The reason I’ve been missing selections is I haven’t been checking for late overnight runners.
I put them in as soon as the RP puts them up - hence so many non-runners.

Newbury 12:20 Tomorrow Mystery is one I would have missed.

If you highlight the data in my 04 Nov 20 17:09 post you can paste it into your own Excel sheet.
Widen the columns to get the data in them to fit.
Every box, with data in it, will have unnecessary spaces either end of the content.
Just delete them and they will align left.

Paste this into box F16 sum(f4:f15)
Paste this into box G16 sum(g4:g15)
Losing bets - paste this into box F18 count(f4:f15)
Winning bets - paste this into box F19 count(g4:g15)
No Bets - paste this into box F19 count(h4:h15)

Just read your post, as I was about to post, and Present Chief looks like it could be the lowest price of the 3 selections in the race. Making it the bet on the system under the new rules.

NEW RULES
1. Lay any horse that is going for a hat trick at odds NO BIGGER than BFSP 8.00
2. Anything bigger than BFSP 8.00 – NO BET
3. Two or more horses running in the same race – shorter price becomes selection
4. Lay to win a fixed amount e.g. £10

hapsan, just looking at your instructions in that last post, forget it, it isn't going to happen, they don't call me " a plank " for no reason. It's as much as I can do to switch on and log-in.

I'm just here for the ride. Might learn something and this might just be the start of something. There is good reason to suppose that there's the makings of a winning formula here, a tweak here and there, who knows ?

I altered rule 3 from NO BET to SHORTEST PRICE because someone said “why not back all selections in the same race”.

I pointed out that was just Compulsive Gambling and Greed.
That’s something I’m not interested in.

I saw your PM

First let me say I don’t believe there is such a thing as a “winning system”. Honest.

Over the last 3 weeks it has shown a small profit but it will eventually come unstuck via a bad run of losing of bets.

The £100 I put into my account on 28th Oct I expect to lose soon because I’m betting to win too much £10 = 10% of my pot each time.

I could get lucky and hit a winning streak but that applies to all gambling.

Twice, so far, I’ve had to put all that’s left of my pot on and got lucky.

I have £59.56 left after Tomorrow Mystery won and I will be down to the wire again Laying Present Chief in the 2:30 to win £10.

If that comes unstuck I will knock betting on the head for a while because I consider my luck would be out. That’s what shrewd punters do.

I’m only doing this for fun and hoping I get lucky, I’ve already kissed my money goodbye.

Horses maybe listed again because I looked at the RP days in advance for runners but from now on I will only do it the night before.
I’ve recently missed a couple through that mistake luckily they were pointed out to me in time.

You can now see the problem with multiple runners when they are virtually the same price just before the off.

It didn’t matter on this occasion because all 3 got beat – but that’s why I said it was best to leave the race alone.

You don’t need to gamble.

I missed the BFSP on Fugitives Drift can somebody post it, please?

Got your last PM but don’t wish to use PM’s for conversations, no offence.

Putting in a 4 to limit your losses seems a very good idea but I personally would find it too much sodding about.

Just getting the best price near the off is enough pressure for me.

Be interesting to see how you get on if you do use that method.

Bit of advice from an old timer – whatever you do in life if it affects your life adversely if it goes wrong - DON’T DO IT.

Don't think of it as a £336 outlay. Only one of the horses can win, so the worst case scenario was that the 23.0 shot wins, costing you £220, but you get £20 back from the other two losers, the worst case scenario is only -£200.

I have checked every result where you have posted a selection and noticed if you just stuck to horses that all three runs were in proper handicaps you would have hit only 6 winners all at shortish prices out of 44 bets e.g.
