Last time I was in Munich was over 50 years ago and there was 3 foot icicles to contend with at 200yds up the TV tower where I was working. WD with the lays today, do i read it correctly that you made £30 (laying all of course). Keep it up, i assume you have an odds limit (hopefully yes) ? Looking at the first three weeks results: Chases 7 winners from 15 races...but when you look at the age of the horses five won from six aged 7+
Flat 5 winners from 9 races.....but when you look at the age of the horses all the winners were aged 3
Hurdle races 13 winners from 19 races the stand out to me is if you look at the horses that after its first handicap win run in a novice handicap or conditional handicap hurdle you have 6 winners from 6 races

There’s probably a standard route trainers take to best place a horse that has won its first Handicap. Let's hope you find it. I have all my 8 weeks HTS’s results in an Excel workbook so all I have to do is click on the sheet number at the bottom. Have you got your 4 weeks in one? What I have noticed on the HTS’s over the last 8 weeks is, using the BFSP 6.00 limit, at no point would you have busted a 20 point bank. It has gone on to make a 25.12 points profit. That's the problem with retrospectively adding more and more filters (in an attempt to filter out all of the losers) - you end up with no bets!

I hope you're not referring to my HTS’s thread, no filters have been or ever will be used. Simply Lay any horse that has won two consecutive races going for a third. I reduced the BFSP 8.00 limit to BFSP 6.00 for commonsense mathematical reasons. Two 7/1 back to back winners would reduce my £200 pot to £60, leaving me with insufficient funds to carry on. 1830, Look at my Week 8 above, it will be in the results after the Kempton 7:25 race. I personally didn’t Lay it @ 1/4 - that's called throwing money away. Happy - I wasn't having a dig at you. I have all the time in the world for anyone that puts up selections prior to the races, even more so if they keep a running P&L total and especially so if they keep it all on one thread!
You meet all of those criteria so I can read or choose not to read your thread quickly and easily. If everybody that puts up selections did the same, the forum would be a dream to navigate - it would be so much easier to read what you want to read and ignore/avoid what you want to ignore/avoid. Keep up the good work imo. I was just pointing out that I no longer know (and I'm clearly not the only one) what filters The_Dak is using for his selections. It would be nice if he could clarify - are the comments "easily" or "comfortably" now required in the race comments of the LTO winners? - and if so, from which publication? Thanks for the comments, I knew you wasn’t having a dig at me. I’m sure the_dak will be along later to explain how he is trying to hone into a better Win ratio. All systems have the dreaded long losing run and Daks is no exception. This is a bit of “food for thought” for you. These are the worst case scenarios (consecutive losers) over the last 8 weeks of my system and their odds. Week 2 = 3.98 & 2.19 Week 5 = 3.08 & 3.75 Week 6 = 2.75, 1.81, 3.39 & 2.42 = £63.70 loss Week 8 = £9.20 & £44.90 With the £200 = 20 point bank that I started with on Monday (now £222.80, missed Spring Romance) they would be easily manageable anywhere along the line. Also look at the whole Winners to Losers ratio at the bottom of Week 8.

Well, novice chasers actually. Sticking to odds of 1/2 ish. The last five results that I could find, going back to Dec. 4th. were 2nd 2nd Won Won Fell. and one of those was 2/9. At those odds a run of laying winners could be sustainable. Interestingly, the last six that I found in Ireland all won. With a view to betting only very occasionally, I find this interesting, will see how it goes. Nicky Henderson runs one at Chelts today.
