It was always thus 37 - Jon & Skip stick up the winners and I explain why I'll be swerving them! - they stick up an unplaced selection and I join the party! - but then again I don't keep a running P&L for you or the other posters and all those losing fractions & double stake losses on the unplaced dusty ones, they add up pretty quickly imo.
The trouble is that in strict terms there is probably (on average) only about one truly utterly "filthy" EW race per week and maybe a couple more that are very "dusty", whereas if you play the mildly dusty ones and a few that you just fancy it's probably about (average) 2 or 3 races per day. That makes it a tough balance between having a tumbleweed (boring) thread with just the pure filth or playing all the dusty ones too. I can tell you for a fact that trying to do something in between those two scenarios (playing some dusty and swerving some dusty) is torturous and would likely tame a lion! GL. |

Didn`t realise, but it could be me that is the Jonah! I know exactly what you are saying TM, and with too many meetings, attracting small fields, it certainly tests the patience/discipline of most

I've posted 5 "thread bets" in 3 weeks, so I don't really have an issue with patience or discipline - I just feel a bit sorry (for any readers) at the lack of "action" - but in all honesty (bar the four of us that post on the thread) I don't think there are any readers anyway! |

Morning all - yeah it's poor fare (for this thread) today - I have got nothing and it looks like another day of snooker and a bit of Plaice laying/backing for me.
There are a couple of nice shaped NH races (17:25 & 19:15) but those aren't for me. The novice stakes and the maiden at Newcastle tonight are both interesting and mildly tempting but they're both just a too "lurky" for this thread (EW filth) imo. GL if you play. |

I started this new thread specifically for the flat, so although the 18:25 Hexham has a very appealing shape - I'm going to stick with swerving the NH racing for thread bets. GL if you play. |

Off subject TM but I'm looking at Thirsk for a possible tri-cast however even though in the only two I've done I've bagged the winner twice and a forecast the last one I did was a permutation of five at 30p which cost £18.
On reflection, as soon as I put it on I literally gave Manny's fifty nine 30ps. Not so clever when you look at it that way. |

That's very true - but you know that as soon as you abandon it boxes 1,2 & 3 will skate in 3 lengths clear of the rest of the field!
I only ever played them based on my perception of the draw (hopefully exacerbated by the going) - but that is diminished (to some extent) these day anyway. I think in this day and age if you suspect the draw will be a major factor in a race - there are more ways to play it (with less variance) that don't have such a "lottery feel" to them as the tricast. |
