Not played - but I hate those late "super drifts" in the place market that make the place only bet look so attractive - impossible to tell if it's real or just arbers greening out! Laugh

The icing on the cake (in terms of feeling foolish!) - although the pre-race 4/1 was quite gettable - it even returns at 4/1 ISP Shocked

Agree Jon - I never had the 13:15 down as a 2 horse race anyway (although the early market pretty much did - prior to the NR) - swerve here.

Divine Magic is increasingly looking like the one for the 6.15.  Prioritise out to 8s on the books.

Yes Jon - the market is starting to say it's a play but I'm gonna stick with my earlier thoughts - I like the fav and the race is still just a tiny bit too "lurkey" (for me) to narrow down to just one confident EW play against her.

Same with the 16:25 (Ajrad) - looks an EW play for 3 places (on here only) but seems plenty short enough (at time of writing), don't love the trainer and quite possibly not just a two horse race.

Having a pleasing day here on other betting fronts, so having not played in the Chepstow opener (filthiest race on betting shape for ages) Cry - I think I will call it a day on this front without having fired any filthy bullets. GL mate if you play.

Prioritise wins nevertheless.  Happy with the plaice in the end.  A decent day.

I had some reservations about all of yesterdays "standout" filthy ew races and didn't stick any of them up as a thread bet. So, as is often the case, it turns out playing all of them would have been the best play and very profitable! - every horse placed and there were a couple of nice priced winners from the 4 races!

I can live with not playing the ew 2-bet in the 18:15 Wolverhampton (15/2 winner & 10/3 3rd) because I still think it was the right call - but swerving the 12:30 Chepstow (4/1 winner) will haunt me for a while! - In fairness, I did say from the outset probably no National Hunt bets for me on this thread - but that's still probably one of the the worst swerves EVER!

No Filthy EW thread bets yesterday.

It's great to see that a full two weeks after the Lincoln - the turf flat is in full flow! Shocked

Despite the Chepstow regrets from yesterday - I'm going to stick with about the only firm rule from my opening post by not putting up any NH races (as thread bets). The 13:50 Warwick is only very mildly tempting anyway and easy enough (for me) to pass up.

The 14:00 Kelso is much more tempting! - The fav (Presentandcounting) is well known to filthsters having landed a seriously classically filthy shaped jumpers bumper a couple of outings ago at 4/1 (faw was 4/11 and it was any price the rest). Taking him on today (with Upandatit EW) looks a bit of a no-brainer (purely on the maths) - but no NH thread bets for me, so GL if you play it. Roll on Newmarket next week!

Totally agree with you regarding Upandatit ....................Also had a nice each bet om O"Reilly in the first at Leopardstown @ 9/4 fairly sure it will start favourite ........laying quite a lot of it off on here .....good each way double too ........................Tight Lines.........

All change in the shape of the betting in the 14:00 anyway (due to the gamble - that was landed) - feeling slightly vindicated for giving the NH a swerve! - but it might still take a couple more like that to get over yesterdays swerve in the Chepstow opener.

Looks like we genuinely have some flat racing every day from here on in.Happy

...would it be possible for you to list all of the bets (i.e. since this new thread started) in tabular form?

It would make your thread even more interesting than it already is.

P.S.

If posting a table is not within your skill set I suggest you put a call out for the forumite happysandwich, who I'm sure would be only too pleased to give you the benefit of his expertise.

A few nice shaped races but Nothing for me today in terms of filthy EW.

Jon - the Olympic Conqueror drift is making it interesting and a proper tempter(for a NH rcae!). The trainer was in horrid form (couldn't buy a winner) around the time OC had his first two runs - and (in that context) they were good performances. He ran a nice race LTO (when the trainer was back in form), winning a fairly competitive (imo) little race for conditional jockeys with the addition of cheek-pieces. The jockey and the cheek-pieces are retained. He gets 12lbs from the front-running (likely over-bet?) Skelton ridden fav. If Cabot Cliffs runs his race OC will likely have to improve a little (but that looks quite probable) and assuming Cheltenham was Cabot Cliffs "target race" - you have to wonder a little bit if he is there for the right reasons today or partially just for the jockey! (title race).

Then again, there is a reason that I don't really play seriously on the the Filthy EW's on the NH! Laugh GL.

Excel is no problem - but from memory, getting the fecker to paste onto here (in a readable format) was a nightmare. I'll have a go, if and when I ever come up with another EW thread bet selection!

Odds-on jollies falling like dominoes at every meeting! - 14:20, 14:30, 14:40 - A scattergun approach would have been nice - but it was too tough to have gone with a (very confident) single ew selection against them all imo.

Yeah - agree with you 37 - I can't have the 15:50 Redcar as a filthy ew race - but will cheer the Crisford horse for Jon & Skip.

Gonna Keep an eye on 7.30 at Newcastle.

Morning Jon - Late on parade here - I got dragged around some of those "non-essential" shops - after 3 hours, I have concluded that it's a fairly accurate description!

13:15 Newton Abbot: A most pleasing shape - Caddyhill looks an absolute EW no-brainer (purely on shape and the maths) - but it's NH and I'm finding it a real struggle to fancy him on any other grounds apart from the betting shape and the maths! It's the kind of swerve (like Chepstow on Saturday) that usually comes back to bite - but I said no NH thread bets for me and will stick to that.

Also (at the prices) I quite like the (utterly friendless in the betting) Opening Bid (Plaice Only) - he's doubled in price since last night from 14's to 28's (so may well just be running for a Handicap mark) but 3/1+ for the place seems fair, as does odds against for 4TBP - but not a thread bet.

Agree with you about the 19:30 at Newcastle - it's one to watch - but they would really have to go for one in the betting to make it a play. GL

Yeah that's ugly Kenny - 200/1 Non-runner - but that's always on the cards as a possibility with the "dead 8" (unless you do it on here - but that's no good for plaice based multis & accas!).

In days gone by I sometimes framed my whole days EW/Plaice betting around such a race (EW banker coupled with ew doubles throughout the day). Still do it from time to time but NH always tempers my enthusiasm these days.

I backed Caddyhill at an average of 4.53 on here so no damage there but I did have a daft little shop bet about ten seconds before the withdrawal which obviously came a cropper.  Only interest now is the slightly dusty 7.30.

Pleased to hear you mostly played Caddyhill on here Cool

God hates me today imo - 3 hours of "non-essential" shopping, won (relatively speaking) a pittance from a nice priced winner and now me internet has gone "intermittent" GL.

19:30 Newcastle is looking like a reluctant swerve (for me).

I seem to remember this Malhoob going off a crazy short price FTO in an 8 horse race - setting up a classically filthy Each Way two-bet that resulted in a 4/1 winner and 5/1 second, with Malhoob back in 3rd as 4/11 fav! - but me being me, I think I swerved that one too! Laugh

GL if you play - catch up tomorrow.

Morning gents - a fine days racing - but I have got nothing for this thread today.

Had a good look at a few, including the 14:00, 15:45 & 17:45 but (as Skip says) not really murky or mucky enough for me. GL.
