06 Nov 20 19:55 | Topic/replies: 313 | Blogger: the_dak's blog I have checked every result where you have posted a selection and noticed if you just stuck to horses that all three runs were in proper handicaps you would have hit only 6 winners all at shortish prices out of 44 bets e.g. This is a list of all your winners so far who have now won 2 consecutive proper Handicaps. If their next race is a proper Handicap it will meet your above criteria. Madhatter’s advised me the Timeform tracker is best so I’ve put them into that, just hope I’ve done it right. Btw If It’s OK with you when you put Sunday's selections up I’ll put them into the chart and post the results for the week after the last race Sunday. I will call that Week 1 and start a new one Monday. Makes it so much easier for reference purposes. If there’s anything you would like me to alter or put in let me know. The NR’s are out.

There's nothing for me today, not that I mind, first impressions last night and then this morning, I didn't/don't like the look of it one bit. I think someone said something in this thread about not using these systems, god I HATE that word, how about selection process? Your right, you don’t need to bet. Just enjoy watching the races and the results come up. Just as much fun. Looking at charts you can analyse the worst-case scenario and work out what % of your bank to use to bet and still have money to carry on. Dak started off with 5 winners on the trot, that’s like getting an Accumulator up, forget it. !0 losers on the trot @ £10, which happens, would be 50% of a £200 bank gone. £5 bets and you have 75% left. This is true. On 28th Oct I put £100 into my account and was going well (up & down) Laying to win £10 then 2 back to back Lay’s @ 5.80 & 7.00 on 7th Nov knocked me down to £7.56, out of the game. hapsan, I thought long and hard about your suggestion to lay all favs in novice races.
Sounds absurd. A bit like backing all favs doubling up until you get a winner, and NO, that's not as easy as you might think, I looked. But, I've tracked the favs over jumps for a few days and I really must trial this. With a suitable staking system, I think, at the very least, before going t1ts up, It could be fun. That makes a lot of sense imo The_Dak - i.e. I advocated a few pages back that a "time limit" on when the win was achieved has sound logic imo.
You guys have got me back-fitting now! - but I have always maintained that if you have sound logic for exploring a filter of any kind - it's a bit more fair game (than just adding them till they tell you what you want to hear!). I think there is sound logic in excluding all the Nursery winners too imo - i.e. The ones that won a nursery previously. No idea how that would pan out (I don't do databases myself) - but I would have thought it would be a positive filter to add.
