Standing naked in front of BF had to have been an intimidation tactic by RD. Just reading the posts on here of what was supposedly meant to have happened, i would favour Bryonys version of events over Robbies.

would frost invite cobbden as a character witness, are their more out there
how many more before you might side with dunnes side of argument who threatened to break dunnes legs on frost behalf |

I thought the Jocks were allocated a peg, in the weighing room, according to seniority, in which case, with a ten year age gap, it would seem unlikely that they would normally change alongside each other.

2 races mentioned,the Southwell race and 1 @Stratford
last July, when they were on Wisecracker(Frost) & Cillians Well (Dunne). The Stratford race he did ride up to her after the race and say something it seems (right at the end of the SL replay). The Southwell race,Cillians Well went through the top of the fence and fell,I can't see what Frost did wrong in both races meself. |

I'm not saying Bryonys ridng is exemplary, but the consensus on here say that it wasn't her fault when Dunnes horse fell. [havent seen the race myself].
You can have a shower and get dressed without showing everyone your equipment. If someone in the Frost camp issued threats to Dunne, i would say it wasn't done without good reason. |
|
By:
So it's Dunne's fault for being naked in a changing room and thus it's okay to threaten to break his legs.
Unbelieveable |
|
By:
doesnt bother me either way but context is everything here
its when she was getting rides ,if she,d won KG 2 months earlier we wouldnt be hearing anything about this ,everything would be hunky dory, she must be pretty unpopular this has shocked those outside racing but not many inside racing rushing to bury RD,that could change of course |
|
By:
If this intimidation had been going on in front of other jocks then shame on them for not stepping in and doing something, unfortunately for Frost, she does not seem to have the same respect from within as Blackmore who is far more understated, after a big race win Frost's ebullient disposition seems to rub people up the wrong way and this has undoubtedly contributed to her lack of support from within but of course it does not excuse it.
Never mind phone calls threatening to break his legs, why wasn't her old man right in his face putting him straight? |
|
By:
I would not be surprised if Dunne made up the threat about breaking his legs as he knew his actions made him look bad however I suppose that makes me just as bad as some of the posters on here.
|
|
By:
frost should have a weighing room full of people to verify her side
and RD should have a phone record of the text pretty basic stuff, if their in a position where they cant believe a word one or the other or both say |

you are a moron^

Cant help thinking that if Bryony knew her place, kept a low profile and refused to promote herself as a bubbly and enthusiastic character with a love of horses and horse riding she would be treated with a lot more sympathy on here.
Probably true. But then, wouldn't most women be treated with more sympathy on here if they weren't women? Some imply that Bryony Frost was an "act." As someone there at the tracks, I can tell you that that is how she met the world in her green days. If that bubbly and enthusiastic front is a problem to some of the forum's riper cheeses - I can't speak for her but - I don't give a fig. |

I fully agree and if Ms Goodytwoshoos and her other female counterparts don;t like it, and the BHA don;t provide them with the the proper facilities then they should go and change in another room. Indeed, they should insist upon it, and not having done so Ms Frost should just lump it without girning and groaning and making things up. |

Seems to be a few gullible virgins on this thread who are willing to blindly accept the words of a female jockey.
I got news for you. Dunne has a better chance with BF than the stalker types on here. You pathetic fools Please god you never sit on a jury ![]() |
|
By:
They do change in another room but from what I heard some of the equipment they need is situated only in the with the male riders resulting in the women having to venture in and get what they need.

Which of the claims she has made do you believe and why?
We know there isn't any proof from independent witnesses so is it the type of language she uses that persuades you? |

The following is quite enough forme.
"Having seen a leaked copy of Watts’s 120-page report, however, the Sunday Times further alleges that Frost’s formal complaint was the culmination of a long series of incidents involving Dunne, dating back to her early days as an amateur rider. According to Frost this included obscene verbal abuse and a threat that “if you ever ****g murder [cut across] me like that again, I’ll murder you”, after a race in July last year when Dunne had also been riding Cillian’s Well. After the race on 3 September, meanwhile, she told the investigation that Dunne approached her an hour later and said: “The next time I ride against you, I promise I will put you through a wing [of a fence].” Shortly afterwards, Frost says, Dunne confirmed the threat, saying: “My problem is you ****g murder everyone and I promise you the next time we ride against each other, I am going to hurt you.” Dunne, according to the Sunday Times, was interviewed by Watts on 2 December 2020. When asked about the alleged threat, he reportedly replied: “Well, it was like, ‘I’ll put you through a wing and you’ll probably get [hurt]’, not that ‘you’ll get hurt’ but ‘If you get hurt, it’s the only way you’re gonna learn cos you’re repeatedly doing this, not that ‘I’m going to hurt you’ The BHA officials investigating Frost’s complaint against Dunne also interviewed many of their fellow jockeys and weighing room staff. Their report includes a conclusion that “there is a cultural issue in which threatening behaviour is condoned and not reported in the weighing room. It is likely that this is why it has been difficult for the BHA to gather detailed witness evidence from occupants of the weighing room.” |

It's nota question of believing one side, it's a question of resolving an allegation of serious intimidation.
The age of chivalry has passed but may I still impose on the armchair jockeys in their stained underpants to acknowledge that in a heated confrontation between a man and a woman, the woman is at a considerable disadvantage. All else follows. No doubt Robbie Dunne was expressing himself "just as he would to a bloke" without thinking of the position in which he left Bryony Frost. He has had plenty of time since then to correct himself. He has not. And the late leak can only favour his lawyers towards their goal of "no case to answer." |
|
By:
Like I said, she has made claims and Dunne disagrees with what was said. No proof.
None of the jockeys back up her claims which has been put down to the spurious excuse of culture instead of the common sense reason that the jockeys didn't back her claims because they are not backable. They don't believe her. The BF backers seem to be quick to cast aspersions on the character of Dunne and all the other jockeys simply because they want to believe BF for some reason It's the old no smoke w/o fire baloney that thank god would get laughed out of court, imo If you ever go to court and sit on a jury, don't make your mind up after hearing the charges read out by the clerk or decide you don't like the look of the accused. Dunne's family and career are going to be affected by these accusations. |
|
By:
If you choose to believe Dunne in that he did not threaten Frost in any way then I must disagree.
|
|
By:
I don't know what he said.
You seem to believe Bryony Frost's version based on what? |
|
By:
Unlike the jockeys listed upthread, we can only speculate whether the senior figure Dunne threatened to injure Frost. My hunch is that he did and the other jockeys - having heard it before in that environment, between two guys - were inclined to adhere to the pact, "what happens in the dressing room stays in the dressing room." That is a failure of responsibility. Imagine it happened to your own daughter.
