Maybe Kenbo but in the unlikely event she is found alive I doubt she will be anything other than a complete mess. I doubt in her condition she would be rational. Now if she turned up on a yacht in the Med with a fancy man that would be different. I think any person willingly leaving her family in this way is either callous or very messed up. I go for the latter.

According to charity Missing People .... Approx 6,000 adults still missing a week after going missing every year.  In adults, up to eight out of 10 cases are linked to undiagnosed mental health issues, while three in 10 are linked to relationship breakdowns.

The police will have known almost from the get go that this was likely a suicide.

All the resources and attention on 1 of the 6,000 missing adults or 4,000 missing children still missing after a week.  No mention of them

I fully agree with you. IF she’s voluntarily gone missing she would have never expected this much attention. Look at all the others who disappear each year and we have no idea about.

Voluntarily missing is the best hope for this case. Every other option looks bad news.

If a case goes viral in the media, it shouldn't mean vast amounts of resources should be used to solve it, to the detriment of other missing people.  Resources are limited and should be used fairly, but with the main criteria being chance of success.

it is their own fault though. If they'd said something like 'vulnerable, worried about her state of mind ' from the start. The social circus would've never started and they wouldn't be forced to disclose the more intimate details they did - which has clearly cost them their jobs.

That is the case. Even Elvis wouldn't have got this much coverage. BUT having seen the way the coverage was snowballing either her and someone else would surely have taken the opportunity to end it long before now. It's massive odds-on suicide OR plan gone wrong ( for her )

If a story like this one becomes the major one of the week then in my experience there's a massive one what they want to divert away from the people, the real story has been running for months but is gathering pace so diverts are thick and fast.

sky/council/martin brunt this morning
river 15 yds wide 2ft deep at the sides then say its 25FT deep in the middle other than a hole is that even possible to go from 2ft deep to 25ft deep inside 10 yds
and the bloke with sonar gear never mentioned anywhere near 25ft deep
surely fishing club/council would have riverbank signs warning people if that river besides a public footpath was anywhere close to been 25ft deep

How long has that been there ?
Mind you organisations have to cover health and safety aspects. So a fishing club would have to put up such a warning( even if the water was only 2 feet deep in reality)

there is an old sign on tree next to bench saying danger deep water..but if your familiar with slow moving rivers,as an angler i am..all rivers have shallow stretches and deeper stretches but as ftp says..it cant be 2-3ft deep and sides and 25ft deep as the clown said on sky news 3yds further out.

Don't bother watching the whole SkyNews video 'recreation' with Kay Burley, and the other bloke - as it comes across as more about her/them than Nicola.

They then meet a bbloke called - Ron - and unassuming retird type bloke who claims that he found Nicola's phone on the Bench.

He says in the interview ... "I got to this red brick building, here. and thought - Something is not right here"

I now ask -

How could he SEE the Phone on the Bench FROM the "red brick building"? ....

That building is too FAR AWAY, surely.

This is a picture from the red-brick building to the Bench  (rotate the picture to the right, and you will soon see the red-brick building)

https://www.google.com/maps/@53.8641396,-2.8143139,3a,75y,203.96h,84.91t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipMxSgeLvZndBgwy0Q24rQj9fherAMmRK5JVeydM!2e10!3e11!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipMxSgeLvZndBgwy0Q24rQj9fherAMmRK5JVeydM%3Dw203-h100-k-no-pi-0-ya30.115206-ro-0-fo100!7i6912!8i3456

The Caravan Park can also be clearly seen behind the Tree/Bushes top middle of the Picture.
----------------

Another video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-e8uT3gYbM

- better - if not long-winded video - posted by Greg-Gory on page 21 -

- says something different - in that - at 20 minutes onwards (with the crucial highlight at 21 minutes) that a/this man saw ..... "the Woman from the Caravan Park" tying Willow up to the Bench

Who did find the PHONE?

Ron - The Man in the SkyNews video - or the Woman from the Caravan Park?
-----------

Whippin Piccadilly will now, more than likely, be back on this Thread with his Negative Trip Adviser quotes about - The Woman at the Caravan Park, from earlier in the Thread - surely.

- and - from looking at the scene simply geographically, much earlier - I, too, homed in straight away on the Caravan Park and Allotment Lane as being absolute favourites for an non-river disappearance/departure route.

Could anybody see a Mobile Phone flat on a Bench at THAT Distance?

what happens first?

1. She is found dead or alive.
2. Someone is arrested and charged.

Of course there could be a 3. Neither                       My guess 2.
