Pleased to hear it Happy - I think for the integrity of the thread - you need to start from scratch. To keep it honest, you really should start afresh every time you introduce a new filter.

I think you definitely need to remove the purple patch at the beginning of this thread (first 3 weeks?) because it is essentially "back-fitted". i.e. You introduced a new rule but rather than start again at that point, you applied that new rule/filter to past results.

Also; I know you laughed dismissively at the last guy to suggest this (I think it was wondersobright) - but I think you need to start paying commission on your winning bets like the rest of us! - You are up to £27.00 in unpaid commission so far (obviously a bit less than that if you remove all the back-fitted selections).

That's your choice Happy - I'm struggling to believe that you find my comments too offensive to continue.

More likely it has dawned on you that without the back-fitting (and paying commission) that you are treading water - which is pretty much what you were told would happen way back at the beginning by people that had very kindly (imo) back-fitted you filters for you over many years results and told you that it was a waste of time. Pleased you had fun.

Happy - I've been busy with the Southwell festival of racing, so here is a fuller response to your "taking offence" at my comments:

In terms of my remarks causing you offence - I apologise unreservedly if that is truly the case - But I think it is much more likely that I have given you the "out" that you were looking. Either way, these are the (completely inoffensive) facts:

The commission is just a fact of life - there is nothing offensive about it - unfortunately everybody pays commission on their winning bets. If it weren't for the pesky commission, I could give you a million "winning systems" - but then again, without the commission Betfair wouldn't exist! A great many BF customers are likely just slowly losing to commission. In reality, you just have to pay it and unfortunately in reality it mounts up over time!

Regarding back-fitting - that's just a fact too - you decided to introduce a price cap of 6.00 (utterly pointless but fair enough it's your perogative) - but once you apply that to historic results - yes - I'm afraid it's just back-fitting!

Despite people very kindly demonstrating to you (inarguably) that laying hatrick seekers (nor backing them either for that matter!) wasn't a "goer" - I think the (short term variance of) weeks 1-3 unfortunately deceived you into believing that laying Hatrick seekers had some legs in the longer term. I suspect if there had been a decent profit (short term variance) in BACKING hatrick seekers in weeks 1-3, we would have had a backing hatrick seekers thread instead! - Unfortunately it would have gone the same way - the reality of the ACTUAL long-term future results would eventually cancel out the (fictional) back-fitted profits - maybe after treading water for a while.

FWIW - If you discount the first 3 weeks (with the back-fitted price limit) and pay commission like the rest of us - at a quick glance you are still about 12 points up over the 12 weeks. However 4 of those 8 points were achieved yesterday. Which I think proves my point!

So the shocking offence that my remarks have caused you - has probably done you a favour in terms of using your time more productively. GL.

Hatrick Seeker - The Golden Rebel wins the 13:05 Doncaster at 50/1 (BFSP)  - It would have been a good day to start a Hatrick Seeker Backing thread - Set a price cap - has to be minimum of 14/1 and above - it will take a good few months to erode the (pretend) profits imo.

I'm sure that, as with my comments, there has been no offence intended.
Not so much criticisms as genuinely sincere observations.
We're all wanting the same thing here but, as we all know, if you put up any back or lay proposition, it's there to be shot at.
We, I would hope, merely seek to discuss the failings, AS WELL AS THE SUCCESSES, the wheres and the why-fores and, if nothing else hapsan, you've given me much to ponder at a time when I was sitting here bored witless.

Waited until the last minute and watched Café Sydney drift to 6.40 and win (6.00 Limit),  so dodged a bullet there

AIs doesn't embolden HP's name on this thread simply because he is talking to himself.
