I'd make sure I kept my horses running straight into fences in the future and thus shut the ****;s gas to a peep.  That of course is IF I was your physical inferior.  I certainly wouldn't run away and tell my daddy!

No doubt Robbie Dunne could beat up Bryony Frost.

I'd make sure I kept my horses running straight into fences in the future and.

I edited the word salad, LoyalHoncho. In other words, you would accept the criticism and cringe away. Well, she is not you.

No.  You asked about a hypothetical situation and I answered you hypothetically.  You still haven't responded to my post and continue to talk about Ms Frost's allegations as if they are factual, which they are not.  They are alleged but people like you talk about them as if they are fact.  And as for cringeing? Laugh  Me cringeing to you isn't going to happen sonny, as I told you once before.  Ever.  And in case you've forgotten, I'll repeat it.  Away and lie in your pysh.
Ms Frost will reap what she has sown in my opinion.  Daddy can;t help her now, neither can her soppy media darling Chamberlin.  She has to prove her allegations.  The this will follow her around like a bad smell.

Triggering LoyalHoncho so easily augments the case.

Put him in her shoes and it reads like he would want to step outside. That is not feasible in reality. Probably more a failure of LoyalHoncho's imagination than anything else but still serves the question: What is a girl to do?

No smoke without fire .....I dont know LoyalHoncho and I dont know Dunne but from what I do know of Bryony Frost I would find her more credible than either of them, but agree the evidence of what has been said is unproven. However we can view  Bryony's jockeyship and the races in question and I've not seen her deliberately make the kind of dangerous moves we sadly see occasionally in racing. Stewards need to warn them both to be careful and indeed all jockeys, and and make every effort to keep dangerous riding tactics out of this sport. It can be a hard sport, but this kind of behaviour is not going to encourage youngsters, male or female to enter it and i would like to think senior jockeys could have done more to resolve this speedily.

It’s a pity it’s come to this & doesnt do the game any favours.heard of a few jockey grudge situations on the flat before but I’m struggling to remember any such over the sticks, always seemed to be a lot more camaraderie on that side of the sport.that it’s a male/female row makes it all the worse IMO.

Oh Dear the BHA, run by incompetent amateurs. THere is no case ,handbags at 10 paces in the changing room. The fact the case has already been leaked means Dunne's lawyers will get the case thrown out.  I get the impression Frost can be a very irritating character and all Nicholls jockeys have a bit of "win at all cost mentality about them". Dunne is probably old school,"Biddlecombe type" character who calls a spade a spade.
BHA should have had them both in 10 months ago, told them to grow up and get on with it.The fact it has took them a year to get this far says it all.

If a jockey (male or female!) has cut another jockey up I feel they are fully entitled to give them a rollicking , when they are riding half a ton of horse at 30mph! They have an ambulance following them for a reason.

The BHA's handling of the case has been a complete shambles. The case has been leaked, the BHA has referred itself to the Information Commissioner over the leak, and the BHA's chief integrity bod has left in mysterious circumstances.

As to the merits of the case, who knows? At surface level, Frost did not cause Dunne's fall at Southwell and threats (to both) are, or should be, unacceptable.

Which brings us to the PJA, whose handling of the case has also been a complete shambles. Dunne says he got a phone call threatening to break his legs and that the PJA told him to forget it. What they should have said is go to the police, which might have led to the caller being prosecuted. Of course, the police might then have wondered what it was that Dunne had said to Frost.

They probably didn't feel it was anything more than a storm in a teacup - which it probably wasn't.  Or maybe they didn't want grassed up and have to face a fitted up investigation.  There is no doubt she often lets her horses choose their own line into fences.  That is at best careless and why people keep going on about her being a girl I don't know.  What has her ( or Robbie Dunne's for that matter) sex got to do with anything?  Anyone?  Or her physique?  Again, anyone?
All we need now is her to bring the tears on at any forthcoming meeting/enquiry and that will seal the deal.  The BHA would chit themselves.
I was a big fan once.  No more.
Good luck Robbie - I think you're going to need it.

What’s this all about —->

“I recall being in the men’s changing room and he would stand in front of me naked”

Wtf?

There is an apparent culture in National Hunt racing’s weighing rooms that accepts bullying and intimidation as a normal part of a jump jockey’s job, according to a report in the Sunday Times.

The allegations have come to light after a report by a British Horseracing Authority investigator into a complaint of bullying lodged by Bryony Frost against her fellow jockey Robbie Dunne was leaked.

The existence of a potential disciplinary case involving Frost and a weighing-room colleague has been widely acknowledged within racing for many months. The BHA confirmed in a statement on Sunday that the “case is close to reaching its conclusion”.

Frost said after her success on Frodon in the King George VI Chase last December that some issues were “hard for me to chat about because there are still things that need to be sorted out”. Her comment was followed by a report in February that a dispute between Frost and Dunne centred on a race at Southwell in September 2020, in which Dunne’s mount, Cillian’s Well, suffered a fatal fall.

The Sunday Times article reports that Frost lodged a formal complaint against Dunne, alleging “bullying and intimidation in the workplace”, after an angry and abusive confrontation between the two riders after the race at Southwell on 3 September 2020. Following an investigation led by Chris Watts, the BHA’s former head of integrity, Dunne was informed in April that he faced disciplinary charges including “conduct prejudicial to the integrity or good reputation” of the sport.

Having seen a leaked copy of Watts’s 120-page report, however, the Sunday Times further alleges that Frost’s formal complaint was the culmination of a long series of incidents involving Dunne, dating back to her early days as an amateur rider.

According to Frost this included obscene verbal abuse and a threat that “if you ever ****g murder [cut across] me like that again, I’ll murder you”, after a race in July last year when Dunne had also been riding Cillian’s Well. After the race on 3 September, meanwhile, she told the investigation that Dunne approached her an hour later and said: “The next time I ride against you, I promise I will put you through a wing [of a fence].”

Shortly afterwards, Frost says, Dunne confirmed the threat, saying: “My problem is you ****g murder everyone and I promise you the next time we ride against each other, I am going to hurt you.”

Dunne, according to the Sunday Times, was interviewed by Watts on 2 December 2020. When asked about the alleged threat, he reportedly replied: “Well, it was like, ‘I’ll put you through a wing and you’ll probably get [hurt]’, not that ‘you’ll get hurt’ but ‘If you get hurt, it’s the only way you’re gonna learn cos you’re repeatedly doing this, not that ‘I’m going to hurt you’
The BHA officials investigating Frost’s complaint against Dunne also interviewed many of their fellow jockeys and weighing room staff. Their report includes a conclusion that “there is a cultural issue in which threatening behaviour is condoned and not reported in the weighing room. It is likely that this is why it has been difficult for the BHA to gather detailed witness evidence from occupants of the weighing room.”

In a statement on Sunday afternoon, Daryl Cowan, Dunne’s solicitor, said that the leak suggested that the BHA had “completely lost control” of the investigation, and that the authority had conceded that the leak could have originated from its own integrity department.

“In the light of the Sunday Times article and the serious damage this will cause my client in terms of his reputation, not to mention the prejudice that it will cause the process, it has become essential for me to make a statement on his behalf,” Cowan said.

“The BHA has completely lost control of this case. Under the BHA’s much-vaunted Judicial Panels’ Code, the case papers relevant to an investigation are, or are supposed to be, strictly confidential. We have known for some time of a leak to another national newspaper, and Mr Dunne and his family have already suffered from persistent approaches by that particular news outlet, including being doorstepped at his home.

“The piece in the Sunday Times confirms that, as suspected, all or the majority of the case papers have now been leaked into the public domain. Trial by media is always unfair, and a fair trial before a Panel after trial by media is impossible. The BHA has admitted to us that the original leak may have come from within its own integrity department, and that it has notified the Information Commissioner.”

Cowan’s statement also suggests that “the BHA has point-blank refused to give us any details whatsoever [about the leak]”, and that the regulator “has adopted a self-serving siege mentality, with a callous disregard of the welfare of my client and his family”.

The BHA said in an earlier statement on Sunday: “The Sunday Times article refers to leaked documents which are related to an ongoing investigation. In the interests of procedural fairness the BHA does not comment on the details of ongoing investigations.

“This case is close to reaching its conclusion, with directions hearings scheduled for the near future. It is an important case and one that the BHA is taking very seriously. Cases such as this may be complex and involve significant legal representation. In order to ensure fairness for all parties such procedures – including the directions hearings – must be allowed to play out in full, and in private rather than through the media.

“However, as is usual process, and in the interests of openness and transparency, the BHA would make public the details of any cases which are heard in front of its independent Disciplinary Panel, prior to any hearing taking place.”

David Walsh has an agenda to discredit racing, his previous story realted to the Jim Bolger allegations. This story is about Frost's allegations.

David Walsh also made a few schoolboy howlers which showed his complete lack of knowledge of horseracing.

one thing that surprises me is that jockeys of both sexes share the same changing rooms. that is plain wrong. surely racecourses can afford a female only changing room in 2021!!!

2017 too…probably round the time people starting get weird.

To be fair I’ve been a little tough on her with my comments on here but I had no idea she had to put up with Dunne waving his ding a ling at her constantly.

Problem is…it’s not exactly a punishable offence ie being naked in the men’s changing room…remember the BBC’s rookie error when they went into the changing room straight after the Arc and there’s Murtagh sitting there with his wang out.

Personally, if someone called me a f***king c**t I think I’d remember it word for word; wouldn’t you Spyker?

Well I'd certainly start making mental notes of when it happened and then if it was so regular that I felt bullied etc i would at the very least start making notes (in phone diary for instance) of the dates things happened. I'd also ask my friends in the weighing room to do the same. I suspect Dunne will get a ;lengthy ban and Frosts' reception in the weighing room will get errrr frostier and frostier as she has opened a whole can of worms that the BHA now has to address in totality.

all these stories only came to light when frost was struggling for rides about a year ago

I doubt if Dunne will get a ban, I think the case will collapse due to the leak and also the chief investigator has left the BHA under a cloud. Impossible for him to get a fair trial as media has already convicted him on her allegations

Agreed Mr C,the BHA have brought racing into disrepute far more than Dunne even if the allegations are true, best they could do is a verbal warning and close the case.Storm in a D cup anyway, had it been another male complaining they would have told him to grow up and shut up.imvho

The BHA is run by crusty old codgers who think the solution to any problem is to give someone a jolly good punch on the nose & send them on their way, don't cha know. That's after dining on venison & port & having extinguished their cigars & bothering to get out of their comfy armchairs. The whole sport needs a shake up like the one darts & snooker received. I know darts & snooker are not the equivalent of the sport of Kings, but the marketing & running principles would benefit. I read the WHOLE article in the Sunday Times as well as David Walsh's column. My interpretation is that there's something in it & that Dunne is not the sort of person who the BHA or you or I would invite as a guest for tiffin. I hope this is of assistance.

The bigger picture here is surely whether female jockeys are provided with a seperate changing room and male jockeys are not allowed to 'expose themselves' to them!!

If he did that then i believe that the police should be involved.

of course the million dollar question, did he do that? in a crowded jockey room there must be someone who can prove that yes/no

they normally have separate changing areas but some tracks have some communal areas where they'd cross or during covid the layouts may have been different, they are not supposed to change together or even share the same washrooms

whether 100% every track can comply not sure some older tracks may have screened off sections rather than separate rooms, once read two lasses were getting changed in a broom cupboard

but tracks in some cases are archaic re facilities, they were never designed for male/female split use, courses that have had work done will have separate changing, showers, toilets etc rather than a makeshift set up but i'd imagine covid changed some of the operations and some tracks are using cobbled together facilities that are donkeys old

Tony McCoy had a habit of doing exactly the same as Frost when he knew he was in trouble approaching the final obstacle , but he did it in hurdle races never in chases as Frost does . the video evidence is there to see go take a look
