play less than 1.9% i.e. it's very unlikely and further there is no evidence to support it |

Self righteous and hypocritical media to blame for the merry go round, not the police.
By:
I do blame the police. They didn't have to mention the visit or alcohol but if they had said vulnerable person early on there would have been nothing like the public interest. We thought it was a happy middle class couple with two kids and a pedigree dog and the "wife vanishes into thin air " on her regular dog walk in a lovely village. Reality quite a bit different and because of the way it's panned out the "spotlight " has turned to the "mystery man " boyfriend.

By:
has another man been menchunned?
By:
We thought it was a happy middle class family and a woman who had no reason to disappear from the media and the family. The police just said they thought she was in the river.

I'm just talking about Paul. We know next to nothing about him. Even after all this time no male friends have spoken ? Of course if this had never taken off the way it has we wouldn't be interested in him or the case. But it's odd combined with the stuff he came out with in interviews which turned out inaccurate at best.
By:
It's damn rude of the police imo to not put everything they know into the public domain - how do they expect all you arm chair sleuths and the weirdos/nutters on twitter and TikTok to help them solve the case, if they won't share all of the details.

It isn't just the police being furtive though. Don't the gym and his mates elsewhere want to say what a nice guy he is and wish him good luck ? Seems not. |
By:
And not a bad looking guy good grooming. Anything from previous girlfriends ?

If I'd been living with an unstable menopausal alcoholic for a while I might feel qualified to judge his manner.

saddo - are you looking for a wife swap?

I'm just talking about Paul. We know next to nothing about him --Well we know the police and family don't think he had anything to do with it. Far too much evidence to the contrary to think he could be involved.
By:
maybe he got a gym buddy to do the deed.
By:
"We know the police don't think he had anything to do with it." We don't know what the police think and that is the only certainty here.
By:
I think it is pretty obvious they think she was in the river.

I am giving this thread a miss from now on so best wishes to all. Nothing to be gained by this distraction. Hope she is found safe and well. |

People can be pushed into deep water...and you can pay others to do it. Not saying that is what did happen but someone found in a river it's not certain to be suicide. And no body has yet been found in river or sea

By:
I agree Howard but the police said on numerous occasions they didn't think anyone else was involved. Personally I think they are wrong but I just can't see the partner involved.
By:
..."but I just can't see the partner involved." Interested in your reason/s for this.
By:
Because he would have been suspect no1 from the start particularly in light of the police going to the house 2 weeks before. The police and the family have stuck their necks out to say he wasn't involved and not one derogatory report has come out about the guy in 3 weeks. Nothing is impossible but it looks very unlikely to me.
By:
he wasn't directly involved, on the morning he made sure the cameras showed her going off, he was on-line etc, that doesn't mean he wasn't indirectly involved.
By:
No, too many witnesses and too much cctv and other digital evidence.
By:
all very odd and very sad.

Honcho "the police said on numerous occasions they didn't think anyone else was involved. Personally I think they are wrong but I just can't see the partner involved."
So you think there were offender/s but nothing to do with partner ? It would almost certainly have needed 2 men to deal with her quietly. What's their reward ? Two sexual offenders sounds nearly as far fetched as UFO. |
By:
anyone got an opinion on Julia faustyna?
By:
I don't understand all the speculation myself. She clearly hasn't been pushed into the river. She's just a missing person of which there are thousands and all the evidence and statistics point to one thing. She killed herself.
By:
One thing's for sure. If she is found in the river/sea we will never believe these search experts again. So if we rule that out the only other possibility is help to get away. But like the hitmen that are working for free you need another nutter with no motive to commit a serious crime.
By:
Clydebank , how did she travel to another location without being seen or do you think she will be found in river/sea ?

I don't think the husband is involved, I don't think she committed suicide but that doesn't mean she is still alive ( I hope she is). |

"I have said in a number of posts that she left that area voluntarily. I don't think the husband is involved, I don't think she committed suicide but that doesn't mean she is still alive ( I hope she is)"
So she left that area voluntarily. Didn't commit suicide but could well be dead. ![]() |

There's no evidence of foul play at all. No sign of a struggle, no cctv footage, no screaming. And barely any missing people are actually kidnapped or killed in any event. If she slipped into the river there prolly would be some evidence of either her slipping in or trying to get out, and she'd have prolly been found. What's left? She ran away without the dog following her and anyone or cctv noticing her and continues to hide without coming forward or anyone noticing her. Or, the obvious conclusion, a woman with mental health issues killed herself by drowning. Which just reminds me, one of my great grandfathers committed suicide by jumping in The Rhine.

By:
if she had jumped in intentionally around the bench area,as peter faulding stated when he searched that area,if she went in there she would still be in that vicinity as the river had little flow/movement as the wier which is just around that u-bend in the river from the bench area prevented it..he ruled that out, but,i wondered how the dog was still beside the bench when found and hadnt followed her...but,she could have left the way she came from and left the dog trapped other side of the metal revolving gate and walked back over the main road and went any amount of miles on foot toward the sea...or been picked up at the road...

So she left that area voluntarily. Didn't commit suicide but could well be dead. Crazy -- Well of course she could have left with someone or o her own and come to some harm at a later date. Not sure why you feel the need for for the silly imogie, your behaving like a prat. |

By:
Running away requires some planning. Crazy plan.... I'll take a work conference call, the dog out for a walk, expertly analyse local CCTV, and make it look like I've drowned. You wouldn't take the call and you wouldn't take the dog. Suicide is often impulsive.
By:
maybe her mystery boyfriend picked her up in his boat and sailed her to his barge.Maybe she is living with her mystery boyfriend on a barge and she plans to escape to anoth country far away?
By:
i still say the key to which way she left was the dog trapped at the bench side of the metal gate...
By:
but ive also sed from day 1 that if suicide was planned when she left the school i just cant fathom why she'd feel the need to log into a works conference call muted with no video...absolutely pointless.

That bit definitely has a bit of a theatrical feel to it. Like something out of Jonathan Creek.
If you didn't want to speak to anyone, there are a good few ways to achieve that (eg the off button/flight mode) without needing to make everything look like it's perfectly normal.... |
